yesterday

yoga 30m meditation 30m

run 8km, 2k warm up 5k tempo, 1k warm down. Tried to keep tempo splits under 4.20/km splits - which felt fairly OK tbh (21.08 for the 5k), had a horrendous side stitch towards the end though (always right sided recently, i feel like if you get a bad one you cause some kinda damage/inflammation which then makes you way more predisposed to them for a while, they seem to come in bouts)

push up 3 x 50 (limiting rest to 3m was acutally pretty hard to hit 50 in the last set)
chin up 12kg 5 x 5 (modifying the program out of boredom now)

got tested this morning, results in 3-5 days. i doubt i've been infected but it'll be interesting to find out.

did you get tested based on symptoms or can anybody be tested over there? hope its negative.

wouldn't worry so much about the seeming drop in fitness otherwise... change in conditions/long flights etc are all going to impact. it's like going to a new gym for the first time I always find myself to be significantly weaker until i get used to the place, weird.

pull ups 1+2+3+4+5+6+7+8+5 (rest = previous set x 10s)
run 6.5km 4.53/km pace mostly easy but shins hurt and got side stitch (dehydrate)

got turned down from job that i had an interview for sigh

Run - decided to build a bit of speed into long run days so went for a 10 mile pb

10 miles - 1hr 16 (4.45min/km avg pace) actually felt super easy especially when running relaxed.

Walked a couple miles with gf for cool down, nice evening

meditation getting extremely blissful at the moment to the point where it's hard to get on and do anything else!

sick.

I genuinely sometimes wonder about giving this life up and becoming a monk in the himalayas, ha.

Today

Yoga 30m, meditation 1hr

Run 23. 3km 5.33min/km avg. slow start and lots of goal marathon pace kms towards the end. Ran basically 11am to 1pm so super hot. Now my balls are chafed. This is about my limit for taking water and oh my god I'm so glad I did.

feet elevated push up (gonna start mixing them up as getting bored...) 37, 34, 30

tempo run: easy 2k, 5k at 4.25-4.40min/km pace felt gassed and got a stitch, easy 1km to cool down - definitely harder due to hotter weather!

yoga 30m meditation 30m - meditation getting extremely blissful at the moment to the point where it's hard to get on and do anything else!

no cycle commute. seat post is entirely stuck and has to go to 'seat post man' for a last ditch attempt to remove it and save the bike  :ffffffuuuuuu: so probably looking at at least 2 weeks with no cycling now :(

pull ups 6x6, 3x5 60s rest (meant to be 9x6 but just wasn't there)

~2 hrs shooting some hoops for the first time in like a year. Crazy how the muscle memory is still there.... I'm thinking of moving in august and if I do I may join the local basketball team... (bring on the injuries YAY)

Did a little leg strength session for the first time in a while too...nothing crazy as I don't want debilitating doms for the next week

SL RDL 12kg KB 2 x 10
Bulgarian SS 2 x 10 BW (had to bail on last set left leg as adductors felt like they were heading to SNAP CITY)

first 3 km w/ex-gf (weird to type that) in ~6:15 pace, then pretty steady ~4:54 average the rest of the way.

- stretch

i have tinnitus like crazy in my left ear all of a sudden. started yesterday. no idea what might have brought it on. no loud noises i can think of, and i don't feel unwell. strange.

Tinnitus as in a ringing or a different sound? Stress related perhaps with all that has been going on?

I've had a pulsatile tinnitus in my right ear for a while, think I need to get it checked out.

was all set for 50 mile cycle trip to visit parents garden as we are now allowed however my bike had different ideas, jammed seat post. no cycling till its fixed :'(
... so instead walked probably 10-12k to the local park and around and about with lots of rests

push up 3 x 50
pull up 14, 7, 7, 6, 6
