Ok, well that's up to you, ever tried it the other way the last couple of years though (same situation you're in now)?
Jumps looked back on track so I expect big things end of feb mang.
thanks man, i was surprised at how good some of those jumps were considering.. it definitely gave me some extra motivation for when i get healthy.. 40+ is in sight.
i had some intro where i talked on vid, prior to the dunks, but i took it out, i was coughing and shit it was funny.. voice basically gone, sounded real sick lol..
hoping i feel better tomorrow, plan on squatting for volume tomorrow night.

Ps. Last tip is jarred veggies are extremely cheap (I'm a persistent s.o.b., I know) and depending on the brand they're pretty good as well.
jarred veggies? you mean like canned veggies?
i plan to eat more eggs and more bananas so that's where my budget is now.. i'd like to start eating 3 eggs a day + 6-8 bananas.
antonio silva vs fedor, everyone into mma go watch it.. i am actually starting to think antonio silva could win the entire grand prix, amazing.. he is SO strong, so huge, chin is granite, very skilled standing & on ground..
fedor hit him with bombs and it didn't do shit to him..
fedor gets the utmost respect though, how he survived round 2, no one will ever know.. survived full mount for like 2.5 minutes, survived two subs, survived crazy GNP.. what a monster.. too bad his eye BROKE or whatever the hell happened..
ill link the fight when it becomes avail on youtube, def worth watching.
another dunk mix with raptor aka "voice of an angel dunker" on the mic
staph infection + flu-like symptoms, pretty happy with how i got up.. today i can't even talk and i feel so sick, so glad i dunked last night.. lol
rest today.. miraculously the staph lumps didn't get worse today... stayed the same, good sign! really sick though, lost voice, headache, tons of mucous.. hah

IMPORTANT REMINDERS - DO NOT squat without heels elevated, used to heels elevated, too much sitting back aggravates back injury - DO NOT deadlift aggravates back injury - DO NOT overstretch quads, aggravates ankle injury <-- happens every time, STOP IT - as of 1/15/2011, don't do 325 x 5, instead, hit MSEM singles at 325+, stay 305-315 x 5+ - cut out milk, water + protein shakes from now on, more vitamin C, at least 6 bananas per day, more chicken/eggs - utilize pin squats more, pin 6 work up then transition into pin 7

You didn't survive a gang-related shooting to put up with this kind of shit.
lol
ya he's just dumb.. i've given him props many times for his dunking, even when he was talking mad shit to me.. my problem with him is his promotion of squatflex and how he said it got him his hops, and then in a video years prior, he claims all of his hops are natural, and he was jumping the same.. shit like that.. he's a scammer.
ya i know right... fucking need to get healthy and i'll hit it, shit is pissing me off..

Ps. way to ignore my last post mang smh.
i didn't ignore it, i replied to you in my head then forgot to type it.. bottom line it aint in my budget heheh.. bananas are more important imo.. diet is going good right now though, im feeling good regardless of being sick/staph coming back, feeling good as in, strong/light etc.. if i can shake this staph shit i'll be on my way to some nasty jumps.
fml
doesn't matter how i eat, i'm an injury prone/sickness prone dude.. heh
Have been getting a crucial ache in my knee (ITB, maybe plantaris), calf, Achilles, heel and top of my foot just before the third and fourth toes. There's a dirty trigger point (or 12) in there somewhere. I haven't had an ache like this in a while so I'm gonna get to the gym early tonight and do a shit ton of SMR and stretching and shit.
Plan for tomorrow is to walk a whole lot with my dad (he's doing a 60 mile hike over 4 days for his 60th birthday, I'm joining for day 3), so it would be nice to be free of lingering leg pain before I get into that.
damn your dad is beast.. sounds fun, hope you're health for it.
Great walk. I ended up joining my dad for the last 13 of his 16 miles yesterday. Beautiful day and I love spending time with him, so it was really nice.
Went to a Utah State University basketball game today against Fresno. Student section was AMAZING. The vibe in the spectrum feels unreal. I got to be part of this madness today... it's twice as epic when you're in the middle of it.
They have some pretty good players too. Saw quite a few nice dunks. More on USU side of course.... because we're better.
they did that when you were there? pretty cool, really intense..
not to go off on a rant or anything, but, i find that kind of unity odd.. i've never had it.. i've never felt that kind of 'unity' with my high school, college, country, or anything.. i lack that "my bleh is better than yours", fill that in with country, school, team, anything.. it's odd.. like for team sports, in reality, i don't really support any team, i just support the players that I follow.. like I watch nba now for lebron/blake griffin and stuff like that.. i remember watching a playoff game with the spurs, and tim duncan got hurt, at the opponent's arena... and everyone was cheering him off the court, even though he was hurt/being helped out/into the locker room.. it's odd, i genetically seem to lack a 'blind support' for some kind of state or organization confined to some borders etc.
dno, weird rant, but videos like that make me think about it..
a good example of it would be the pacers/detroit pistons incident, where those home fans were just going apeshit, then finally someone throws a drink on artest... to me that's just unfathomable.. that's such a deep loyalty to a team/franchise that doesn't truly have any loyalty to you, odd.
s1: Bench: 5 x (65, 75, 85, 90, 90, 85) s1: rows: 5 x (50, 55, 70, 80)
had walked off to psyche myself up for another top set. this was a set i got last week, tho the last rep was abit icky. after getting all hyped up, i walk back to the rack, and saw the bench put to an incline. 2 faggots were hanging themselves upside down, doing decline bench press. with 2.5kg each side.
eek wtf?
claim your territory man.. walk around but stay near your equipment..

Hey everybody, first off a little about me. I'm 21/M 5'9" wit shoes 148 lbs, around 9% body fat. Squat 160 (5 reps), Deadlift 185 (5 reps), Bench Press 185 (1repmax)
definitely need to get alot stronger

7'0" reach (short arms) and a 33" max 2 feet vert, 36" max 1 foot vert (basically just touching rim).
you sure only 7'0 reach? that's EXTREMELY short for 5'9... that's one arm or two? regardless, very low reach that'd be some very short arms.
if that's your true reach then those are some nice vert numbers.
regardless of your actual vert, if you are just touching rim, barely, you're going to want around 8 inches over to land that first dunk

I have been totally in love with and obsessed with basketball since I was in middle school. I'm a scoring guard, who is usually the player with the quickest 1st step on the court 9 times out of 10. Since moving to campus at my university, and having free access to a weight room and basketball courts all the time, I have decided to revitalize my goal of dunking. I have literally been obsessed with being able to dunk for the past few months and have done extensive research online and such. As I join this forum I hope I will gain the knowledge on how to do just that from the members and Adarqui himself.
awesome man, sounds like you have pretty good quickness.. will check your journal tomorrow probably, saw you posted one.
This is pjtvs. I was a member of TVS. I checked that but it seems pretty dead... So i decided to come to this site.

I am a belgian 21yo, 6ft tall, about 155-160lbs. I used to be in basketball but then i quit that to go train for the 400m. That unfortunately did not work out very well. There were injuries but also the fact that i cannot see my trainer for months in a row is not a good thing at all.
sucks ;/
400m is tough to do without a 'group' + coach.

So i decided to pick up what i always loved: training for speed/power/strength and mainly vertical jump!
nice!

I don't have any stats right now. I am in mediocre shape, have been way better.
I am in my 4th year of physiotherapy at Leuven university so i know a thing or two about anatomy and sports training in general. After i finish my 5th year, i might start starting sports at the university as well.
really cool man, physio brings in the money but sport training (S&C) is always more fun to me, that's why i went that route.

I will start up a journal in which i will share my training and post up some vids!
