havent had time the past few days to write down wat i did...

got a bench PR, DJ PR.

normally i get like 1 joint of my fingers on the ceiling, managed to get like 2 joints for 5-6 times total.

gonna go test vert later if possible, hoping for a PR in that too haha...

whoa, nice, been wondering where you have been.. sounds like you are ready to hit some nice PR jumps, hope so.

tons of studies have correlated leg strength improvement via squatting to vert gains etc.. their are old russian sports stats and stuff like that, which give details about percentiles on various performance markers, by age etc.. can't find them though. There hasn't really been any worldwide studies on it though, from what I've seen. All you can go on really is small sample sizes, use those averages/stats.

I'm interested in the average relative strength numbers of elite level highjumpers in the squat exercise. Also, do these high jumpers ever reach relative strength levels that don't allow for further transfer to the high jump?

Is there a general guideline derived from practice on how much relative strength is enough for athletes interested in maximizing vertical jump height? I'm not only asking about jump height off a single leg like in the highjump, but also about vertical jump height  from a standing start or from a run with both feet.

I don't do dunks off lobs much becuz I'm just not good at throwing them. I know for most dunkers its easier to make dunks off a lob but not for me...idk it's weird.

ya lobs can be tough, I feel that having an extremely pumped up bball really helps, especially on indoor courts where the bball's hit the wood & die. Once you have the timing down it's pretty easy, and for myself at least, it definitely helps me get up a little higher.

I'm sure if I mastered it it would open a lot of doors

ya it would, you're landing some nice stuff off dribble, but you get up way higher with full arm swing.

dno man haha... i mean, i'd imagine the pad is a little lower, and the actual bottom of the backboard would be 9' i'm guessing....

not sure though man.. im gonna do some head height jumps on this other ~9' sign i jumped on last session, at that shopping center, will vid tape friday probably.. should be fun.. gonna try and knock it off the chains.

ya i agree, hahaha.. people tonight must have thought I was insane, just jumping and hitting head on backboard pad WHILE they were playing half court.... i time it well though, I don't get in the way.

The jumps are looking pretty damn high btw. No lob to chase either so that's pretty promising. Good stuff.

thanks man.. ya some of them do look pretty high, not sure exactly how high, but I know I could have gotten higher had I been in my rhythm without little 5 year old's smacking my tripod/camera...
