man. legs/injury areas feel great right now. it's crazy considering i tried to rip my leg off throughout the day. :o

no hard/fast running/racing until this is 100% healed.

did some crazy stretching. def a learning experience going on.

some epic long holds.. literally ~30 min or so, standing right hamstring/glute stretch: propping my leg up on a high padded stool, shifting it around a bit but maintaining the stretch, while doing work on my laptop. crazy. felt so many odd sensations deep in my sacral spine. they also persisted for a while afterwards. legs feel great right now. the fact that i can do a hold like that for so long (and 1.5 hour leg drain etc), means i've made some serious flexibility progress.

but ya did lots of long holds throughout the day, mostly right hamstring/glute/sacral spine related. also did my some long holds (def ~15 min or so a few times) with legs out to the sides touching the floor, shifting that around a bit etc. that feels great because it targets adductors as well, probably the tightest muscle group on my body (that I know of).

the sensations in my sacral spine from some of these long holds makes me "feel" like something in is teetering on loosening up, and causing a pain relief chain reaction for all of the other spots. i could be completely wrong, but that's what it felt like when i released it for those few days, like 3-4 weeks ago.

i'm becoming jeac cousteau with this stretch stuff.

her celebration was awesome.

a competitor congratulated her well after the race, then told her to go take a lap, and Sifan asked her to run the lap with her. lool.

ahhh.. she even posted a photo with her after the race:

I ❤️ the feeling of after my race WR 4️⃣:1️⃣2️⃣.3️⃣3️⃣🙀.... congratulation to @lauraweightman1 you’re awesome 👏🏾.

I don't really think that was going to happen, until Sifan received the "epic congrats" from Weightman. It seemed Sifan just really appreciated it & now has a new best friend lol. That's the vibe I get anyway.

pretty cool.

Monoco Diamond League was epic.

biggest news of the night, Sifan Hassan breaks the women's mile WR (4:12.x). She got a horrible start too.. had to really work to catch the pace maker.

Jakob tried to battle Cheruiyot up front in an incredible race. Cheruiyot breaks 3:30 again.

Nijel Amos going under 1:42 for 800m again.

Noah losing to Gatlin in the 100m by a hundredth.

Men's 400m was a debacle.. really sucks. Someone false started, but two guys kept running and finished the 400m, only to find out that the race had stopped nearly a minute ago. Both of those guys couldn't (obviously) compete when they started the race again. To top it off, the guy who false started didn't even get disqualified, and was able to race.. wtf?

Yea absolutely no clue how this will work. Two guys who demand the ball and one who doesn't even bother to cross half court when he isn't in the play.  But OKC pulled a fuckin HEIST with those picks. Good Lord.

ya. they both demand the ball so much. but maybe that's good.. because the previous Houston team had a big problem trying to get the ball out of Harden's hands.

Harden just dribbling the shot clock down, then taking crazy shots. Maybe he needs someone like RWB to demand more positions, and make it look like "normal" basketball.

so it could actually work .. but their personalities could also end up clashing & it could turn into a train wreck if they realize they won't be a real contender.

curious to see what happens.

and ya, damn @ OKC. big moves for a big rebuild.

more rest.

longest leg drain ever. 1.5 hours. legs felt fine after. did some mfr/stretching while also doing the leg drain. got annoyed when i went to do it, and didn't feel any progress. so after that, i also did some crazy stretching.

i feel like running but, i'm also trying to be responsible. but, even after 4 days rest, nothing seems to improve etc. so do i run or just keep resting, the dilemma. i'm leaning towards resting. just keep resting until it's completely gone. but that may not come for a very long time. could have jacked something up in there pretty bad, makes no sense.

maybe i should get a boxing gym membership and hit the bag, some cross training.

and maybe i need to just do some long walks occasionally.

not running is annoying because, running doesn't really make it worse.... heh. but in my mind, i feel like it's not allowing it to heal fully.

bleh bleh bleh.

damn almost a chin + 40kg, sick. that climber strenf building.

Highgate 10k was fun last night, seeing Steph Twell pull it out late against Salpeter was extremely hype.

so you went to it?

sick!

almost under 31 min. 31:08 is a no-joke time. Especially when you consider McColgan (mostly a 5k runner tho) was over a minute slower.

flying.

(full results:
https://results.opentrack.run/x/2019/GBR/not/)

men's C is still under 30 min. ridiculous.

that's such a sick event.

forgot to reply to this, sorry!

yeah it's a cool event, i wasn't feeling 100% that eve so didn't make the most of it, but it's amazing seeing people so fast like right up close. The crowd was also extremely hyped for McColgan. The track had a green light running around the inside lane to indicate the Olympic A standard, so she was getting cheered on to beat that standard, which she destroyed over the last couple of laps.

yea that light is awesome & so are the pyrotechnics.

man what a sick event.

hopefully more events pop up like that. big respect to them for showing every1 how it's done.

The Oklahoma City Thunder have agreed to trade Russell Westbrook to the Houston Rockets for Chris Paul, first-round picks in 2024 and 2026, pick swaps in 2021 and 2025, league sources tell ESPN.

Adarq...bruh....ya just got Russ.

crazy.. MIA just pulled some serious stuff out of nowhere this off season.

I've been following the rumors for a while now, but can't find details of the trade?!?!

Westbrook is a beast but, not exactly sure of what to think yet - tho I guess Westbrook might be even more of a threat in the East. Westbrook is an absolute monster, this is definitely exciting. It'll be fun watching him in MIA, going to be highlight szn down here.

The East is pretty open right now.. MIA didn't prepare for it too well but SOMEHOW pulled some serious magic to make these two trades happen.

Westbrook, Butler, joining Bam/Dragic/Winslow/Olynyk etc.. I think we still have Waiters, James Johnson, Jones Jr as well? Now Meyers Leonard & Herro seems solid?? If so, very solid squad right there.

MIA going to be showtime for 2019-2020. :ninja: :ninja: :ninja:

 :ibjumping:

waiters > westbrook imo right now

uhhhhhhhh.. no.

Quote
but seriously westbrook has 0 finesse on his shots, has probably one of the worst square up and follow thru's today....

ya but he doesn't need finesse on his shots. he can get to the bucket, rebound, assist, etc. if he had more finesse on his shot, nice. but he's still averaging triple doubles for entire seasons.

when it comes to winning championships, i'm not high on westbrook (he's kind of "melo-ish" to me). but he's one of the best in the game right now.

Quote
wow very solid squad indeed miami has...

yup

Progress Journals & Experimental Routines / Re: THE DREAM JOURNAL
« on: July 11, 2019, 01:27:14 am »
had one of these dreams a few nights ago.

i've wanted to dream blog this before, but never have. this is probably the 5th time it happened.

i'll just explain it briefly: occasionally i have a very vivid dream where i'm either "searching for my mom" or "randomly see my mom".

for example, several months ago I had a dream where I was walking in a city.. and I saw my mom & dad walking together - holding hands etc, when they were younger. they didn't notice me or anything, i just looked at them walking, then they walked off. it was actually very intense. it's the one i remember most.

a few nights ago, i had a dream where i was searching for my mom. i went to some random mall, and found her working behind a counter, selling something (like perfume etc). in this dream, she noticed me and welcomed me over etc, as if she was expecting me.

also had one where i randomly saw her somewhere, making me think she's still here but "in hiding", ie trying to start a different life somewhere.

those dreams make me feel unusual after i wakeup. can't really explain that part of it. just feel different. it's odd.

first dream blog post since 2017.. 8|
