It probably means 4x8-10 @ 85% of 10RM, otherwise it would make no sense. still... doing high reps of squats coupled with depth jumps in between sets does not sound like a good idea to me.

My right ankle is also swollen sometimes for no particular reason. It's weird and keeping a close eye on it is definitely a good thing but I think as long as it doesn't hurt you should not worry too much about it. Keep up the good work man!  :ibsquatting:

Still.. is it healthy/unproblematic over the long run when your upperback collapses that much? I don't know, but I hardly doubt it... Again I have a lot of respect for that achievement so I'm just trying to help here.

Yeah the lift is very impressive but when you look at his back this is definitely not what I call "good form". Still, very strong lift!  :strong:

Damn the rounding of your lowerback and upperback as you push up the weight looks really unhealthy man! Or is this just me? ^^

Just wondering, at a height of 5'10'' and a bodyweight of 210lbs, where are your bf levels at? Because if your bodyfat is >10% I think this is pretty much within the boundaries of lean body mass you maximally can accumulate (genetically) or am I mistaken here?

Book came in today.. took a quick look at the mobility section at the end. And I have to say that I was a bit overwhelmed. I have the feeling that there are so many areas I need to work on but it's hard to say where I  have to start, and to find out which exercises I need to do in order to improve my health. Can anyone that read the book help me how I can get all this information organized. Reading the book myself will obviously help with this too but still. Thanks.

Hey guys, I just ordered kelly starretts book "becoming a supple leopard" because I always have these nagging little injuries and I need to do something about it. Has anybody of you read it, what do you think about it, is it a good read?

Chinups: BW + 25kg x 9... + Benchpress 70kg x 23 (max repout)

dumbell militarypress: 27,5kg x 8, with a bit left in the tank.. getting 40kg + for a few reps on this would be nice .   :headbang:

It's not like this progress came out of the blue.. For the last 6-7 months I trained my legs in the weigthroom pretty hard and my lowerbody is probably stronger than ever.. But I trained mainly on the machines(leg press/leg curls etc.) because of my stupid shoulder, so I didnt expect that increase in strength to transfer so well into my jumping.

Today was my first time jumping in over a year. Results were:
RVJ/2-steps: 80cm--> PR by 5cm
SVJ: 75cm -->PR By 7-8cm
Didn't do many max effort jumps.. got these numbers the first time I tried. Movement efficiency felt way off on the running jump. Also I'm quite bit heavier now(around86-87kg).
I wonder what I can do with a bit more practice and with less bodyweight (bf~13%)

So long..

Hey guys, haven't been active on here in ages. The reason why is that my right shoulder has been a bitch for a very long time. First I had some mild irritation of the supraspinatus and biceps tendon. I tried to "train through" it but obviously I just made it worse... One morning I woke up and could barely lift my right arm.  Went to a doctor and made an MRI he told me that I had a slap-lesion and that I need to get surgery or otherwise I wouldn't be able to recover....  Here I am now: About a year and lots of physiosessions/rehab work later, with a shoulder that is almost feeling back to normal. (~80%, still a bit stiff/achy at times)
Startet working out seriously in the gym about 3 months ago, pretty much everything is ok for my shoulder besides heavy back squatting and overhead pressing work, which feels funnys around my ac-joint area. So which pressing exercises should I try besides the benchpressing variations I'm doing right now, any ideas? Dips?Pushups?... Are there other suggestions and things I have to consider to get (keep) my shoulder completely healthy?
