« on: September 15, 2010, 04:39:04 am »
I think I got 0.04 or 0.03 at some point when I was in high school and I used to play all day long with this... me and a colleague did this endlessly. It depends a lot on the watch, I probably couldn't do that with that watch you have in the movie... I had a normal hand watch that I did it with.

cool! it's addicting as hell isn't it? competitive people find ways to battle even the most minimal of foes, such as stop watches.. bwahaha. i love SWDC.

there's a baseball game people play with it (baseball players).. you click it, and try to stop it at 1.00 seconds..
- 1.00 = home run
- .99 = triple
- .98 = double
- .97 = single
- .96 or lower, 1.01 or great = out

so you do your clicks until you get 3 outs, then give it to your friend/opponent, and play baseball that way... shit is fun when you got nothing to do, it's a dugout game.

peace

It's crazy because I was thinking yesterday, when I saw you write LEVEL 7, about crazy stuff like this:

Have two walls: one wall behind the athlete and one wall 100m of the athlete ahead. Also walls to the side, so the athlete is running in a cubicle. Now the walls in front and back can raise and lower to block the athlete. Have one hungry/angry bear released 100m behind him. Both walls hit the ground and block whoever is in between them as soon as either the bear or the athlete cross their respective finish lines (for the bear it's the athletes starting line, for the athlete it's a line 100m ahead of that).

So basically, if the athlete finishes first he'll be OK because he'll have two walls in between him and the bear. If the bear finishes first, then the athlete will be trapped in between the two walls with the bear inside that space as well. :D

I was thinking about this because my sister said to me when we were in the mountains that she thought once you see a bear you should run... so I saw LEVEL 7, I thought about all this ^^^ and now I dreamed what I wrote above.

Crazy shit and correlations happening in the brain. Maybe that stupid center (basketball player) was the bear? Whatever.

ya man stuff like that happens to me all the time too, brain twists things around then i somehow dream about variations of that..

definitely putting that in level-7 thread, that's good stuff :)

I just had a dream tonight that me and Nightfly were preparing for a sprinting competition. We were in the front of my building covered while it was raining and we were waiting for some other athletes to run (through the rain) to the competition so we can follow them there.

They went in but it was kind of strange because even though the guys went by us we were like "OK, these guys won't show up (WTF) so we might as well go by ourselves there".

So we went to the competition in rain having those athletic thighs on us, and into a building of some kind where there were doors and walls in between each sprinting lane. There were doors at the starting line so you could see the guys on the other lanes but walls from there on forward so you couldn't see the other people, like you were sprinting alone (we might have something here?).

And as we came in we saw one of the centers for one Romanian basketball team in the 1st Division that we always make fun of at games... he was there preparing for his sprint. But he wasn't in what you'd call a regular sprinting stance... he was on the side so to speak... with his left leg on the start line and his right to the ... right of the left leg ;)

I didn't have a chance to see what happens because my phone rang to wake me up to go to work...

hah sucks.. can you dream resume? too bad you had to goto work or you could possibly have dream resumed it.. when i don't have anything to do i can usually resume dreams that i'm having, when i'm woken up like that and want to know more of the dream.. it's cool shit.

Introduce Yourself / Re: for 45" running vert
« on: September 15, 2010, 03:06:48 am »

blend a bunch of bananas and inject that shit into it, bananas rule.

I have seen you like bananas the night before pecking vert as well, I worry about sugar/carb intake so I have yet to decide if bananas are for me lol.

here's why i like them... say i weigh 160 before sleep, i'll eat say 6 bananas, now i weight like 162 or 163 or something.. well, the next day i'll wakeup around 159 probably, then take about 6-7 ridiculous dumps and end up being like 156.. SORRY FOR THE GROSSNESS, but bananas empty you out and make you feel light as hell.. plus all the potassium/glycogen replenishment :d

I honestly think there's something interesting with taking a bunch of craps before vert/speed, because man, when i do, i always jump great/sprint my fastest.. hah

bananas the night before, caffeine day of, = win..

if i feel good tomorrow i might even drink two monster energy's.. man i'd be so wired, one gives me the shakes.. with two i'd be like that crack addict on chapelle show.

hahah
LMAO I see where your comming, oh wait I picture everything I'm reading, I don't want to see that!!! LOL!

hahahah! yez@!%@#

I dreamed once that I could jump ~80 inches off two feet and was doing dunks like in NBA Jam etc, and thinking "hey it's not that hard". I was with my belly at the rim at pretty much every dunk attempt, and it felt easy.

fun dream, i've had plenty of dreams where i can't dunk.. how shitty is that.

