It looks very hard to win at judo, you try a grab the other guys (robe) dont know wat they call it, but they have to grab and try to put them on the floor but they just struggle out of it so harder to grab and throw them.
I was watching the mens one also

The food pictures looking solid, but that is a lot of food, are you able to finish all that, just by looking at it, I feel the stomach pains of trying to finish that  :P or maybe the photo makes it looker bigger then it is.

It seems manny pacquiao maybe returning and they have chosen jessie vargas as their opponent over terence crawford.

https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2016/aug/04/manny-pacquiao-return-wbo-jessie-vargas-boxing

Might be an intriguing matchup, I would have prob preferred crawford, but maybe jessie's come forward style and mexican style and pacquiao's aggresive style is a better style matchup then crawford.

if pacquiao's fire is not truly gone and jessie vargas still has fire then can we expect a pacquiao vs morales or pacquiao vs barerra style fight, or maybe im hoping too much

I always carry my bottle to fill with water but when I checked, someone took it out, so I couldn't have water for the entire workout, sometime i would fill my hand with some water and drink that, so I couldn't sprint alot. I wanted to add some core workout and my coach told me about the stabilisation version, I tried 20kg, it was too hard to stabilize so started at 10kg first then progress, then did the high to low wood chop, new so had to try and adjust to it.

Boxing / Re: 07/30/2016: Cruz vs Frampton -> WAR
« on: August 01, 2016, 11:23:21 am »
OMG, whaat a fight, this is the type of fight I like to watch, it was a war but not a careless punch up like brandos rion vs alvarado (where they're willing to get hit and hit back), this was an all out war mixed with smart boxing and counter punching.

I didn't think carl frampton would pull it off based on his last fight with scott quigg, but his style of counter punching, head movement was excellent, I liked his method of backstepping and then catching santa cruz coming in.

santa cruz just couldn't catch frampton his was slipping and moving, but not running, carl frampton definitely suits his nickname of the way he fights hit, move back and then hit again by luring the opponent in.

Santa cruz didn't take advantage of his height and would reach in, he had some good shots and some slick moves where he would turn frampton around against the ropes and attack, but other than that he couldn't catch him and has not experienced fighting who counter punches moves like frampton, most of his opponent would trade with him in the pocket

great fight, also good win by mikey garcia.

The vest put more stress on my quads during the sprints and made the SLRDL harder as when I lean over the weight is pulling down from my body and then theres weight in my hand, so that felt like a good workout.

Start of Day 1 - 25/07

Its an off day, meaning no workouts today, only on wedesday and saturday. I will just mention the small workouts I do, not intentionally, but just the workouts that I notice from my day to day activities, e.g. some stair works, climbing and downstairs, walking.

Some dynamic yoga techniques.

Condition: nice breeze, slightly warm and sunny but nothing too suffocating with this vest on.
Vest weight: 5kg

Boxing / Re: 07/23/2016: Postol vs Crawford
« on: July 25, 2016, 05:11:58 am »
yes, it definitely was really one sided after first 3 rounds and as you mentioned his ability to change to south paw, this what he basically did in the second or the third round and stayed in that stance for the entire match, he also added lateral movements, which made it even more difficult for postol.

At first it seemed postol might be exchanging and being aggressive for the early rounds and crawford couldn't adjust, but in reality those 3 rounds, crawford was assessing postols style and after in the 4th rounds, straight on the bell, knockout, which I felt was on the back of the head, but after crawford found his style and knocked himn out again in the same round, but this was very devestating on the chin, you could tell how he was viewing the world when he was retreating with his body and head at a slant angle, that he dizzy and would fall any moment.

At the last round, crawford stopped the lateral movements and indicated to postol, you want me, here come take your best shot at me, crawford to aggressive mode pressuring postol, making postol move back and be cautious about his next move.

