Wednesday = Anniversary with GF = no workout Yesterday = Thanksgiving = no workout Today, went a did this sick ropes course with my family, supposedly the biggest and most badass in the US, only one of its kind here. It was really fun. Then I went to the gym and tied (maybe beat) an absolute PR in DLRVJ and did it 3 or 4 times, to boot. CNS was blazing. My phone display was broken earlier today but I got home, plugged it in just now and it started working again, I started shouting in celebration, heard a door slam elsewhere in the apartment, walked into the living room, saw a pair of wine glasses and heard some soft music on and saw my roommate's door closed and laughed at myself for crushing the mood.
warm up shoot around -- inconsistent as hell various stretches
work sprint x4x15y 1-step x4 -- terrible, 29.5 at best sprint x1x15y 1-step x4 -- better, 29.5-30 sprint x1x15y full run-up x4 -- meh sprint x1x15y full run-up x4 -- YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES 31.5 YES YES YES YES YES YES
From then on just a bunch more full run-ups, maybe 10 or 12, hitting 31.5 at least twice more and 30.5 several other times. Was super inconsistent, though, CNS was so fired up that at least 4 of the jumps were a complete waste as I got way out of control on the run up and just blew the plant. Got 30 on a couple of those and barely went vertical at all on a couple of others (lol). The whole time I was shaking my head and saying, "It's short, it's so fucking short," to myself over and over.
MR half tucks 3x15 pogos 4x5 -- felt better than any other pogos I've done
I'm starving now. Time for food.
sick man! that's great news about the jumps & pogos.. hopefully some new pr's coming..
that ropes course sounds really fun too.. u got an url ?
a few jumps, first one is before a game of 21, second pic is after.. i got footage of a game of 21, should be fun footage.. i need to start doing that more often, was fun just burning people again.. i was ridiculously fast on the court.. if i could find a way to anchor my cam to my tripod and then to the ground, i'd record full court games lol.
no, i havent gotten it checked out because at first i thought i just needed some rest. i think i know what the problem is, so i can work on it. do i just have to start a progress journal and post all the information to get help on program design?
ya man thats the best way to do it.

@zetz: what helped me the most was eating, heavy lifting, eating and then some eating! Im a protein type, so i gained best with lots of protein and fat and just some carbs after my workouts. if theres one important thing i could tell you its: dont stuff yourself all the time! you should try to have high insulin sensitivity, so the nutrients you take in are used for building muscle. there was a time when i ate 5000kcal every day without gaining any weight. during the 3 weeks of smolov jr i ate about 3000-4000kcal and gained about 5lb. for tricking you can check out http://www.tricksession.com/forums/
I'm Damien, 22 years old, from Germany and i'm a Trickster. I am 6'2 and currently i weigh 187lb. Before i started weightlifting and eating big i was about 140lb at 6`2... I've been tricking for 6 years now and the first years i had a really hard time to land most tricks because i was just too weak. I started lifting about 2-3 years ago. First 1-2 years were almost wasted with bodybuilding routines and bad nutritional habits. When i first started lifting i squatted and benched with 70lb and deadlifted 100lb. My standing vertical was always very low. Now my standing vertical is about 27inches, my 1RM deadlift is 405lb, bench 210lb and my squat was 300lb before i started Smolov Jr, which i completed last week. On my last Smolov Jr workout i squatted 95% of my previous 1RM for 10 sets of 3 reps. I'll test my new max in 2 days...
awesome let us know how it goes, great progress.. that tricking vid you linked is real nice, you are hitting some nice tricks & it looks really sick with how tall you are and how much height you get.

Since i started lifting i became very interested in everything about exercise science, functional anatomy and everything else related with performance. Next year i want to study Sports & Performance at the university of Cologne, Germany (in case someone knows it - its supposed to be one of europes leading sport-universities).
I've been dealing with lower leg pain on my left leg for about 6 months now. I think it first started as shin splints, but now its more of an ankle/wrong posture or alignment problem...
My biggest weakness is my lack of reactivity, my RFD and for bodyparts its my hamstring-strength and thoracic spine mobility.
Damn, that's a long text with the intention to just say hi!
