Nutrition & Supplementation / Re: Beetroot juice & endurance
« on: April 26, 2010, 12:38:37 am »
this is sweet, I've never heard of this either. And this is quite affordable as well, minus the expense of the juicer. More affordable than cordyceps, but cordy is totally worth it - well I'll look for a study and post it later, but I'm have to go to a yoga class now... with friends of course, but I hope it will increase my recovery.
I just wonder, these types of ergogenic aids are targeted towards the endurance athlete; do you know of how (biochemically or w/e) this could help a sprinter? Like as the ATP/AP is running low, maybe this could do something? Cuz then us anaerobic athletes could benefit from this as well.

not sure about the beetroot and anaerobic performance, havn't looked into it that much. For anaerobic athletes, creatine definitely works.

who here is giong to try some beetroot juice? :) tkxii ???? bis0n ????

i'd rather buy it pre-juiced, just thinking about blending up beets and drinking it is making me want to puke.. hah

that look's really close, what do you think he hit? He definitely got above the exit sign, after that I can't really see clearly

im thinking around 12' or so..

his reach is probably like 92", 144" - 92" = 52.. could be a little higher or lower than 12', but its around there.

flyin.

sick workout man...killed it.. the 10'5" touch is gud must of felt great just 11 more inches to a pr  ;), i always get killer motviation for vert training when my vert is great or pr'd or whateva......i get depressed and demotivated when vert = shit.

thanks, ya it was very tough.. i do all of these workouts without any water too.

lol ya.. 11 inches to pr, that's funny when you think about it.. im pretty sure i will get back up to 11' without lifting.. all this damn bodyweight crap im doing + sprinting + shadow boxing etc is making me feel very strong.. my calfs are becoming very strong, but at the same time they are suffering small injuries.. the stress from those interval sprints on my calfs is bigtime. During calf raises tonight, my body lifted so easily, so powerful, on each calf raise rep, honestly better than ive ever felt.. so they are getting alot stronger.

ya i'd get 'depressed' when i had a bad vert session, BUT, after that temporary depression it would turn into anger and then fuel me hardcore, whether it was in workouts or another jump session.

cya man

- long, on ball of foot, deep, explosive on the way up
- 100

just a question, what kind of music are you into darq? what songs? and how is that eddy guy going with his vert? I remember some old vertec vids of you guys and just wanted to know. Cheers.

well, on my ipod i got rap, trance, classical, instrumental hiphop, some dance stuff.. mostly rap though.

eddie lives about 35 minutes away from me so we don't really train anymore since i left MSC.. sucks man, loved training with him and all those other people.. i don't think he's really been training, maybe playing basketball occasionally.. so :/
