shit slowly hitting fan. the thing i helped organize this morning was a bit chaotic but ultimately a success i think. not massively, but we did what we set out to do. woke up at 4:45 and couldn't get back to sleep, was pretty wired.

damn good work.

hoping somehow biden can open up these leads. worried about what 45 and his minions have in store - they've been plotting for a while now, probably anticipating this exact scenario.

bleh. nervous.

so much "farm stuff" i haven't logged. been getting in at least 1 small workout per day.

the farm stuff is pretty tiring/physical. pulling tons of weeds, vines, etc. the vines are crazy, just thousands that consume trees. so, freeing up the trees by pulling these suckers off. very hard to get the "strangler fig" vines down though.. i literally did pullups on one today for fun. those vines feel like crazy strong rope. :ninja:

also, been waking up at 6-6:30 AM .. very early for me. so ez to do around here tho.

w/o:

- yard work from 8 AM to 4 PM:
pulling weeds/bushes/plants/vines, chopping down stuff, mowing everything, practicing knife throwing.. hah.

farm life.

i'm beat.. plan to do more tomorrow. cleaned up a ton of spots. looks great!

also met some more neighbors, cool folks.

and.. voted!

was worried that my address change would cause some problems.. but it didn't at all. was no problem.

OH.. and the poll worker guiding people into the voting center stopped me: hey, you into track and field? i'm like yea, love it. (I was wearing my black kenya t&f shirt)
.
he tells me he was a head track & field coach in the 70's .. guy knew his stuff. he's 70 years old now. Name was "Lou" iirc.

anyway we talked for like 30 min about training, strategy, old track & field races, and even new stuff (like donovan brazier). Guy was legit, he knew all of it. hah.

pretty cool. :ibrunning: :ibrunning: :ibrunning:

- warm up; intervals 400m in [85, 88, 87, 85, 87, 87, 86, 83] w/3:00 jogging rest; cool down
total distance just over 9 km. this workout is better with jogging rest (walking is too easy).

there was a group running at the track that actually looked pretty fit, one guy was really flying. i talked to them afterwards and turns out this is a regular thing, they belong to a local running club and have been working out together on wednesday evenings. got the fast dude's email (he did an 11:38 2-mile and then what must have been a similarly quick mile with a few minutes of rest in between) and will try to hook up with them in the future. would be cool to have a group to train with, especially if someone in the group is fitter than i am.

awesome man! training with a good group can be pretty fun, and really elevate your running crazy fast. it's awesome how the "pack" just boosts your ability so quick.

sounds like a good group to run with occasionally, nice !

sux about the kinvaras. any shoe that causes blisters/toenail pain etc, have to ditch em immediately - never gets better. i wrecked so many toenails like that, being stubborn about a particular shoe or wanting them snug (but too snug).

hope all is good w/ zeta.

pc man!

good luck with the lockdown man. really sux. also like LBSS said, hope everything is ok after the earth quake.

pc man!

oy, good luck with the lockdown. we're about a month behind europe over here, although cases are already spiking. just in time to have a crazy surge right after the election when shit is likely to get...unsettled.

yea man. not looking forward to the next few months over here. eek.

w/o 1:

- 3-5 sec paused dead hang ng pullups: BW x 9

- full dips: BW x 7 (yay)

- ssbar parallel squat: 75 lb. x 20

- standing barbell curl: 45 lb. x 25

- standing overhead press: 45 lb. x 20

w/o 2:

- ~1 hour full moon bike ride through the adjacent neighborhoods.. damn i love it out here.

- 3-5 sec paused dead hang chinups: BW x 9

- full dips: BW x 7

- ssbar parallel squat: 75 lb. x 25

happy about the dips.. starting to get my "pressing" back. pulls been fairly strong since I started. presses were much weaker. legs/overall feeling strong.

just getting back into it but feel good. will keep it light af + high rep + high freq for a long time.

full moon bike ride in pitch dark neighborhoods was epic. hah.

cool.
