what did castillo do differently, that people always refer to this fight that gave mayweather the most problems.

i forget, i'll have to rewatch it. i remember it being very close tho, the first fight.

Manny pacquiao training day 4 - He looks amazingly fast, which what he needs more than power, which he naturally has to defeat mayweather

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EfED2iwSnOc

Mayweather is also training like usually does.

niice!@!

mayweather all day.. I love how he hits the heavy bag, slow as fuck. I have my ideas as to why he does it but i'd eventually like to know for sure, hardly anyone hits a heavy bag like he does. You never see him going nuts at the heavy bag.

pac loves to go nuts at the heavy bag, without bringing his hands back defensively.. ;f

Exactly what i was thinking why he hits it slow but my idea is that probably he is doing it not for power but for form and combination practice and maybe doesn't want to risk injuring his hands ...

mosley rocked pbf in round 2 i think.. i remember his glove touching.

You have a good memory, I saw the fight, mosley did rock him but i didn't see myweather's glove touch the ground, the thing i like about the judah fight is it is speed vs speed and judah was the faster one.

Was watching the Zab Judah, fight man Floyd did get knocked out i saw his goves touch the floor. That was mayweather in his prime, getting troubled by a south paw the speedy zab judah.

It was an entertaining fight especially in round 10 with the commotion in the ring lol

I think if Zab had more stamina and endurace he would have been able to beat mayweather but he wasted alot of his energy at the start, winded out in the 8-10 rounds and started to work hard again in the last rounds.

Only one to floor mayweather and give him problem, so the question is is floyd better now which i doubt a little smarter but if manny does something similar but with his style to it he will win the fight easily.

Boxing / Re: gennady vs murray

It was an ok fight, golovkin is very good and very cautious when fighting murray, his uppercuts they don't look powerful unless they connect, sometimes i don't understand the purpose of the weak uppercuts maybe to distract him or open him up.
murray has a solid defence, i was taking this like a prediction of a pacquiao vs mayweather and pacquiao wins from the ko's lol

the ko's from golovkin looked nasty, but the punch to the temple didn't look powerful but suprised how it caused it to ko him.

an ok fight, reminds me of a honey badger vs a snake bulked up so has no speed.

ya still too easy for golovkin.. he's just too good to fight sub-elite fighters. He likes to throw light punches to confuse his opponent, he does it in every fight. Lots of light punches then he slips in a big one.. Sometimes he'll go minutes throwing light shots, opponent doesn't know when the power is coming.

As always he's devastating to the body. Those body shots destroyed Murray.

GGG 19 straight ko's, insanity. His fight frequency is incredible too, old school style fighter.

lol that makes sense light shots that opponent don't know when the power will come, i get it now.
he is very smart

that body shot was really powerful, that caused him to take a knee.

they said it matches mike tyson 19ko streak, hope the 20th KO is against miguel cotto

Predictions:

I see it as Manny pacquiao UD because of a KO in the first few rounds and a late round Ko, mayweather's boxing will cause some trouble but pacquiao's excellent footwork is going to overcome that and win the show.

Expect a rematch with pacquiao getting majority of purse.

looks okay, suggest more sprint volume though. like start with 8 reps.

Thanks for advice, I will probably progress to it quickly than maintain it at 8 reps

2097
this is going to be my workout, something like this.

A-march, a-skip, and a-run 2 x 25 yds each

30 meter sprints x 4 reps (from 2 point stance, alternate lead legs)

ankle jump: 3 x 8

tuck jump 3 x 8

dumbell bulgarian split squat: 3 x 6-8

leg curl: 3 x 6-8

Do 30 meter sprints only for a month or so until you see a pretty good improvement in
your times. Then do the same thing but extend the sprint distance out to 60
meters.

a low level strength workout.

Progress Journals & Experimental Routines / Re: THE DREAM JOURNAL
« on: February 09, 2015, 10:03:46 am »
I had this wierd dream that I was in an indoor track, small, and I was racing usain bolt and others who I don't remember seeing or knowing, so once the race started I was ahead, felt slow and sluggish and then for some reason i couldn't control myself and came onto bolts lane and then back and won, so i was apologizing, for coming on to his lane and told others i accidentally went on his lane, they both said you have to try stop controlling everything or it, i'm confused what they were on about. controlling it or everything.
strange dream.

post vid of squats. i do not believe that you can't squat 40kg.

also, welcome back. where you been at?

I have started a volunteer job at teaching, cannot find any jobs in engineering and also doing a teaching course as well.
so I am busy the whole week except weekend, so i went to gym on weekend. in the meantime I have been having a chat with a coach on coming up with my next program, most probably strength oriented workout.

I couldn't do 40kg, but after front squatting 40kg, I was able to squat 40kg, but I think I won't be able to squat 50kg.
I can try post a vid of that?

I just suck at squats when it gets heavy, my body just can't comprehend how it will be able to squat it. but I attempt it nevertheless and fail.
thanks

Warm ups: single leg glute bridges, ankle calf mobility drill placing balls of feet on wall and leaning forward to stretch the calf
I then did hip mobility drills and stretches and hamstring mobility lean over stretch.

Squats, starting from no weights, then 20kg, 30kg x 3 (a little struggle), 40kg x 0 failed
Front squats, empty, 20kg x 2-3 wrists hurt alot after, 30kg a little struggle, 40kg x 1 it was a struggle a little lean forward but not too much the weights fall of so i guess not bad lean, and managed 1. After I felt good to try 40kg squat again, it was much better like 30kg, so I guess the max would be at 50kg I would fail there. The squats are deep squats. After I did the deadlifts, which I never let my shoulders roll down, I always keep them back and managed up to 70kg.

Before I could do 40kg's easy even pause but after no lifting it has become hard. But never did 40kg front squats. never did front squats, knew how to do them but never ever did them.

Squats 50kg fail
Front Squats 40kg x 1
Deadlifts 70kg x 2-3

My Legs being bigger than my upper body making squats hard is so annoying and need to find a way to improve or if not possible then look for an equivalent alternative, which I doubt any other workouts that target same area as squat exits
