Bodybuilding / Bodybuilding is so gay
« on: April 11, 2011, 05:34:36 pm »
I'm all for builiding your own body (I do it), but the actual sport of bodybuilding is the gayest thing I've ever seen. Men with fake tans and wearing thongs getting judged by other men. And what goes on behind the scenes makes it even worse. Usually the winner is whoever's supplement company paid the most or whoever slept with the judges (srs). Plus they all look like shit

How about a simple bowl or two of muesli for breakfast?, which is pretty perfect if you find the right product.

When it comes to diet, people complicate the $hit out of it.

Just ask Lyle & JC.  ;D

I bulk on fast food, whole milk, and candy. Just saying

You'd probably be better off putting on some muscle first, but if you insist on cutting, just cut carbs a bit and eat below maintenance. You're not very lean so you don't need to get technical.

Just a mobility and muscle activation program. I doubt they are claiming huge gains off this.

God I hate powerlifters

All good. Everyone who does proper lifting hates bodybuilders anyway.

Both are gay

It's not that I hate the sport, I just hate the athletes in the sport. Compare the professionalism of powerlifting competitions to olympic lifting competitions.

It takes ridiculous genetics to run a sub 10, even with steroids.

Can't really believe a word anyone says.

Would that also apply to you JC if you was a professional athlete?.

Yes

For the people who genuinely believe most sprinters are juiced, is there anything in there persona/attitude/build etc that may convince you otherwise?.

so ya regardless, if 20 reppers make you stronger relative to bodyweight, then they improve vert.. they definitely aren't an endurance lift imo, i get stronger very fast when i incorporate 20 reppers.

How about 20 rep deadlifts as opposed to 20 rep squats?. Pro's/cons?.

You have some guys like Barry Ross who swear by deadlifting.

Not adarq but I think they'd be fine if you can keep your form. That's very hard to do with high rep deadlifts, and you'll end up just using your back.
