Still felt like shit this morning/early afternoon but managed to get up and make myself some breakfast. Started feeling better so went to the gym. Workout was a bit of a wash but it's okay, I'm still glad I went. Didn't finish all my stuff so I'll throw some extra on after the next workout (SP).

warm up
shoot hoops x a while -- not bad but not as good as the other day
core stretches
glute bridges

work
DLRVJ x15-20 -- pretty consistently around 29.5-30, nothing bad just nothing great
two-step VJ x7-8 thrown in -- got 30 on a couple of these, maybe should switch to two-step for a while before trying full run ups again

squat 3x5x255
DL 5x315 -- back to three plates, baby!
bench 5x185, 2x175 -- fail, this just felt wrong for some reason
DB row 8x60/ea, 2x10x60/ea

cool down
shoot some more hoops
stretch

on the DLRVJ's, just hit 2-step lead in, and 3-step lead in.. that two step was good considering you're sick/missing training lately because of it, add one more step after you hit some 2-step leads, see how that goes.. ya avoid full run up for a while, see what you can do with 2&3-step-lead DLRVJ.

Happened in game, came down from a layup thought id just sprained it badly looked down and my toes were pointing towards my left shoulder (right foot) paramedics ambulance etc came said it was almost through the skin. Had oxygen, morphine and then got put out so they could put it back into place which they did and then shoved it in a plaster cast.

Somehow no fractures although probably some quite extensive ligament damage. Have been told im going to be stuck in a cast for 4-5 weeks and then gradual mobilisation through pt.

that is horrible & I really hope you heal up completely from it :/

Quote
Just wondered if anybody knew of anything I can do to speed the healing/prevent long term problems as much as possible or

not much you can really do except eat good/clean, follow their recommendations (elevation/immobility etc), and rest + good sleep every night..

Quote
failing that entertain myself over the next few months with no ball!

irc keeps me entertained, so does watching movies & video editing.. when i tore my calf i was unable to walk for a few months, so i watched nba league pass, irc'd, coded (computer programming), and relaxed, it worked good.

peace man

10/13/2010 - DIDNT DO SHIT!

bw = 152
soreness = none
aches/injuries = left ankle, lower back
fatigue = medium

ok uh.. i spent ALL DAY (5pm - 5am) pretty much, editing this dunk video.. it should be epic, i did some very cool shit in it.. im rendering right now, will upload before i sleep.

got my weighted vest, no weight plates will fit in it etc, so i have to find my old ankle weight 'iron bars' (small weights), i should have a ton of those.

surprisingly i am 152 before sleeping, i think i burned like 2000 kcal just editing this video, brain power cardio.

peace

Brain power cardio ftw!! I eat so much when Im at school.

- Hackers (not that epic, but for some reason I never get tired of it)
- In the hands of god (a movie about big wave surfers)
- Ong bak
- Tom yum goong

hackers was great, even though the actual hacking scenes were so pathetic, the movie itself is boss.. love that movie.

Thanks mang. And yeah, the braces are no fun. (especially getting them at my age) The first hour or two after I got them didn't feel too bad, but it started getting worse. My older brother gave me some words of comfort in a text message during lunch.

I quote.... "It's going to hurt like hell for a few days"

I figure I might as well let the pain in my mouth fuel my rage while I lift. (maybe it helps, I don't know)

Anyway. A.P. Day 9:

Rest day

Hamstrings are feeling sore from GHR yesterday, but it's not the painful soreness I was feeling last week. The soreness is kind of numbing and I can tell they're recovering and getting stronger, so it feels pretty good. During school I was running late, so I ran to a couple classes. I was surprised by how bouncy I felt even with my backpack on. Muscles are feeling like springs lately.

Hopefully tomorrow I can get onto the track and do a 110m hurdles endurance workout.

awesome:

that's a good sign man.. gotta keep this going.. all of my biggest pr's came when i feel very bouncy during everyday activities.. it's just so much more reflexive power/strength in every movement.

Bball practice.
Exhausting!
Got some good jumps in , all in extremely fatigued state , dropstep ~30'' , 2 and 3 steps mostly 32'' to 32,5''.
In a 2-step jump i got both hands 3d knuckle at rim.
In another 2-step jump touched  32'' on my way down , definately 33'' at peak , season best!

niiiiiice!$!@$

After seeing that everybody wanted me to dunk , tried 2 times but lost ball palming on my way up , FAIL! :D

ya but that's still a good sign when people want to see you dunk ;0
