just made a mulch power move! someone cutting down a beautiful red wood tree near work .. so i asked them if they can drive it 1 hour away and dump it at my property, would pay. so they asked for X and gave them X + 60.

would be well worth it, if it goes well.

nice! was a dazzler (amazing) here too. funny how you've mentioned it a few times recently, and was the exact same thing here.

2021-03-20

tons of pullups/dips/farm life throughout the day. feeling crazy strong on chinups.. feel so effortless.

lots of chainsawing at 3 PM .. so like chainsawing from 3-4:30 ish. then carrying lots of logs, some pretty big.

evening run: moderate 5k test: 3.1 @ ~6:30 -> 2nd half rough (strong headwind) .. happy about how it felt
- 4.3 mi total
- head wind sucked so bad, ruined sub 20 5k for sure. so i'm def in sub20 5k shape right now, which is nice.

finished the night w/ a fire pit and fell asleep (outside) towards the end, on a bench, in pitch darkness. #thelife .. just wish the fire would keep going forever.

adarq man, i'm telling you, come up and visit. i was thinking about you on sunday's run, going through rock creek park. so many beautiful places to run around here. so many races (when covid returns). i know you're kind of semi-retired from running, but if and when you get healthy, come on up. especially if i end up able to rent my friend's place, where i'd have a spare bedroom.

man i need to take you up on that. and i really appreciate it. sounds great.

i've always been so comfortable uhh, not going anywhere. the last 6 months or so has been very different for me, opening up to lots of new things (ie house, wine, not-gf (complicated lol), fires, etc lol). need to add traveling to the list, especially to see friends. so i'll probably take you up on that this year!!! would be dope to visit and hang out.

missed some logging apparently.. just tons of dips lately (no pulls because of bicep).

2021-03-14

probably 400+ dips throughout the day, no joke. lol.

- 5:56 on sand/rock trail -> wasn't ez

evening 2:
- more dips, some rings
- rings with a friend, messing around
- also did a really solid 1 arm hang, surprised me.. felt like a monkey.. felt gr8.
- i think my upper is crazy strong right now

happy about that mile .. not easy to hit higher paces when the surface is a little slippery.

need to basically get my ~3 mile to 6:10 or so pace by april 17 .. then be able to drop that hard last 3rd mile in a race and get under 19.
