WTF , freak of nature!
I read in youtube comments that he hasnt even lifted?
And how about that jump in the beginning , he takes just one step and gets heels to chest height. That would be 45+ without even trying! Shit...

ya man.. it leaves you with a sick feeling in your stomach like "what if", you know? what if he stuck to it and had proper guidance..

that jump is so ridiculous hehe.

it made me think..hearing the way this guy trained...just by running 60m in his backyard...makes you wonder if there is a guy out there who is doing the same thing and is just a freak but is unknown

nice....i don't know if i understand if these are 2 different people though..one is you right? the 60m guy...and the 400m guy is your friend right?

only problem though is that i cannot understand your system of measurements...the cm and kg is messing me up man

pretty fast thought are you guys in college or older? a 10.6 is fast  and the other guy has 11.2 which is also super fast

Actually on the standing broad jump test I have had several long/triple jumpers do really well, mainly due to the fact that they are so much better at landing mechanics and stay in the air longer than the football/basketball athletes.  (eg hitch kick mechanics etc.) But yea, the actual power production is not as high, they are just better at the test, just like the football guys I have who have mastered the 40yd dash techniques and beat some of the sprinters at the 40, when in reality the sprinters are usually faster (even at the 40) they just arent as good at the skills of the test yet.  After mastering the start and other 40yd specific techniques, they usually dominate the football guys.

as sim would say...beginner gains

NO

damn.................why not?? i mean he always say that sprinters could squat alot but they just need to get rid of the beginner gains that separate themselves from their actual potential..same thing right?

6.27 is pretty fast!!! haha yea seen that vid 2 but forgot where it was...anyway, i wish adarqui had the style he did, did you check the hat on the way it? classic man..if you dress like that you know your gonna win

and what's with the younger look alike right next to him??

i herd that the dude pulled his hamstrings and that's what caused him to have to drop out

i wish i had an indoor track like that near me in the winter so i could run an open meet like that 1..i mean i knew i could at least beat the grandpa without blocks on the far left

402
my broad jump is < 100" if i don't train it.. it can get to around 104" when I start training it.

pretty bad yup.

maybe you should train it

but are there any correlation between broad jump and long jump?

broad jump is too hard on my knees, for me to train it all the time.. if i do say 3-4 x 5 and land deep, I don't like the aches I get.. i just have to get more powerful in the glutes/hams and just let that strength transfer over without training it..

I prefer double leg bounds for distance, it adds that reactive component which I love so much :)

well, long jump is so reactive that I see the correlation being low... I could definitely see a bunch of those top long jumpers having pretty shitty broad jumps when compared to say, and NFL db.

so just like standing jump and running vertical jump....i think people like in TFB have insane running but could have crappy standing right??

Hey folks, broad jumped 9'7 today in warm-ups. Form felt strange, but the width was not too bad even though I had hoped to hit 9'10 at least. Will test another time when I am fresh.

We need more stats here!!!

yea more stats would be cool

405
if Adarqui was that cool every1 in the world would be on his forum

i will be that cool one day, check my journal, i'm workin' :D

42-45" RVJ & 4.40 40 yard dash will make this forum unmanageable :D

I WILL BE THAT COOL.

yea but you also have to have 2 honey badgers as pets...remember the animals thread
