Boxing / Re: 01/23/2016: Garcia vs Guerrero
« on: January 24, 2016, 06:42:19 pm »
It was a good fight overall, loved the brawl towards the end, but at the beginning I loved guerrero's pace and how he was controlling garcia, he would use the uppercut as garcia would duck a lot but then garcia holded and moved a lot which i didn't like, not because I don't like garcia, but because it's not entertaining, garcia didn't want to rumble guerrero until towards the end they engaged, but garcia kept through loopy power shots or power hooks which didn't feel timed, but guerrero put up a good fight, but he had that issue of missing alot of his punches when he jumps into it.

enjoyed the fight, khan is mandatory to face them but angel has other plans.

shawn porter vs keith thurman on 12th march. I would like to see shawn porter against danny garcia.

Strength, Power, Reactivity, & Speed Discussion / Re: weight vests
« on: January 21, 2016, 06:58:34 pm »
I don't know if you remembered the time I used a weighted vest. I used a homemade weighted vest.

I had sheets of leather, I cut out a template for a vest, double layer, sewed the major areas, cut holes in first layer in different areas to fill with sand and sew it back and I used to do sprints in them.

good times.

Just started my driving lessons. It's not that hard, it's just getting used to the controls and multi tasking until it becomes natural.

Boxing / Re: Wilder vs Szpilka insane KO
« on: January 17, 2016, 04:26:27 pm »
oohh my that was insane it came out of nowhere.

At first it was a slow start, being cautious szpilka and deontay would feint each other but then gradually they started getting comfortable szpilka made it awkard for deontay and harder to come close he was able to get in throw some punches and get out making it hard for deontay with the longer reach to do much, so deontay had come close, then suddenly out of nowhere deontay throws as szpilka's head comes down to throw a punch and right on the chin, it looked worse when he felll straght to sleep then the punch it self. the momentum he had throwing the punch also made it worse like the canelo vs kirkland fight.

wow I was thinking this going to go for a long time, close rounds, until BANG. good night szpilka.

I also saw his short it's szpila lol
But deontay was not the same as I saw him against the other previous opponents aggressive moving forward.

Looking at the slow mo you can see he tries to weave under deontay's punches but deontay's hand rubs the top of szpilka's head and it stayed there (szpilka's head stayed in contact with deontay's hand from where he decided to start swinging), maybe if he hand weaved a little lower deontay would not have seen the opportunity, which is like giving deontay the head to hold to and then from there you see the opening to knock him out if you understand what i mean.

I also enjoyed the david haye fight, he was good in that fight also. good knockout ending.

Update on the case
Today was the sentencing, the three people got their prison time handed to them and my dad got 9 years, which in the UK is half inside and other half outside on license. so he will be in there for about 4 years.

The actually guilty person got the same amount and the third guy, my brother in law, has to do 200hrs community serivice outside.

Don't know how I feel about this. Just got to get through it.

pc

damn that is rough.. :/

4 years inside is a long time, but 9 years inside would feel like an eternity.

thanks  :highfive:
It is long. This was the minimum length for the crime. As the judge knew my dad was innocent but it was in the hands of the jury.
just got to get through it.

maxent jinxed me, wtf.

i've never had abdominal pain after eating bananas, or tons of bananas.. today however, pain in my upper abdomen, which could be related to bananas.. i mean it seems like my actual abdominals, but it's a very weird/somewhat sharp pain.

I am hearing a lot about him recently and I am wondering, what has made his so famous so quickly that he is even targetting may vs pac ppv / gate revenue records.

what did the coach say?

Based on the results, the coach said that it was probably just a bad day; because I remember when I was doing 60m sprints I wanted to get my 30m split time and I had got 4.04s against a slight head wind and my PB on 60m was 7.94s.

He will get back to me on what I should do next.

Today was the testing stage of the workout as I have finished the sled workout.

Date: 06/01/2016
Soreness: none
Weight: didn't measure

Condition: cold, little windy sometimes no wind but only for a few seconds. The track was wet.

Warm up
1 Lap jog of the track

  Walking lunges
  High knee karaokes
  Skipping with swing arm circles
  Lateral hip mobility leg swings
  Seated cross legged iliopsoas stretch

  A walk x 20m x 2, A skip x 2 x 20m, A run x 20m x 2

  Acceleration runs x 2 upto 10m

Workout/ Test
  30m sprints x 2
     1. 4.31
     2. 4.31

  60m Sprints x 2
     1. 8.31
     2. 8.25

Was dissapointed with the results and am thinking maybe I didn't rest long enough, as I rested for 3 days. So decided to do some more sprints.

   60m sprints x 1
30m sprints x 5 (the first few was standing start same as test and the other was a 3 point stance)

Some guy saw me run and said I was being tight in my sprint and was still leaning a little past 20m, which I do as I feel I can still accelerate past 20m, but it helped in sticking my chest out sort of when I am upright to run tall.

My best time for the 30m at standing start was 4.28 and I also saw my 20m time was 3.27, which was by accident when I tried to measure my 30m split time when running 60m but stopped at 20m as there were lines at 80m, 75m, 70m then the next line was at 60m.

Cool down
Walk back
