« on: April 08, 2013, 05:52:59 pm »I'm thinking of doing everyday hip thrusts... they should have a good effect on my glute recruitment and who knows, maybe even strength and hypertrophy.
Try it and see, I did a few sets prior to each workout for a while and noticed nothing in the way of hypertrophy, but definitely some higher levels of glute activation early on even in light sets of different exercises.

I would agree with this, as i was very week in the glute activation department so i spent for about a half a year to a year on increasing glute activation pattern to help with my squat and i incorporate hip thrust but lying on the floor (glute bridges) which has helped and has helped a little in hypertrophy a little incorporating it with speed work.

You're right there definitely an excellent fight.
I'm glad alvarado won.
Alvarado definitely learned from his previous fight of not only brawling but brawling smart and moving around, rios was good at taking shots and hitting hard back.
man o man. alvarado ryu style speed upper cut i like how he is brawling and he is waiting by doing few punches ready to jump out and come right back in with a monstrous shot.
rios had the reach to get him, so was winning, almost toppled alvarado but alvarado kept up.
lesson: would agree with boxing > brawling where boxing=brawling, movement, power...
great fight.

I just started to watch it again.
I love watching the first few rounds especially round 2 when bradley was rocked and it got exciting on round 6 when bradley was dazed but trying to fight back aimlessly lol.
