speed lyfe.

crazy how i could hit this 2:58 km tonight - while being injured/coming off injury.. i remember in 2017 when I couldn't do it for the life of me. lol.

05/11/2019:
<= 4:59 mile (0) vs <= 2:59 km (1) vs <= 30s 200m (0) = 0 + 1 + 0 = 1

07:20 PM: hard speed: {0.70 mi @ 3:20 (4:48 min/mi), 1km split = 2:58 (4:47 min/min)} ::: (grass, spikes) /// felt great. first sub3-1km of 2019... 8|

i did that at < 200 SPM......... that's kind of nuts. didn't expect that. all the crazy slow running is paying off.

used the "throw the lob and go get it" technique. usually works well.

right glute/hip/hamstring bothered me slightly warming up .. but, needed to actually loosen up a bit, then it was fine. didn't feel it at all during the hard effort - which is good. also, not feeling it too much (but slightly) afterwards. ALSO, trying not to mess with it. instead, just icing the area - no stretching.

would like to hit some speed on monday & wednesday too.. sooo.. need to stay fresh.

feel pretty good, but cant wait until i'm 100%. slowly and hopefully surely.

peace!

Faaack, I'm so bad at updating stuff with work. BUT I've been good about focusing on actually getting in better health and letting go of small things (like journal updates...)

Minor update:
Bought a pull-up bar a couple months ago. Figured that if I'm not doing a full routine or going to the gym I could use it on occasion. Have added it to small workouts, but since I'm living alone I've gotten in the habit of doing some pullups/pushups/squats any time I walk through the doorway between the living room and the main hallway. It's good stuff :)

Feel like an actual 6 pack is starting to slowly come back and I'm back up to about 8-10 pullups at a time while simultaneously doing leg raises, though it depends if I'm using neutral grip or wide grip.

niiice! that's a solid way to do it. that simple style of training can lead to some great gains, if done consistently.

keep it up! :strong:

Incline DB benched 100x6!!! That ties my all-time PR. I think i weigh heavier than the last time i did it though

Binged today again. Freakin halal guys...

Squatted 315x5 as well. Been about... a year since i was at that weight? Also RDL’d 405x5 earlier this week. PR is 445x6 i think, somewhere around there

I cant believe squat singles of 405 used to be my bread and butter. What the heck. Thats so unreal to me. Not trying to say its impressive, but rather just the fact that it feels so out of reach for me right now yet i used to be at that level. It feels unreal that i used to do it.

Got some more food pics   :ibjumping: lazy to upload and post now. 2:34am, time for an hour or so of sleep. Had too much tea.

ya it's ridiculous how fast we lose strength. it's one thing with strength & vert training that bothers me.

anyway. might be out of reach for you now but, you always making big progress when you really focus. but also no need to rush it either.

Stat of the night:

Warriors with Curry and No KD: 27-1. That's insane. I get HOW and WHY KD makes them better (especially down the stretch) but last night was Warriors basketball. Tons of passing. Lots of movement. You don't get that with KD out there. Not that the O is completely stagnant but it's definitely lacking comparatively.

27-1 that's crazy. and ya, they had the best record in the NBA without Durant.

ya exactly. it was like HOU had to deal with a completely different opponent out of nowhere.

That said, I won some money lol! I figured Steph would reignite "MVP Steph" and damn did he ever. He went nuts in the 4th.

hah nice.

ya man.. he went back to steph-MVP, WITH A WRECKED LEFT HAND.

so ez to forget how lethal Steph is, when Durant is in the mix.

I'll have to try that Andrew!

Idk if it would have worked on this court tho. Like...I wiped, and within 3-4 steps... Junk. I was highly disappointed with the court maintenance.

it works. it's magic. works 100x better than hand-to-shoe wipe.

i did it on the slipperiest courts :ninja:

you have to do the wet/dry wipe technique before each max jump, but should give you serious grip.

curious now :D

pc!

After a ton of 50+ hour weeks limiting training and hooping (haven't played in about 3 weeks). I tried to go shoot today. Floor was so dusty it had dust bunnies on it. No amount ofo shoe wiping was helping so I was dejected. Attempted a few one step dunks and surprised myself especially with the LR plant variation but I had no motivation due to the floor and it showed in a downward spiral of energy. Fuck.

BW was 192 the other night. On week...3?... Of BW upper lifts. Gotta get back into the 180s

wet towel dry towel trick.

It wasn't good lol you can tell the situation that happened where the dude stole the production money hindered it.

It should have just been a YouTube video.

not really a westside fan, even tho they basically got me started with lifting (lmfao).

trailer looks good tho :ninja:

those dudes are too hardcore for me. just cracks me up. perhaps not the intended effect.

True that I think it's nutty too haha. I remember the old super training videos where guys would start to fight each other.

ya like, relax folks. :derp: the hell analogies and such lose me. it's like bruh, ur just lifting weights. people are funny.

"It's a life or death situation...we're fkn thoroughbred horses and if we break our legs then take us out the back and fkn shoot us".

LOL!

LMFAO @ that quote. had me cracking up when I watched it. then lol'n again after you put it into text.

beyond parody.

LMFAO yup.