Every now and then i dream that im jumping to dunk , im getting up high enough but i can't dunk : im not jumping ridiculous , just enough to dunk easy , like getting wrist 4-5'' above rim. And while im happy that i got there and try to throw it down its like the ball is glued in my hand , the motion slows down terribly and i get stuck , like hanging on the rim but with the ball in my hand. Its like those dreams that you want to run but your feet are glued , you want to hit someone but you cant power your hands etc , its a typical dream thing...

lol that sucks.. ya i've had similar.. i bet t-dub/TFB guys dream about the most amazing dunk sessions, nothing ever goes wrong, life is perfect, dunking bowling balls on 12' rims off drop step.. hah

Bios / Re: herschel walker is a freak of nature - 47 years old
« on: September 15, 2010, 02:45:26 am »
from his wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Herschel_Walker

=============================
Training
=============================

Walker is also intriguing for being one of the few pro football players to become successful without the use of free weight training. Rather than a heavy weight room regimen, Walker used bodyweight exercise, calisthenics, and conditioning, as well as martial arts training. He remains to this day an oddity in the pro football world. He has been said to do thousands of pushups and situps daily, rather than lift weights[citation needed] For the past twenty years, he claims to sleep four hours a night and only eat one meal a day during the evening, which normally consists of a salad, soup and bread.[citation needed]

=============================

weird!  he must be able to suck chi/energy from mother eartlh heheh.  how the heck does he grow/keep all the muscle?!?!

apparently, and self admittedly, he's schizophrenic.. so i imagine he can't even recall when he's eaten/worked out at times.. i imagine he loses count on stuff he's doing and then exaggerates how many sets/reps he does, and we all know he eats more than a salad/soup/bread each day.. he's a little odd that's for sure, but i don't question his work ethic, he's a beast.

edit: i'm losing respect for him as a "fighter", which he obviously isn't.. i mean, you come into mma against a hand picked opponent, fight one bout, and say you've accomplished something? what? I would have loved to see him improve and fight stronger competition... unfortunately I doubt that'll happen, "mission accomplished".

bw = 157
soreness = calfs a little
aches/injuries = origin of calf tendon, hamstring insertions, right lower back, left knee a little

calfs felt so strong tonight.. even though I have that achyness in the tendons from all those tuck jumps yesterday, they should give me some nasty power tomorrow, i had alot of bounce on my very light jogs in between my walking.. hopefully the tendon aches aren't there tomorrow though.

workout:
- 7 mile walk, very light and short jogs mixed in to loosen up the legs

i won't be able to jump tomorrow night unfortunately, so i'll have to do it in the daytime.. wanted to jump at night, whatever though.. i actually think i should be flying.. considering all the reactive work i did yesterday and the heavy singles, tomorrow should be good.. my power was good yesterday too, should be even better caff'd up/much lighter/100% focused... we'll see though, i could wake up pretty achy, hope not.. walking will hopefully & my soon to be light stretch will hopefully fix that.

tmw will be: session 1 = dunks, session 2 = some interval runs/walk + high volume squat singles @ 225

peace

- squat : 3 x 5
- lunge : 3 x 5 each
- light calf raise: 4 x 5
- core
- stretch

session 2 : power
- warmup

session 3 : power

so, we could go:

monday = session 1
tues = active rest
wed = active rest
thurs = session 2
fri = active rest
sat = session 3
sun = active rest
mon = active rest OR session 4       active rest or session 4 + session 1

that's just the draft i had without rest periods and some percentages etc.. what you think on that..

it could also be:
monday = session 1
tues = active rest
wed = active rest
thurs = session 2
fri = active rest
sat = active rest
sun = session 3
monday = active rest
tues = active rest OR active rest or session 4 + session 1

is that a jump mat thing below him? if so, what kind of idiot jumps with his legs out like that?

EDIT: I got it, he was happy about making weight, i just now say that it was some sort of fight....jeez that must have been close
