Hey guys I'm wondering how the ratio is between front and back squat. Lately I've only been doing front squats and my current 1RM is 140kg (around 315lbs) which is a bit over 1.5xBW for me but as I'm not doing any back squats at the moment and also not intend to do so in the near future I'd like to now what my back squat numbers are at... Can anyone give me an estimation about that?

Thanks! :)

I hit under my chin the equivalent of a nice upper punch

Almost knocked myself out with a barbell today. It was the first time ever I did pushpresses and I wasn't able to get my head out of the way fast enough.   :personal-record::uhhhfacepalm:
That shit hurt quite a bit and I still feel it today. :uhhhfacepalm:

my left leg might be slightly longer, my left foot is DEFINITELY bigger, but doubt that's it. i've had all kinds of injuries in the past from playing basketball and such. I also have some issues in my sacral spine (genetic) that have bugged me off and on since I was a teenager. In the end though, I think it's just all of the years of sports, injuries, compensation, and lack of mobility/flexibility training.

It's the same story with me, just that it is my left side. Left hip, SI joint and shoulder are often pretty stiff eventhough I do SMFR/mobility daily. My explanation is that I had two very severe ankle sprains a few years back from playing volleyball... one time I even tore two ligaments in my ankle. Since then my ankle has never really felt the same and eventhough I don't experience any pain it just feels odd. It's hard for me to get adequate ROM so I probably wouldn't be able to do front squats with good form without my romaleos. It seems that there are injuries that cannot be undone and you have to try your best to work around them. If that means avoiding certain exercises/activities, so be it. Sometimes you have to be smart instead of fighting through it. Better be save than sorry. ;)

i've never done a barbell hip thrust. I used to love high rep glute bridges tho. ;f I need to get back to those eventually, i'm gluteless without targeting them.

good stuff Leonel.

I really need to work on my squats (quad strength) though... I can deadlift 200-210kg but today I barely got 130kg on front squats... I think there is such a thing as being to p-chain dominant.  :-[ ;D

Thanks man! :) Started at 100-110kg like 2 1/2 months ago and a lot of the initial gains was just due to getting comfortable with the movement.

As of late I've been working on improving my air humping skills. Finally hit 200kg for 5 reps on hip thrusts today. (440lbs) I will probably not go any heavier than this because it becomes a bitch to set up at a certain weight and with heavier weights (even with a pad) I always bruise my pubic bone area which feels pretty damn uncomfortable. I would rather squat 200kg for reps but hey, I take it! :D

Fair enough.. I mean you really don't need to justify yourself. I just think that most of the stuff he says is just dumb and not viable. The fact that he seems to be teaming up with good old sarah doesn't increase his trustworthiness.

I thought so too that longer achilles tendon = better jumping ability (or at least potential to jump higher) also had the rubber band analogy in my mind. So you basically need to generate less force to lengthen the achilles tendon... but probably I'm missing the point here.  :-[

Please don't tell me your voting for trump!

Yeah fuck beauty standards it's just about being comfortable in your own skin. I'm 6' and 205lbs I don't look too big though either still gotta cut down some weight.

You look very skinny in that video.

squats look very solid! and damn 375lbs x 8 on RDL's that's some strong stuff. I did conventional deadlifts with the same weight for sets of 5 yesterday. haha
