light walk.

injury areas felt great all day. legs barely sore from the crazy stretching. nuts.

not going to do anything tomorrow. probably walk again monday.

07/13/2019:
- morning bw: 154

dinner:
- sauteed broccoli + jalapeno in olive oil/ginger oil, basmati rice, avocado, salt

02:00 PM: standing up, waiting for my car to get detailed for 3 hours
- uhh..
- so, i figured it would take 30-45 minutes.. and it just kept going, and going, and going.. so, instead of just asking for my keys and getting out of there, i decided to just stick it out no matter how long it took (an exercise in patience). it literally took them 3 hours to wash the car, clean the outside/inside, and clean the headlights. there was a massive queue, so many people just dying to get out of there.. other people waiting as long or longer than me etc. was incredible.
- oh and i just told myself, next time i'll clean it myself.. eeh!

06:15 PM: light walk: 2h30min w/ hills ::: (grass, overheat) /// HR under 100 for the walk, beast.

- fasted (soo.. like 20 hour fast)

96 BPM avg for a 2.5 hour walk in the heat, and with hills.. lol. nuts.

Today step workout
Will do the steps shown in the video. Walk rest on the flat parts and fast as possible on the steps.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bMyk8KvO9o4

3 rounds.

damn those are some nice steps.

should be able to get some good workouts in there.

:wowthatwasnutswtf:

looking back.. related? lol :ninja:

be careful with those steps obviously, but looks fun/mostly safe.

Date: 4/07/2019
Soreness: bruise on knee as I slipped down a few flight of stairs.

Different steps. Steps in the house are concrete to the roof so I was going down it and the first step was steeper than others. So slipped and hurt my knees. Only 3 steps.

ah damn, sucks.

Completed stair workout. Legs felt like jelly. Nose blockage as usual. Rested 5-10 mins between runs and wall back down.

nice @ jelly legs! those can be some good workouts for overall fitness & power.

legs feel great. injured areas feel great. long hold stretch magic.

time for a hard run! jk. that was my mistake last time.. felt great for 3-4 days then did a damn mile race.

need to get in a month of pain free work before even considering racing again. tbh i don't even give a sh*t about racing atm.. this injury helped get it out of my blood stream a bit. i care about going on long slow 2-3 hours runs etc, with no pain during/after etc. just enjoying running itself. that's what i want/love.

might go on a nice slow long walk in the heat in a sec.

man. legs/injury areas feel great right now. it's crazy considering i tried to rip my leg off throughout the day. :o

no hard/fast running/racing until this is 100% healed.

did some crazy stretching. def a learning experience going on.

some epic long holds.. literally ~30 min or so, standing right hamstring/glute stretch: propping my leg up on a high padded stool, shifting it around a bit but maintaining the stretch, while doing work on my laptop. crazy. felt so many odd sensations deep in my sacral spine. they also persisted for a while afterwards. legs feel great right now. the fact that i can do a hold like that for so long (and 1.5 hour leg drain etc), means i've made some serious flexibility progress.

but ya did lots of long holds throughout the day, mostly right hamstring/glute/sacral spine related. also did my some long holds (def ~15 min or so a few times) with legs out to the sides touching the floor, shifting that around a bit etc. that feels great because it targets adductors as well, probably the tightest muscle group on my body (that I know of).

the sensations in my sacral spine from some of these long holds makes me "feel" like something in is teetering on loosening up, and causing a pain relief chain reaction for all of the other spots. i could be completely wrong, but that's what it felt like when i released it for those few days, like 3-4 weeks ago.

i'm becoming jeac cousteau with this stretch stuff.

her celebration was awesome.

a competitor congratulated her well after the race, then told her to go take a lap, and Sifan asked her to run the lap with her. lool.

ahhh.. she even posted a photo with her after the race:

I ❤️ the feeling of after my race WR 4️⃣:1️⃣2️⃣.3️⃣3️⃣🙀.... congratulation to @lauraweightman1 you’re awesome 👏🏾.

I don't really think that was going to happen, until Sifan received the "epic congrats" from Weightman. It seemed Sifan just really appreciated it & now has a new best friend lol. That's the vibe I get anyway.

pretty cool.

Monoco Diamond League was epic.

biggest news of the night, Sifan Hassan breaks the women's mile WR (4:12.x). She got a horrible start too.. had to really work to catch the pace maker.

Jakob tried to battle Cheruiyot up front in an incredible race. Cheruiyot breaks 3:30 again.

Nijel Amos going under 1:42 for 800m again.

Noah losing to Gatlin in the 100m by a hundredth.

Men's 400m was a debacle.. really sucks. Someone false started, but two guys kept running and finished the 400m, only to find out that the race had stopped nearly a minute ago. Both of those guys couldn't (obviously) compete when they started the race again. To top it off, the guy who false started didn't even get disqualified, and was able to race.. wtf?
