Duudeee...you really like protein shakes huh?  :P
Man, I could not drink those shits that much!

id rather get it from food but, it's much cheaper with whey + milk.. the shakes i make taste great though, just whole milk + ON Gold Standard Cookies&Cream, but it tastes great.. would rather meat/chicken etc though for non peri/post workout nutrition.

peace man

50 F out tonight, last night was 43 F, regardless, very cold for florida.

12/7/2010

bw = 152 <- wtf
soreness = abs a little, calfs a little
aches/injuries = lower back, right ankle a little, bottom of feet a little
fatigue = low
diet = protein shake, tons of green beans + egg sandwhich on wheat bread + 1 slice cheese, walking, protein shake + 8 bananas, protein shake + PB sandwhich on wheat bread

legs feel REALLY good.. tomorrow should be interesting.. i feel so springy/powerful.. the back issue is annoying though, got to get this sorted soon.

workout: 8 miles walking
- hands were numb walking, so cold, lots of wind, windchill factor musta been nuts
- saw like 20+ cop cars.. man lots of breakins during the holidays, cops/undercover going crazy
- walking felt real soft..

hopefully going to that nice outdoor court tomorrow.

peace

Cool, that makes sense...I approach my diet pretty much the same way..I like cooking so I do mix it up a bit but yeah for the most part high protein, moderate carbs, moderate fat. I'll jump up my carb intake before an important training and after lower leg strength days...

Jumps and numbers are looking good ! I'm gonna have to go back through some threads to get a feel for the forum and stuff but it's good to be here...some like minded motherfuckers on here huh??

yup definitely, too bad we have so many posts now, woulda been easier to go back and check threads 6 months ago... lol ;)

peace

"Weird dreams" in what way? Positive or negative?

Dreaming is good, it only occurs during REM sleep so that's deep sleep which is very resting.

weird dreams is always a positive to me..

Introduce Yourself / Re: Adarq bio?

Haha yeah I'd really like to visit New York, but Miami is cool too ;D

Problem is - time is passing by. There's only a small window of athleticism... which is fading as the days go by (unless you're training and getting better, that is :D).

I'd really really like to see Vince play in real life... time on THAT is going by rapidly.

bro, stop ur whining, we'll just lower the rims as we get older.. i hope to be jumping 45" into my 40's, lol, but if that doesn't happen, we'll just age adjust the rims, 9' at 40, 8' at 50, 7' at 60.

adarq.org dunk fest on 7' rims at 60+ years old, wut u kno bout dat.

About me:
Married, father of two boys.

awesome!

Quote
About 3 years vert training history.
Naturally stronger than I am quick. Longer torso, shorter limbs with thicker joints.
Not currently playing any sports, About 8 hours sleep a night. Supplementing whey, multi, fish oil, B100 and D3.

Goals:
Lose about 9-10 pounds fat while maintaining strength.
Get my 1 RM squat above 300lbs (Finally)
Be able to consistently get my fingers over the rim.

what are you doing to lose that 9-10 lb fat? what kind of cardio do you do and when do you do it? The kind of cardio you get in is important because, I'd recommend moving "reactive work" to mon/fri, and putting pretty much jumps alone on wednesday.. that'll give you a higher frequency of reactive work which is needed to "learn" how to spring off the ground more efficiently.

Quote
I am currently in a strength building phase. I am working out legs Mon, Wed, Fri, with Wed being plyo/jump centered.
I also do upperbody and cardio on off days. dynamic warm ups pre workout and stretching daily.

here was my workout for yesterday

12/6/10 Monday

Squat
5 x 135
5 x 185
4 x 4 x 225

Dumbbell Lunges 80#s
3 x 8

Reverse Hypers BW+10
4 x 10

Hamcurls 75#
4 x 8

Toe Raisers on leg press 225#
4 x 12

nice man, why 4x4 with 225 though on squat, if 1RM is 275?

what's your diet like?

i have a few suggestions for your routine, of course you don't have to do them, but I have some things that I think would make it more effective and I'll post them once I get replies to some of those questions i posted in here, that way i'm not way off base.

glad you're here man, lets get that strength/vert up & body comp in check!!!

peace man
