WTF IS WRONG WITH YOUR EYES!!! IT looks like your sick/tired/high!! Jesus man, go see a doctor lol...did you get into a bar fight???

dno it was ~45 degrees or so, could have had something to do with it.. either that or the insane amount of crystal meth i smoked 30min before dunking.

The routine he does from 3.20 on...that leg thing...fucking sick...so much flexibility, strength and co-ordination..

havn't seen that vid before, but that is a very 'refreshing vid', great vid.. simple, yet nice tips, but more than that, he seems like a really good guy.

he has a thread here: http://www.adarq.org/forum/400m-sprinting/harry-aa/

so now he has two threads ;P

seems like a good dude, love his intensity in his videos too.. really would love to see much more footage of his training.

Haha, pure dedication and respect to Adarqui for this video...

2x squat singles for the win!

thanks man! 2.05xBW!!! ;d

You take about as long between this singles as kingfish does on a normal squat set ... only difference he keeps the bar on his back the whole time... gotta do the same to keep up  :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

hahahah ya, exactly, kingfish might as well re-rack it and call it msem singles ;d i remember talking to him about it, he said the bar burries into his back good, otherwise his shoulders kill him constantly unracking/racking the bar.

most of those reps were surprisingly fast on the concentric, making 315lbs your bitch, gj  :strong:  :strong:  :strong:

thanks man, i really focused on the concentric, the 8th rep actually had the bar come off my back at the top! lol

Question: What do you do when the weather is really rainy/stormy and your scheduled for a weight training session... do you go hardcore and work in the pouring rain, wind? Just wondering as the weather wasn't obviously too good in this video neither...

well, i'll wait a bit, florida weather is pretty faced past, it rarely rains ALL night.. if it is raining non stop though, ill def squat in the rain.. i normally put it off though for an hour etc, hoping the rain disappears. i check the weather satelites etc, gives me a good idea of when ill be able to train without rain haha..

ya man it was SOOOOOOOOOOO windy that night..

pc

2nd one looks higher then the rest of them!

hardcore bloody finger dunking  :headbang:

thanks! ya man 2nd one looks highest, first one is my fav though.. love how i caught that one.

i split my finger open pretty bad, its like a laceration.. was very painful haha.. can barely type with it, it has a blood bubble in it now.

pc!

2nd one looks higher then the rest of them!

hardcore bloody finger dunking  :headbang:
was about to type EXACTLY this  :o

good job man

thankns mang!@$!@

title of dunke session: VETERAN"S DUNKS SON!!!

dude, you shoulda shoved that mop up his lazy ass!! lol, I never thought of asking for a mop b4! that is a good idea homie

ya ive gone and gotten the mop myself plenty of times and wiped down the half court im dunking on, pretty much my path to dunk and the entire paint area.. it works great, floor gets so much grip.. that fucking retard pissed me off.. whatever, fuck that place, it's been slippery the last 3 times i've gone, going to just go outdoors, roof'd outdoor court on thurs.

so, went to indoor gym, floor slippery, asked people for a damp mop, this douchebag said it wouldnt help, i tellhim ive done it plenty of times and it fixes the issue, so he goes and gets a dry mop that does nothing.. so i left, went outdoor.. couldn't jump for shit.. just windy as hell, cold, etc.. then some WWII vet shows up with his grand kids, and that somehow snapped me back into form.. landed a nice dunk for him, he told me to get up hah..

So much more bend that Adarqui... also throwing those legs so far forward... lower on the penultimate as well. This is how I'd love to see Andrew jump as a technique but you know, he's with the "I jump by feel thing" so...

uh he doesn't get more bend than me in the plant, lol.. it's either the same, or depending on the jump, i actually get more bend than that.

U BLIND MANG, BLIND.

here are some backward depth drops, i don't really think you need an angled surface, just some forward lean.. they are a MUCH stiffer drop than forward drops, mostly for the ankles/hips.. I prefer them now over forward drops.

ADARQ & LanceSTS - Q&A / Re: Every day squatting
« on: December 14, 2010, 01:16:21 pm »
Yeah I know, but you guys were saying "EXTREMELY WELL" warm-up so I figured that automatically means I need to feel pumped and "hot" (I'm pretty hot naked but I need to be dressed in the gym, gym policy).

OK, thanks for the answer :D

nononoononoonononnoon, warmup very well dynamically, you need to get increased blood flow to all of the tissues using an active/dynamic warmup, light sprints, etc.. the biggest warmup with the actual bar should be with the 45 lb bar, you could spend 4-5 sets of 10-15 etc, but after that, it's a very low volume workup.

here's the initial high frequency squat article: http://www.adarq.org/forum/performance-training-blog/old-instant-rfd-part-3-high-frequency-squat/

here's an example workup for a singles session, with the squatting itself:

Training C:
- half squat warmup: 45 @ 4x10, 135 @ 5, 185 @ 5, 235 @ 3, 255 @ 1,1 275 @ 1,1, 295 @ 1,1
- MSEM half squat: 315 @ 8 singles, 295 x 8 singles (nice depth)

MSEM, 315 x 8 singles.. depth wasnt too bad on them! im happy.. 7th rep = massive grinder, 8th rep = best rep probably lol.. will try and get the 295 x 8 singles up eventually soon. pc

bw = forgot to measure, shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit
soreness = right calf
aches/injuries = left knee a little (from not warming up + dunking), right hip a little (most likely from the 295 MSEM squat singles, hit better depth on that, but, i hit a grinder during 315, rep 7 i believe, so, coulda been that too)
fatigue = low
diet = protein shake, philly cheese steak + fries + birch beer, 2 cookies, training, protein shake + 4 bananas, protein shake + 4 bananas

workout: sprints + walk
- total walk 6 miles
- short sprints: ~20 yards x 9, max effort
- felt very stiff/explosive on sprints, good sign

saw 10 shooting stars tonight wtf? 43 degrees F when i worked out, was fun.

rendered set of 315 x 8 singles, MSEM, took 10 hours lol.. uploading as i sleep to youtube. :F

will render/upload the 295 x 8 singles tomorrow too, curious to see how those look, less powerful koz i didn't emphasize concentric speed as much, but even lower depth probably..

pc!!!!

tmw indoor gym is open until 5pm, hoping to get some big jumps in.

12/13/10

Dynamic warm up.

Power cleans 135#
2 x 3

Reactive squats 85#
3 x 5

Squats
5 x 135
3 x 185
3 x 225
2 x 245
1 x 265
1 x 225

Deadlift
6 x 135
3 x 6 x 225

Reverse Hyper BW+10
4 x 12

Seated toe raisers 45#
3 x 10

Leg curls 85#
3 x 8

Ab work. stretch.

Pretty gassed, felt weak and without direction tonight. Crowed gym and no plyo boxes available.
Wanted to see if I could tie PR from last year on squat. probably a bad night to try. Don't think I could of hit 275. so left on positive.

Need more cardio. lifting makes me feel horribly out of shape. (Which I am)

short sprints make you *human* :) get em` in ! intervaling them sub max helps with cardio too.. but max effort short sprints (10m-20m etc) just does wonders for your health.

peace man

im not the most graceful on depth drops either, only 1 jump my heels didnt touch the ground UGH on the other jumps i didnt feel my heels hit once but whatevs fuck it

adarq roughly for how long should your feet be on the ground for a depth jump, i think my is way to long lol

it varies, you're looking at .22-.3 seconds though generally, from the onset of impact.
