But I mean their approach numbers were like 3-4 inches off from the standing numbers, for a lot of them. That's what I thought was interesting: they're supposed to all be super reactive and whatnot and a bunch of them just aren't, or weren't during that test.

ya well if you check the difference between max RVJ and SVJ, you'll see huge differences..

in someone who isn't as reactive, you'll see say: 35 SVJ, 38 1-step RVJ, 39 FULL RVJ

these guys are basically: 30 SVJ, 34 1-step RVJ, 39 FULL RVJ

i don't expect a 1-step to have a huge difference against SVJ, even for reactive people.. it will be more of course, but not necessarily huge, because it's the run up that is of importance in being reactive, ie, the more speed generated during the runup results in big differences between SVJ/RVJ, which would classify someone as reactive.. less reactive people can't handle these big run ups, in fact you'll see many of them have very weak runups consisting of speed that they could get in a 1-2 step jump, they basically just coast at a slower speed because larger speeds don't help them much at all.

peace !

Stir fry is looking good, did you like it? I would love to contribute some pics to this thread but my girlfriend is currently abroad and took the camera with her...

How is paleo diet so far? I am thinking about moving in that direction eating wise but I actually don't know if I have the cooking skills under my belt to actually like it  ;D

ya the stir frys are great!!!! makes my body/mind feel fresh too, i'm eating very clean lately and I love it.. i'm not eating paleo, just very clean.. i drink milk/eat cheese etc :D ive pretty much cut out ALL processed foods though.

It felt great going in, but I rolled my ankle at practice. Not serious but it hurts on flexion and eversion and is not normal. Now it's ice/NSAIDs/wrapping/rest.

Fuck. My. Life.

That is all.

dammit !

you might need to add in single leg RFI's when you're healthy, and do them 2-3x/week, those are pretty great for ankle stability.

league games are at 2 different courts. at the one where i got my vid, that was the court with the higher rim.

best so far was abit of palm, only once tho, a few weeks ago.

yesterday, was at the court with the lower rim, think my best there, was all my fingers, though that was sometime back... seldom have games scheduled there.

but... i got almost the entire palm over! heh heh, i dunno what the actual vert is, but i think its abit of a pr.

still felt like i could maybe get higher, but i tried for a few more times, but couldnt get anythin done. my runup and gathering needs some work, i had the feeling i couldnt generate all my power into the jump properly. also, i couldnt really go vertically/vertically, i was always kinda reaching for the rim, not like the jumps u filmed, where u always seemed to plant perfectly and go straight up.

im confused but hopefully it was a PR !! hehe

last time you jumped there, only fingers over, this time whole palm.. i mean sounds like a PR, if it was, then im very happy! HEH!!

ya my plant is pretty efficient.. you just have to not think and do it, over and over, body will make it all reflexive.

peace, we'll do something similar as last week for this week again, looks like you responded well to it.

when we are subscribed to a thread and a new comment is posted, can we make the comment visible to the reader in the email instead of just saying a new comment has been posted? like what facebook does.  peace

ill look into that, they might have a plugin for it.. i would like it to be an option that you can set in your profile or on each thread etc, that would be cool.

peace

You should measure the distance from the tip of your finger to the bottom of your chin, cause thats how high you jumpes, it wont be 100% accurate but hey, what is...... :D get back to me if you do

my hand is about 8 inches, my head seems to be like 12 inches (just estimating).

ya i dno how high those are but, im actually thinking the rim is EXACTLY 8' (or 8'1), and my normal 96" reach was 95" because I was in track flats not basketball shoes.. so height would be 72", reach 95", rim 96".

so ya, whatever that is lol.. so just grazing the top of my head to the rim would be 24".. im getting like 10-12" over or so ?

ya dno, but im happy with the jumps, was surprised when i saw the footage.

peace man!

im off to sleep.

154 after workout..

went to park, did some jumps, walked to some other place, did some jumps, interval jogged to some church 3 miles away, did these jumps there.. 2 x 5 jumps pretty much.. interval jogged home.. cant really sprint koz im holding my backpack in my right hand as i run, to keep my cam from bouncing up and down and getting damaged. Came home, pullups/dips (12).

finished off nigth with:
- pmghr's x 12 (small rom)
- calf raises on block x 50
- squat iso....... currently in the process of iso'n..... argh!!!!!!      4 minutes, PR!!!!!! tough as hell :D

some interesting jumps from tonight (from 2 steps, in my track flats)...... found an 8'1"-8'2" hoop at a church, with some nice lighting, im in heaven :D

best one of them all i think:

hey darq ive noticed with your jumps, especially your "inception crazy whateva dunk mix" that when you plant your left foot dorsi flexes like crazy but your right does not, i know it wont mean jack but just an observation......an BTW  nice work on that 15 year old gullible kid, U SICK TWISTED MAN  8), I saw his comments on that inception vid, hah gullible lil kid..........

ya i troll sometimes for fun, but i mean i didn't know he was 15 to start off with, so that makes this excusable :) once i found he was 15 i went for the kill mwahaha.

ya about the left dorsi, it's mostly because i sit into that left leg alot, like im kind of leaning all of my weight onto it, so that angle needs more dorsiflexion than right leg.

peace man

ok uh i got some interesting/cool jumps from tonight............................... HEHE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm trying to be as active as I can man.
The new job takes so much out of me, (9.5 hours/day....sometimes 12 h) I try to go out there and ball every single time that I can though.
Some A-rank pro baller is expected to play around here in a couple of weeks. And I'm talking about guys who played-play in the top national league and in the national team. So I'm pretty excited about it.

Knee is doing fine. A little bit of discomfort from time to time. Nothing that I should be worried about too much, I think.
I got to do a CT and see a specialist on July the 2nd.

That's it.

awesome man im so glad your knee is doing well enough to play on etc.. seriously that relieves me i know how much you love balling/jumping.
