hey guys, i got a blood test recently, most of the values are probably pretty normal, but i have  a decent amount not in the normal range.  I figured it would be pretty cool if i posted them up and we analysed them, that is if anybody knows how to read them and understand everything.  So, anybody know how??????

if so i'll post up the results

That is a very interesting topic , great work again Andrew!
Ive been in this dilemma many times...
I feel much better and stable on the half squat , and i can add weights linearly there.
In deep squats i seem to struggle in the hole , and i cant add weight linearly, it takes about 3 sessions with the same weight until i feel i can really add.
But everyone insisted deep is better so i kept trying to improve deep.
Many times i ended up doing naturally what you mentioned above... going very deep in warmups and gradually decreasing depth as the bar got heavier.

Ya that's why eventually I started half-squatting after seeing eddie's gains, but making sure I hit the walking lunges/stepups very hard. I had to stop doing stepups because my glutes were getting too big, it would aggravate an issue I have in my sacral spine.
wow, i hope we can all have that problem with the glutes

how do you feel about low vs. high step ups, like which do you like to use, and when, and why.  i feel like the higher the box the more likely it will become more hip flexor/quad movement

Now what about leg leverages? i have no damn clue how to evaluate those, but im sure you do:
Are there any formulas , or ratio ranges or anything?
My height barefoot is ~72''
Height from toes to middle of knee = ~21,5'' ( 55% of leg height , 29% of total height ).
Height from middle of knee to hip joint = ~18'' ( 45% of leg height , 25% of total height ).
Obviously leg height = ~39,5'' ( 54% of total height. )

Hoping this ( actually not this , your reply to this, LOL ) might help other people too evaluating their leverages.

I actually had data on a few athletes, but I can't find it. I also can't find some high jumper study comparing femur length to tibia length. I am full of fail currently.

I will post my measurements tomorrow.

peace man

so his hips shouldn't be coming up higher when he brings them forward and up, about how high should they be going when trying to get to and maintain max speed, 90 degrees?

sry to ask again, i know i asked a few times about the shoes already,  just still not sure about this what are track flats exactly?  Are all track shoes called track flats.  I found track shoes that are called ...waffles, but don't see any shoes that are called flats, so trying to figure out what exactly they go under.  thanks man

what exactly are your goals now, trying to increase single leg jump as well as get conditioned like you used to be?

I signed up just to tell you this is one of the most weak as fuck posts I've ever seen on a forum.

Secondly, you're 15 with weak stats, you have plenty of time to jump 40+ if you train right.

Does a pitbull whine like a bitch about not being a greyhound? No, it's a fucking pitbull.

here's a vid of a female high school volleyball player.  I don't know why they have her squatting so wide, she looks crazy unstable like that i would have her going substantially less wide and making sure she pushed those knees out

it looked to me like when he brought his hips forward, they should be coming up a little higher than they are, like his hip flexors are a little tight, i would think the steps would be a little longer

after watching it again though not sure

good luck man,

yo for the internship you would expect that at the places they would want to help me reach my goals as well and help me with my training right?

check otu this vid also, what the hell is going on with his knee, check out the comment sand his reply to mine, doesn't make any sense, that had nothing to do with the balance that's how his knees are (probably weak stabilizers i guess)

what you think adarqui?

Basketball / Re: Kobe getting punked

yo kobe mentally beat barnes' ass that game

like if they were just playing a mental game kobe would have dominated him

barnes' anger and shit seemed real superficial and like he was trying to be cocky and stand up to kobe to look tough, etc

however, after watching  that game, i see more and more now how kobe is pretty much withering down.  His athletic ability is dropping fast, his age has really caught up with him, now it's just about him going to the post ups/fadeaways/experience to score/get things done

i don't remember jordan looking like that when he was kobe's age, only when he came back after retiring and started playing on the wizards.  Kobe's play now/athletic ability, etc kind of reminds me of jordan's when he went to the wizards

kobe's all banged up now too, i think the smartest thing they could possibly do is just give him like a few weeks or even a month's rest till he's healthy at or near 100%

confused about the dorsi flexing when doing reactive movements, so basically you dorsiflex till the last moment and then plantar flex hard?

i forgot about this vid, this is just insane, i get like 2 inches on my pogo jumps.  is that just crazy ankle stiffness and some long ass achilles tendons?

are you supposed to dorsiflex feet when doing the pogo jumps?

how high do you think he's getting on those?
