Thoughts on ketones? I am coming across more and more guys going full keto but there seems to be a way to get some benefits without going low/no carb.

Put the price aside for the sake of this discussion.  Also, put aside that Paul Carter looks to be repped by the manufacturer. Just for the moment anyway.

Have been thinking about something like the anabolic diet for a while and this may provide somewhat of a nice balance. It's also not all about performance though as I've been reading a lot on the overall health benefits involved.

Keto or just low carb is generally good but hard to maintain unless you have an overly obsessive personality.  I am doing a somewhat low carb even though low carb for me is like 50-100 grams(it feels like its impossible to get under 50 lol) but after a period of 3-4 days of strict my energy and performance goes to hell even with high protein and high fat macros.  You'd be better off just going with carb cycling tbh, I'm only trying to go low carb to lose the weight quickly which isn't exactly healthy.

You're doing tri training yeah? How do you find low carb fitting in with that? Do you intend to revert back once you're at a certain weight or hope to become fat adapted. I know a few triathletes who are low/no carb and love it. Took them a while to get through the fog though.

I like the idea of something like the anabolic diet though. Low carb (<50g) with 1 or 2 high carb days per week. Don't know how this would affect performance on the track or the basketball court which is the main issue. I'm pretty carb tolerant though and and don't know how I would go largely giving them up.

Yeah I'm in the process of training for one, wont be until next year though, I'd rather get to around 220.  I'm just focusing on running until my fitness tests are over.  As far as how I feel now, not too bad, if I feel exhausted one day then i just increase my calories a bit and I'm usually good.  If more carbs help your performance and you're not a slave to carbs then I'd play around with how many you can have without gaining weight.

Tomorrow is just a 20 minute run on the track, just getting in a little bit of some final volume, going to focus on a little bit of speed but just mainly form(as much as Ik) and just trying to keep a relaxed pace and heart rate.  I have the 1.5 mile run on wednesday so a 20 minute run should be 2.xx miles, looking for 17 minutes range for 2 miles tomorrow.

Also, I think I am catching the crossfit fever again, the women are just so hot lol  The skandinavian women, just think about the genetics potential there for a future powerlifter, strongman or crossfitter.

url?

this might have been it, I just remember a lot of articles coming out not long after the documentary.  I remember he told his cellmate or just another inmate that the best way to get rid of evidence is to burn the body.  Her vehicle key is suspicious I'll admit but finding his sweat on the key is yeah, that's hard to plant on someone lol

The pokemon go car accident that happened when it pretty much came out was in a city near me.  I've had to kick out pokemon go players at work because they wandered onto the site....it's sad really.

Now one that actually looks interesting is pretty much the same thing but it's a 1st person shooter.

WEIGHT: ???
SORENESS: none
ACHES/INJURIES: none
MENTAL STATE: good

- warm up

- skater jump x 20,20

- one-step RVJ x 5

*remove vest*

- DLRVJ dunk attempts x ~15
got a buddy to throw lobs. put one through the net but kind of bobbled the ball in, doesn't quite count. close on a few others. timing is hard. kind of messed up my shoulder on the 12th or 13th jump and couldn't get up quite as high after that so called it.

- one-on-one x 20 mins
i lost, lol. blame it on the tired legs.

gonna play tennis with my dad in a couple hours.

- tennis x 60 mins
whipped my dad, 6-1 (and the 1 was mostly unforced errors). this is as it should be, i'm 35 years younger than he is. it was hot as shit, i have a headache now. similar to one i got a few weeks back after sweating like crazy in the gym earlier in the day. i was vigilant about hydration today, too.

Have you ever had or gotten close to having some sort of heat stroke/exhaustion?  I was extremely close to having it at the academy just from standing in line nut to butt with everyone in a 95 degree building(Prisons aren't air conditioned).  After almost passing out, if I'm in the heat doing anything for a bit I start to get a sick feeling and this is a year or so after and I still get it.

1 mile walk at 3.6 mph

I went on 3 different treadmills and they all would skip and stick after a certain speed so I said fuck it and walked.

Stairmaster x 20 minutes around 1.8 miles.  Sweating balls afterwards.

267.2lbs

-32.7lbs

Total from heaviest is 35lbs

My goal was 269 by next Monday and I already have met that.  I'm at 267 now not waterlogged and if I stay strict enough,  I want 259 by Monday even if dropping water helps.  On my lowest hydration days I'm still 2-3 cups over the 8 cups a day recommendation.  As long as I rehydrate the night before and some the morning of I should be good to go.  I don't need to be too hydrated, it's only 1 mile plus 300 meters with some other stuff.

lmao @ sharknado. never saw it.. can't imagine it isn't horrible.

probably a great movie if u like to watch movies while being high as fuck.

Lol they're awful but I think they are intentionally bad.

Pretty soon I'll head to the gym, just gotta wait for my brother.  They have a legit stair master there so I want to hit that up and some weights, go full body.

Busy with brakes today so I went to the new sammich shop and got a Ruben with a parfait omnomnomnom.

I'll have protein shakes later.

The run felt like the others pretty much, tomorrow I'll try 7mph for 2 miles and get some weights in because I am feeling soft.

Sharknado is just the worst series of movies ever.

6.8mph x 2 miles.

Felt comfortable the last .8 miles.  Gotta get my brakes put on which is a workout itself
