On video for SURE Andrew! I was shocked when i saw it, it felt like a 'throw away' jump.

Hey...who doesnt like nips lmao!

No game for the other rec league Thursday so I had some time post work to relax...bad idea. Couldnt get outside my own head about some stuff. Met the guys at the gym and told them i might be distant and in my own world... headphones in... hoodie up... time for warmups and some extreme focus to get on track.

Warmups/jumps

Deadlifts:

135 x8, 225 x4, 315 x1, 405 x1...485 x1. motherfuckin PR. Video looks way to back driven but i didnt even feel it. Weird.

5x3 at 435lb. Superset 38" standing box jumps x2.

Circuits x2:
-BSS (185lbs x8 PR!), seated calf raises, box jumps x2, core
-seated ham curl, glute machine, box jumps x2, core
-standing ham curl+light box squat finisher.

Idk if it was the focused idgaf attitude or lack of fatigue from no game prior but 485 is nice. Good session!

Lmao! 😁 Im weird I know. Id rather go shirtless with my pasty whiteness than show my knees. Im getting less self conscious about them tho!

Well....we took a L tonight. Probably would have lost anyway but the officiating SUCKED. To the point where even I said something to a ref after some insanely bad calls (and my momma would kill me if she saw lol! Ive always just played through). I got ran through on a screen and was called for the offensive foul (lmfao), got hitnhard enough to get spun around in mid aor on a few layups...no calls. Took a very high and obviously blatant elbow to my face on D and was called for that too smh. It was borderline hilarious looking back but it just made me mad in game. That lead to me scoring a bit and talking back to them A LOT in the 4th. I got warned for a future T after I yelled "gimme that shit" when my guy tried to post me up and spin off for a layup...I pinned it on the glass btw. :) Also had probably my highest jump EVER halfway through the 4th...

In bounds play from the baseline. Ball goes up to the top of the key and I slipped baseline off the wing and no one saw it. Pointed to the rim and went up...the doubled the ball and he couldn't throw the lob :( I was both elbows on the rim reverse style and was high enough for me to think... damn Chris, you're UP right now! The 5 or 6 guys on both benches said I was basically head at the rim. From the far bench they said it looked like I was over it but i know thats the angle of perception. Either way it was the best feeling jump Ive ever had for sure. Had a baby two hander late in the 4th on a secondary break. Nothing special :(

Ate. Did some speed work after. Got some pretty clean 50" box jumps off 3 steps. Not bad. Deadlifts tomorrow!

Lifted back and biceps last night at 180lbs BW.

Kroc Rows 3x20 95lbs DBs supersetted w/ 5 pullups.

Circuit 3x: Lat pull downs, bicep curls, shoulder complex (standing one arm OHP/lateral raises), rear delt fly machine, core.

Then ran through about 45 mins of ball handling drills.

For the last few weeks Ive had a couple of my buddies lifting with me (1 for about 5 weeks, another 2 for the last week and a half) and its fun to watch them progress. Theyre all hoopers so they asked me to run them through some ball handling stuff after weights. This is helping me as well since i never get to actually drill lately! One of them apparently took some video ofe.messing around after drills last night so heres that lol!

Kobe had 60 through 3 against the mavs and one other team iirc.

Crazy thing here is (kinda pro/con for both Kobe and Klay)...look how freaking open he is!!!! GSW are so lethal as a squad that SOMEONE is always open. I can see him having more nights like this because what are you going to do? Double him and let Steph or KD go off? Nope. Hes just going to run off screens and get back door slips. Too easy. Pro for the team aspect for sure. Kobe had to do his on double and triple teams which speaks volumes to Kobes skill set and mind set but good lord Klay was barely breathing hard at the end lol!

If the 89 seconds thing is true it just backs up how unselfish the Warriors really are. Thats dumb crazy.

Lets seeeeee....

Friday did some back/biceps. Went well.
Saturday. Speed work (jump complexes, circuit: bamded jump squats, hang cleans, ME box jumps). Couldnt 'wake up' until the 3rd circuit then felt good.
Sunday. Chest/shoulders/triceps.... 45 mins of ball handling. Very nice.

Today...

