Saul canelo alvarez has announced he will be moving up a weight to fight rocky fieldings for the 168lb title.

 :gtfo:

I am starting to dislike canelo more and more. He is a 154lb fighter, made excuses to go up to fight ggg and now is jumping straight up to 168 to fight rocky fielding thinking it will be an easy fight and wants to win a title at a weight.

I don't mind it. Sure, go up and grab titles. But damn, feel bad for GGG.

Quote
Want to see errol spence face canelo and want spence to destroy him.

yea i'd like to see that also. not sure Spence could do it (especially not "destroy" Canelo), Canelo is a beast at 147.. but i'd like to see it. I liked Canelo alot more before the "draw robbery" and the "win robbery" against GGG, oh and before the "tainted meat". But I guess I should give him a pass on the tainted meat stuff, could be a legit possibility in Mexico, who knows.

Khabib vs mcgregor this weekend.
Looking forward to watching it.

Looking at the weigh in, damn they have a lot of fights taking place, I counted 12 and connor has not even weighed in yet lol that is a lot.

I hope khabib wins by submission or decision.

same.

Also, I have "50% irish genetics" and I want Khabib to destroy McGregor.

:D

I think Conor will be in for some trouble against Khabib. Khabib isn't fu*king around. He will get Conor down and just smother assault him.

leborn james is 6'8 with a good wing span.... he doesn't really NEED a 43 in vertical to take over.... he can get by with a 35' vertical.....

Depends on the perspective, the goal, where you see yourself going. If you intend to be just good or even very good, I very much agree. Lebron would still be an awesome player with 10'' less vert. But Lebron is not an awesome player, he is the best basketball player that ever lived ( says me, but even the worse hater would have him at top 5 ). If you are out to be GOAT, then you can't settle with getting by at anything. IMHO, for people that are the best in the world, at anything, be it sport, science, music, business, whatever, 'getting by' is an unknown word.

This remind me of that movie.  Whiplash 2014 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xDAsABdkWSc

i'm glad that style of coaching rarely works.

Whenver I see that actor I just think of OZ...such a great show!

Hah ya, me aswell.

Thinking OZ makes me want to vomit.. such a twisted show. I couldn't finish it unfortunately. I stopped at like S5.

Definitely a great show though hah.

Nike's on point lately. Love this:

2018 Chicago Marathon: Elite Field

https://assets-chicagomarathon-com.s3.amazonaws.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/Athlete-Roster-100318.pdf

https://www.chicagomarathon.com/press-center/elite-athlete-field/

MO FARAH, Rupp, Kirui, Mutai etc

crazy looking at the elite list.. how the fastest guys on there (2:04 guys) are "completely unknown" to most folks who follow running somewhat.

Also curious what Parker Stinson does. His CIM full was on pace to be 2:10 ish before he blew up due to cramps at like mile 22.

Mo is in incredible shape right now.. that Great North half he did (where he beat Jake) was really rough apparently, tons of headwind.. still dropped 59:26 or whatever. That's prime shape for him, and now he has marathon experience.

Galen in form to break the American Record too..

excited for CHI.

Also

During my physical

My hr bpm was 75
My blood pressure was 132/75

My typical hr is 60s and for some reason i tense up when I get my blood pressure taken, something about the thing squeezing your arm.  I don't like the feeling of someone grabbing me and it basically puts me into fight mode.

i feel the same way, it freaks me out.

i hate the automatic machines too.. always worry it'll break and not let go. good thing i got my knife on me at all times. lmfao.

but ya i hate that feeling.

Quote
Even though that went on its high normal.

When I last did my physical I was down 50lbs

I didn't get my piss test results back but im sure my sugar levels are normal or else he would have called.

Tonight
stepper
stretch

tomorrow

the normal run stretch etc etc

RDL
Lat pulldowns
db work
arms
stretch
walk or bike

oh yeah also with the drop in volume of running and what not I am cruising around 247 but hopefully that's just me just getting used to the change.

Insane!
Now, while being in awe from that workout, it is a bit easier to realize the greatness of Kipchoge ( or any other elite marathoner, 10-15 minutes more don't change anything ) : he did 26x1mile in 4'38'' each. Without rest. Mind blown!!!

yup. it's so crazy. it's basically alien :D

kipchoge was once a 3:50 miler so, he has a serious engine.

i imagine the athletes in that video are ~4:15 or so for the mile, i'd be curious though.

just searched the fastest (looking) one on the video, Dhruvil Patel

https://www.tfrrs.org/athletes/5468193/North_Central_IL/Dhruvil_Patel.html

4:19 for the mile official. I imagine he's a little faster than that now though.

13:58 for the 5k.

dude is crazy fast.. but then "nowhere close" to Kipchoge. It's really nuts.
