Yeah the forum is so mislead..........Would give those iso's a go....like the ones korfist and co do? thanks for the reply again, cant wait for a new blog post  ;)

Yeah, they are all conversing with a guy who claims to be some LDISO god, who can't even put out a video, name any athletes he's trained, has hardly any credentials, etc. It's a cult following :) Check the Jay Schroeder thread in call em out, give that a read you'll laugh your ass off. That thread is based on this topic we are discussing.

WGF Iso's would definitely be something you could try, but I wouldn't right now, keep making gains on what you are doing. WGF methods don't incorporate squat, but they do incorporate reactive squat etc. All of their max strength work is done using iso's, then they have you do reactive/plyometric work & correctional work (glute/feet/core etc).

From the journals on 'db hammer forum', which used to be about inno sport's methods (WGF improved inno sport & gave it life), most people get all caught up into that ideology, but eventually go back to the basics.. that's a pretty telling sign.. but you never know how good they could have done with proper WGF coaching from korfist/fichter. I'd imagine with direct coaching, WGF's methods are very good, but it's pretty hard to do on one's own.

Darq, what is your view on LDISO's, the WGF guys swear by them.....most efficient way to get strong etc. Like the iso lunge for minutes and such.

as prescribed, 5 minutes per exercise & ONLY training using the ldiso's for 3-6 months, i think they are a waste of time.

pulling yourself into position, maximally, can lead to strength gains, but you don't need 5 minutes of it to obtain them.. the ldios's are backed by ridiculously insane claims, and by individuals who cannot provide proper credentials. honestly, they are just a cult following..

the actual WGF guys (korfist/fichter) don't say they are the most efficient way to get strong, that's the funny thing about it. That forum has been taken over by Jay Schroeder worshippers & james colbert. WGF uses weighted isos, such as very heavy split squat holds for 7-20seconds.

It's like the WGF guys don't even read their own forum, but, if they do, i'm surprised they allow it to continue. That forum should be about utilizing WGF methods, instead it's a 2-3 year failed LDISO experiment for the most part, with tons of bullshit slung left & right.

quads = sore as f*k
hams = sore as f*k

from the sprints?

ya.. woke up, hams still sore, but i think ill be alright, we'll see.

i need to make sure that i keep up some MAX-V sprinting at least 1x/week so that I never get this sore from it.. I have been doing sprints but 400-800 etc, which has me holding back a bit as im pacing, i need to make sure i hit 50-200m 100% sprints at least 1x/week.

bw 159

quads = sore as f*k
hams = sore as f*k

back feeling a bit better

upper body a little sore

groin a little sore

~8 mile walk:
- 2 hours
- tightened up a bit while walking, hams /quads were feeling it

hopefully that helps me recovery alot for tomorrow.. wanted to get in a good heavy bag session but my legs feel dead..

no idea how ill feel when i wake up! if i feel extremely crappy i might do some punch conditioning crap instead of what i had planned.

One of the comments said 140 kg squat, 160 kg dead.
6 plates(20 kg x 12 + 20kg bar?) on each side for the squat.

ah, those are the stats i heard too..

i mean he walks around at say 215-220, so, not impressive by relative strength standards, but these are fighters so..

Looks a lot better.
It might just be your shirt(or it might not), it does look like your lower back is rounding just a little bit at the bottom of your squats, but definately much better.

i agree, definitely much better..

don't try and force depth at this point, small gains in depth will come naturally as you keep training squat.. and like i've said before, you have some really long legs, this form looks good for you.

http://tkohub.com/mariusz-pudzianowski-vs-yusuke-kawaguchi-video-ksw-13/

damn he was hammering him in the beginning but got gassed real quick, however the other guy was dead too.  The other guy considered a good fighter?  The rest of the fight was mostly hugging

thanks for that link , gonna watch the whole thing now..

ya man this guy was pretty good.. decent at least.. any time you have a question about an mma fighter, goto google and type:

<fighter name> sherdog

and you'll get his bio:

http://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Yusuke-Kawaguchi-21975

11-2, he fought in alot of Deep's and M1 events so, not bad.
