damn he can fly. crazy how he chased some people down who looked like they had a sure "goal", but caught em.

He's one of the fastest in the NRL.

Off-field issues with alcohol have held him back from becoming a star.

The USA loss was a huge upset. Regardless of the squad the USA has they are always the favourites and deservedly so.

Tim Dahlberg (AP)

“USA Basketball’s plan for a third consecutive World Cup title started going off the rails long before this tournament even began, after just about everyone who was originally asked to play for this team turned down the opportunity. As such, this outcome was not exactly unexpected,” Dahlberg wrote.

“The better team won. But the best team was at home. Of the 35 players originally picked last year by USA Basketball for its roster pool this summer, four made it to China. The group that ultimately got assembled for this mission was a bunch of guys not even on the radar screens when this selection process began, a group that decided playing with and against really good players all summer — while getting coached by Gregg Popovich — was worth giving up nearly two months of an off-season. They played hard. But there’s no medal for playing hard.”

I wonder what sort of line up the USA will bring to the Olympics next year?

Australia beat France in an extremely close game 100-98.

This was a huge game for Australia as the loser had to play the USA in the quarter final. Nobody ever wants to play the number 1 team in the world, particularly in a quarter final.

As far as the quarter finals go they are still in progress. Argentina pulled off a massive upset by beating Serbia who were predicted to be the 2nd strongest team behind the USA.

France is currently playing against the USA in the quarter final. Australia is up against the Czech Republic.

Australia now 4-0 and play France next. Win against France and Australia progress through to the final 8. The world cup stared off with 32 teams. Amazingly Turkey didn't even make it to the final 16 after their epic performance against USA.

I'm looking forward to watching the Greek Freak play against USA soon.

Turkey came close to beating the USA recently.

Australia played nicely against Lithuania yesterday and play France next. France have 5 NBA players and will be a tough team to beat.

Ultrasound Findings:
There is a disruption of the deeper fibers of the Achilles tendon insertion with focal hypo echogenicity, hyperaemia at the distal tendon insertion extending over approximately 2cm in length. There is an increased echogenicity and hyperaemia also noted in the retrocalcaneal fat.
No fluid collection / haematoma are identified in the posterior calf.

Conclusion:
Disruption of the deeper fibers of plantaris tendon at the distal insertion with association inflammatory changes.

5 weeks later and my Achilles is still fucked. I've now been placed on a waiting list to see an Orthopedic Surgeon.

damn man that really sucks. how long do waiting lists like that usually take?

also: is there anything you can do to just promote overall healing/recovery, without directly stressing it? ie increasing blood flow via stationary bike etc.

The GP said about 2 years waiting time in the public system. If I go private it could be a few weeks.

Good suggestions with the promoting overall healing / recovering. I should start going to the gym and using the stationery bike. Also just lifestyle factors like not drinking as drinking thins the blood and inhibits recovery time.
