Program Review / Re: Vertfreak

Long ago (about 5 months ago), I was a fan of Adam Link because of his story about his journey from a humble 'farm' boy to an astonishing 7 time ACC gold medalist. I decided to try out his program to help me achieve my own dreams on dunking. And because the review on verticaljumping.com by Jack Woodrup on Become a Freak say that the program is decent, I bought it. I didn't know by then that I will waste my money ($77 which is around P3200 in the Philippines which is a lot.). I had high expectations on the program.
It increased my squatting capacity by 15kls within 1 and a half months (100kls-115kls) but it was a newbie gain. During those months, I also increased my weight by 4kls which almost canceled out my relative strength gains. The plyometric exercises was too much high volume for one work-out. (see my log) I'm better of doing the Intro Block by Adarqui which after a month, I can do 115kls x5 (not max) and an inch or so higher with my vert.
And the information inside the program is not terrific as reviewed on verticaljumping.com it was horrific. The info about nutrition was just one paragraph, same with most of the sections. (Maybe except with the Jumping Technique but other info was very horrible.) I think he just did the whole program within an hour. I was better off reading VJB than VF 2.0. I'd be better off reading this site's info than that of VF 2.0 that's full of Adam links Opinion with no back-up research.
I only did the Beginner Explosive Work-out for 11 weeks because I didn't saw any gains and took the 12th week off. I gained almost nothing(Less than half an inch). The hard-work put in it is not worth the hardships(obviously). And Adam Link, before he joined the f-ing Maroko Scammer Group, sold his program for only $20 (I just discovered this from a post by an Adarq.org member) and now selling it for $77. What a rip off. I should have bought Prof. Verhosh's (don't know how to spell it) book, Super Training.
I don't recommend the Become a Freak to anyone. To all newbie like me who wants a shortcut and a 50 inch vert (like adam's, who I think is a genetic dunker), don't buy VF 2.0 and live the reality that there is NO shortcut only sickening perseverance and will. Look at adarqui, his passion is to have a 47 inch vert and after a year of hard training his almost there. Don't look up on Adam, you'll be fooled, instead look up on Adarqui and other members of this forum as your idol and inspiration. Follow Adarqui's words and training principles and your soul will be saved.
