disagree slightly with t0ddday. squats are GPP. i don't see why doing them in one kind of shoe or another would have more carryover to athletic movements. i can't squat deep without squatting shoes but if squats are just a part, rep- and effort-wise, of my training then what's the problem? i dunno, seems like the kind of false-carryover thinking that maxent would go for.

also not sure where he's getting the evidence for squat shoes causing tendinopathy.

the one-step PR is at 0:21. dunk attempts start at 2:00. huge thanks to acole for the patience -- great training with you today man!

edited it wrong, cut out a couple of decent attempts and included a couple of bad ones. oh well, can't be bothered to re-edit it. the dodgeball one i did just out of frustration.

squats look good. i disagree slightly with leonel: chucks are okay if you like 'em and i don't think the instability in your vid is that bad. but i'm a weightlifting shoe guy forever.

Hahaha I laughed in real life when I read that, especially since my back hurts so bad now

lol me too. except the back pain part.

my brother (the disappearing one) and i were sharing a room at this motel that we stayed at up in MA. he falls asleep before me and talks in his sleep a lot so i got a sense of a couple of his dreams. in one he was trying to get into a residential treatment program. introduced himself to whomever he was talking to on the phone, asked some questions about the program, asked for their fax number, etc. very thorough and polite. the other was more incoherent, kept saying the name of a major street near where we grew up and talking about crossing it.

meanwhile, in MY dream last night i was awake, reading, in the room and he was asleep. then he woke up and stood up to go to the bathroom. i looked over and he was naked from the waist down, and his dick was about 2 feet long and shaped like a wooden dowel with a hot dog skewered lengthwise on the end of it. that's all i remember. fucking weird.

Yep. Understand T0ddday method. Actually have it saved on my computer. There was a k where the sets number should be so just wanted clarification on that. All good.

straps are great, cheap and easy to use. being preoccupied with hook grip is just dumb ego unless you're trying to compete in PL and even then training with straps makes sense a lot of the time.

^^^10'5-6 regularly, 10'7 when i'm really flying

just got back from the trip. went okay, brother was able to join and we held it together for the most part, despite recent events. still, glad to be back. sitting for too long in the car (or plane) makes my right knee hurt, i think. it's gotten stiff from that forever, at least since i was a teenager, but the pain correlation (causation?) is more recent. it's really bugging me now.

just did

- daily routine

with my mom. right knee is in pain. looks like acole and i are going to work out tomorrow, should be fun!

GP adarq, i think that's what it is. i'm going to start trying to do them with a leg lift, as in a SLRVJ.

T0ddday, i dunno how high i get. should check. certainly higher than when i started doing them.