Arrive at rec league game. warm up. Go out...feel good. Hit my first 3 shots (all 3s) before rimming out a heat check 25 footer. Proceed to drop 27 points in the first half and were down 44-40. But Im just not missing. I feel...normal. Like when i used to hoop  A LOT. Seond half...we come back. Up 15 or so and I come through the lane with 3 mins left and stuck at 48 points lol, get thrown an oop... I out jump the ball and try to 'slingshot' it. Back ironed. Holy hell! I got UP. Surprised becuase ive played every min...but im not tired. Hmmm. 1 min left. Still want 50... shovel pass in the lane. One step. Both hands. Body to body with a 6'2 defender. He has his hand on my shoulder and I dont care...Im putting him in a body bag. Nope. Back ironed again! Now Im mad AF. Next possession: Left to right crossover into the lane...RL plant...tomahawk. And I MURDERED it. Tried to kill the whole goal. 50 points! We win 90-68. :) I say hmmm... go make one ME jump. Dont feel the ankle snap but I see the video and wow. Ok. One attempt at a windmill off glass...meh shit toss. Off the dribble tomahawk just like in the game? Over powered lol! Im getting up but decide to save it for squats.

Go eat light.

Time to squat!!!! Using the missed poster as motivation.

Warmups + light jumps

Squat: bar x10, 135 x8, 225 x4, 315 x1, 365 x1, 385 x1. Explosive.

5x3 at 345lbs. Good reps.

Curcuits x2: step ups, calf raises, box jump, core. Leg extension, front squat, box jump, core.

GREAT workout!!!

Oh and vid of said post game shenanigans!

Thanks guys. Its still kind of crazy, how many people have lost everything and how its affected the community. Hopefully we can get everything back together and on track soon.

As for the gym...lets see. Finally got a workout in Wed night (back/biceps) and slept some. Today played a 3v3 rec league (no subs lol) game. We played horrible in the first half, down 11 at half time. Re game planned...came back...won by 6 in OT. Not bad. Ate then headed to the gym for deadlifts :)

Warmed up (again lol) plus some jumps

Deads:

135 x8, 225 x4, 315 x1, 405 x1, 475 x1!  :personal-record: Hell yes!

5x3 w/ 425lbs supersetted with box jumps.

Circuits x2: BSS (165lbs x8), seated calf raises, box jumps, core.
Ham curls, glute machine, box jumps and core.

Finished with 2x8 on some box squats, real low weight  (185lbs) trying to really explode up.

Not a bad day!

Oh. BW at 180.5 lbs at the gym  :( too much junk food lately.

This was off my back deck around 8pm before the rain came.

This is a pic of the strip in PF I work right in the bottom right corner area.

And this is the road I drive to get to work, that hillside was all smoldering ash this morning but the hotel and Dollywood are virtually unscathed except some wind damage.

From what I know the county as a whole is in a lot better shape than we could be in given thesize of the fires and such. As is we still have 3 confirmed deaths and a lot missing. Few thousand had to be evacuated from GBurg and hundreds of homes are burnt to the ground not including the rental cabins and such.

And then tonight... (its 3:43  right now) we start getting some much needed rain (didnt get a ton last night) and with it we have tornado warnings, 90+ mph registered winds and inch sized hail. Had to cut my gym time extremely short. Basically warmed up and left to go put the cars in the basement and try to wind/hail proof the house some.

Crazy few days its been. Hoping its on the upswing. The rain should help the fire situation.

My immediate family is ok. Adarq saw a pic i took and posted to insta around 8pm from my back deck. Got some sprinkles then the wind picked up and the fires jumped to within 5 miles of our house but it wasnt too stressful. Had a few people in my extended family evacuated from their places and I personally know of a handful of people that have lost everything :( I'll post some pics later from the closest fire. Pretty crazy I drove right through the smoldering ashes on my way to work this am.

For those confused...parts of my County burned to the ground last nigh amidst the East TN wildfires and 70mph winds. Got a little insane around 2am before some much needed rain came in and helped out.

Shoes / Re: dress shoes
« on: November 28, 2016, 06:43:36 pm »
Good dress shoes are expensive. I always felt bad because girls can go grab a dress from any department store and a pair of 20$ heels from anywhere and look like a million bucks but if a guy is wearing deaprtment store threads and 20$ shoes....it shoes.

Then i added in the cost of the makeup most of these girls need and their jewelry accessories... i didnt feel as bad lol
