weird. hip/glute/back felt awful yesterday. and today i went on a fairly solid run. easy sub 8 min/mi pace with no issues. odd. well actually, my right glute started feeling a little weird during the run but never got bad.
my sacral spine (issue) has been inflamed for a while now. i bet once that heals, everything disappears.. that's how weird that shit is.
Chauncy saying he'd like to see Kemba go to LA.. Kemba + LEBRON.
I'd love to see LEBRON finish it off strong in LA, needs some more pieces, Kemba would be a good one. NBA is all about big3 building now.. surprised Magic stepped down before all of that. weird.
As for the Heat's bad closeout of the season, J-RICH has been hurt for the last ~4-5 games or so.. and that's when we slid.
It's kinda cool how we had this unique throw back style 2G in Wade, and then we somehow found a similar player in J-RICH. J-Rich is very solid, he's fun to watch. He'll become lethal if his J improves.
HEAT getting killed by the NETS. Heat need to get back in this game tho and end it strong.
They destroyed PHI last night.
And talking about PHI.. Pierce mentioned not playing with anyone early on in his career. Go talk to AI, who didn't play with anyone, well except maybe Mutumbo, and got the 76rs to an NBA championship, AND stole game 1 vs the Dynasty Lakers which had Kobe/SHAQ. AI was the truth. Put him on any of these stacked squads of today and the NBA would be in serious trouble. AI literally had to ball hog to get his team W's.
I love this. And then how he refuses to concede even a little ground. I was reading some Instagram comments last night. Fucking hilarious.
lmfao i know. it's still cracking me up. he's 100% serious too. he's still getting roasted.. lol.
I don't think he's better than D-Wade, by a decent margin. But, PP was pretty good. Here's both players through 16 seasons (the most D-Wade will play when he retires after this season). If you respect advanced metrics, PP has better shooting and rebounding numbers, better VORP, more Win Shares (WS), and the same WS/48mins. He was a pretty skilled offensive player and is probably close to top 50 all-time. (Of course, playoff Wade >>> playoff PP, and Wade's '09 season was one of the best statistical peaks ever.)
For sure. Paul Pierce is a beast. I personally don't think he's in the same class as Wade, but I think the real issue is how adamant he seems, in that he's better than Wade. I think that's why most people are roasting him. He made himself an easy target.
Wade & Pierce have very different styles on the court. Pierce reminds me more of a Harden-like scorer, I mean he was a very aggressive scorer. Wade penetrates & dishes etc, has no problem trying to get everyone involved. Plus he was a throwback SG, not settling for 3's but instead going in for mid-range jumpers. Wade is also a top defensive guard, he was a threat on both ends of the court. So I think comparing them stats-wise is tough.
Last night, when Wade was asked whether he'd try to beat Kobe's 60 in his last game, he kinda threw a jab at Kobe.. he said something like "that's not me. it's not how i play. i get my teammates involved. the only time i've scored more than 50 is when someone really pissed me off." lol.
Kobe's 60 was impressive though, I remember being shocked. I don't care how much you ballhog.. when you've had that many injuries and have been so beat up all season, and then drop 60, that's insane.
hip/glute/back was bothering me a bit after. sat down for a long time for work, felt my glute/back get achy in that "position". by the end of the day it felt like total crap. seems like lots of it stems at the spine (sacral).

rest
lots of crazy stretching (been stretching alot lately, just not logging it. hamstrings have been getting looser (at least for my initial stretches)).
hip/glute feel better but still annoying. spine/sacrum inflamed.

paused dead-hang ng pullups: BW x 7 full dips: BW x 8