This really was due to postol's lack of experience that lost him the fight, he was basically following crawford instead of cutting the ring and being tagged for it. Crawford managed to adjust nicely and had a nice counter attack and he was strategic and aggressive. You could see based on their stance and the way they were bouncing ,if you would say, that crawford was more relaxed while postol was not relaxed as much and wanted to find that knockout opportunity, his jab started to disappear later on. Till the last round postol turned aggressive and pressured crawford, which was a little too late and lost the fight.

Top rank mentioned that pacquiao will be fighting again on 5th november and he wants against the winner of this match, which is crawford, who when asked about it was acting like pacquiao was nothing and that he was willing to fight anyone his camp chose for him, playing it cool lol.

My coach wanted to try something new with me, which was what todday expermented i think, the hypergravity effect, dont remember the name, but its when you wear a weighted vest on for a long period of time even after workout, just keep it on, except for when i go to sleep.

But I will be keeping it on for 3-4 weeks straight, doing the same workout I am currently doing, 60m sprints, followed by, which I will try ankle hops and tuck jumps if my shins dont bother me, then followed by BSS and SLRDL and lets see what happens.

Progress Journals & Experimental Routines / Re: THE DREAM JOURNAL
« on: July 23, 2016, 09:11:53 am »

I had this wierd crazy dream, it was actually 2 dreams with similar themese. The first dream I was in this wierd prison and the officers and the soldiers were wearing nazi military uniforms, I was inside with my brother, (not the same one I was in prison with) and we were planning an escape, through the gates, I think I left first and he said he was going to join me after or something, we then go into this city/village and try take refuge in some families house and it seemed that the prison found we escaped as they were searching for us and the family we stayed with didn't like us and found us suspicious (dont think they knew we were escaped prisoners) but they didn't like us staying, so we just said, we going to leave and left before the nazi soldiers searched that place and then dont remember wat happened after. I think i woke up.

Then I was in the same situation, but don't know if we were in a prison or wat, but it was locked down area and me and my brother were trying to leave and this officer, not nazi i dont think, was looking for a key and my brother had it, and he was searched first so he put it in my boot, when i was searched i had to distract the officer but throwing something under the bus, i dont know wat transport, maybe bus we tried to escape onto or maybe its continuation of first dream and we were trying to escape onto bus but they searched us, dont know, but after disctracting, my brother took the key from my boots, its that type of key with a circular end, which is used in computers. Then me and my brother and me and my dad were in this wierd place, we were trying to get out of and my dad got in this car, dont know how that fit into the dream and crashed it into a oil or gas pipe which set the car on fire just to help us escape, which was depressing and the dream ended after we escaped from this place, watever it was.

do you often have dreams this detailed/big or this was out of the ordinary?

man i used to dream so much.. i rarely remember my dreams anymore. It's horrible. I'm dreaming much more now though than I was the prior ~2 years.. so that's good at least.

this was out of the ordinary, before I used to have dreams like this detailed, but i rarely get dreams this big and detailed.

You probably were exhausted or something when you wrote this post as the fight is on the 23/07/2016, but whos counting (2nd date typo  :P), but it doesn't matter.

But I agree it will be a good fight, the taller boxer postol vs the smart puncher crawford, postol may have the height advantage, as that makes it harder on the opponent but for crawford, it wont be a problem because he is just that good, looking at his previous fights and postol's inexperience of fighting top contenders, I see it as probably postol trying to make it awkward and rugged but postol will be able to clear it up and comeout with the win, i dont see a knockout happening but a UD.

Wow, is just an understatement and it deserved its own thread.

I never knew she didnt make the us olympic team in the trials but what she did in this diamond league, is just a statement to those people, that the US have lost one of their best athletes and winning a gold medal, they win a gold medal, but not someone of this status.

The 100m Hurdles final, she always performs but when she won this race and I saw the time jump to 12.57 I was thinking, how, it was definitely faster then that, then the time was corrected to 12.20 WR.

Her reaction to seeing her world record time was epic, I am really happy for her.
