Maybe you should rest more... or check your diet or something. Maybe you're missing on a fundamental ingredient. I don't know. But lymph things are usually happening when an infection is around... so I don't know...

that's only marketing, lol!

Why do people put so much emphasis on the squat. Isn't the p-chain just as important for jumping as quads? Also what do you guys think is the dl to squat ratio athletes should be aiming for (specifically aiming this at Lance and Adarqui!)?

Depends very much on your build -> Chris Hickson vs tychver for example...

Power clean is from the floor bro. Like im telling you, no matter what you say... You're wrong. Just like a Power squat clean is from the floor then squatted. Hang clean is no more than 90 degree knee bend. Hang squat clean is when you squat it dumb shit. Jesus. I was making a point that his vid doesn't belong in the power clean section because it is not a power clean. It is a hang clean.

There is no such thing as a power squat clean. Power refers to catching with the hips above parallel. Catching with the hips below parallel is just a clean (as in clean and jerk).

wow tychver, u really like feeding the troll xD

What the fuck is a "Hang Power Clean?" You either do a Hang Clean, or a Power Clean. It's not one thing. A Hang Clean is pretty much half of a power clean.

I never said he didn't fully clean it. I said it wasn't a power clean AKA clean from the floor.

Knees over toes is not absolutely fine. Where'd you get the pic? A elementary health ed. book?

Reactive is what you make of it... "Adarq.org - Dedicated to athletic performance enhancement," ATHLETIC being the key word. No "athletic" positon consists of your ass being lower than your knees, or your knees past your toes. Yes you're right, free squats do strengthen your legs. BUT the risks FAR outweigh the benefits. I'd rather have my knees intact long enough to enjoy the benefits of squatting.

When's the last time you saw a BodyBuilder run the 40? They can't because their joints are destroyed from free squats. (Maybe some roids too.)

This site doesn't know the difference between a Hang Clean and a Power Clean.

I did box squats for over a year (like Defranco does) and it didn't really translate good to my vert and not even to my free squat. It could be because of my leverages (long femurs) so that i need to use more quads in free squats and jumps.

Looking back at it i would never stop doing free squats at all :ibsquatting:

Dave Tate on box squatting:

http://articles.elitefts.com/articles/training-articles/efs-classic-squatting-from-head-to-toe/

The love of the box squat comes from the fact that it allows WPO powerlifting guys to mimic a competition squat while lifting in training without the suit.

It does have some uses with athletes though. It's very useful for teaching lankier guys who can't squat easily to load the posterior chain.

He says a lot of bullshit in that article though. Like, the quads are not that important for squats because if they were, we'd all be using leg press weights in the squats. I mean, you don't need me to start debunking that, right?

please, do it!
