adarq looks like his squat is deeper but it isn't really comparable because adarq leans forward more also.

that guy in those pictures makes me think of something ive always found interesting. there seems to be a rare quality among some of the most naturally elite jumpers who can just take off in a whole different way then everybody else. i feel like even most good jumpers are pretty stiff but there are a few people that are just able to jump with a lot of freedom and deviate from their basic jump a lot.  i wonder though is it just that they are able to jump that much higher that they have more airtime, cover more ground, and in effect have more freedom in the air. or jumping doesnt require the same concntration and perfect form because they can just jump out of the gym however they jump?

and i wonder if you had someone who naturally was not in that group could you train them to have that seemingly innate effortless jumping ability. i know you would have to address many different aspects to attain that. if you're just squatting you're going to be able to do that squat motion with a lot of force behind it but not necessarily take off any other way. the people i think of dont look like they can just jump like they're squatting they look like they can take off. now ive noticed from stretching and doing different workouts ive felt like ive been more stiff and restricted with my jumping sometimes and more loose and able to effortlessly take off. im sure to some extent you can train for that i guess. i just found it weird ive known a lot of good jumpers but i could count off the guys who are able to jump like im talking about on my hand maybe im just crazy idk. i think it might have to do with bodytype which no amount of training will change.

are you content at ~153 or are you still going for <150?

what happened to ending with your 20 rep sets too? You swore by those. do you just not do them at this phase in your cycle?

I do like how you improve on your routine over time and adapt. I used to be completely obsessive about following the exact same lifts every day for a while but I've broken away from that although I still feel like I can't go too long without doing an exercise or my performance/numbers will suffer on it even if i substitute other exercises. I think some variety though maybe taking a session from doing certain things is beneficial from what i can tell and not always use the same exact weight and reps.

thoughts:

-that 2nd dunk, the two hander was sexy as fuck no homo. you cocked that shit back and timed it perfect.

-that slam dudes like at least 6'6 with huge hands of course he can do between the legs and windmills

-im astounded by how you stick to that diet of yours. it doesnt even look like you eat a whole meal like ever always just a few little essential things here and there. thats dedication. i'm really inconsistent with keeping that last 5-10 pounds off. i been eating like nonstop lately after cutting down on food for a while. i havent gained more then 5 pounds and even though i'm eating like twice what i was before im almost positivfe my weight will stay where it is now. i admire your dedication i need to get back on that before i get back serious into dunking.

do you have any suggestions on what to concentrate on while doing those 45 degree hypers. i attempted 2 sets of 15. i really concentrated on my glutes and keeping my abs really tight but i did still feel like my lower back mightve been getting some strain.

so you seem to be substituting 45deg hypers for glute raises. i looked up 45 degree hypers. whats the difference between them and a back extension? the example on youtube looked exactly like a back extension and didnt look like it would hit glutes at all. i already do back extensions but i was curious if this might be something i might want to add to my routine.

that thing looks really nice. i have a pretty nice juvenile delinquent switch blade that costed like 50 and this 3 inch "gerber" one from wal mart lol but that thing you got looks like the blade and handle is a lot more well designed and sturdy and just bad ass. how longs the blade? i wouldnt mind having a nicer non automatic one. with the laws about automatic knives and all plus i think automatic knives wear out and are less dependable.

whats the name of that one?

thats ridiculous. the fight or flight aspect of that is definitely really interesting. i've heard people can push their bodies beyond what their bodies can do safely in situations like yours just because all the adrenaline and just do things that would be normally impossible for their bodies. maybe thats why you were coughing. it would be interesting if you could train at that level all the time. i wonder if it might be beneficial for your speed having sprinted faster then you're normally capable of.

i had an incident one time when i was young where somebody pointed a gun at me at an apartment complex. i wasnt far from my house at all but i was paranoid i was going to be followed after i ran around this corner of a apartment building. when i was running away initatially i kept zig zagging like you said and not looking back cuz i was afraid they were like aiming at me. then i ran like 2-3 miles on this really long route around town behind buildings and stuff because i was afraid they'd follow me. this was back in middle school when i couldnt run a mile without finishing walking but i like sprinted the whole thing and never even thought about being tired or stopping. in retrospect im almost positive it was just an attempt to scare me but i still just was really afraid at the time i was going to get shot and just ran like there was no tomorrow.

maybe we'll have to train with armed men chasing us from now on like some new experimental training shit.
