I agree that i stepped way over the line, but, what I said is the truth. Calling his son unathletic wasn't a polite thing to do, but he brags about molding his kid for years, unfortunately using many schroeder-like ideologies, but what does his son have to show for it?.

West will know for certain there is FAR more to running fast than ISO extremes.

Old time strongmen were massive on ISO's, I would bet a good chunk of money many of them couldn't run that fast.


What time duration did West recommend his son hold these ISO's for?. 5mins?.

ya well the typical iso protocols they use are 5 minutes, bodyweight, "pulling yourself into position maximally".. he mentioned that he found 1min isos more effective later on down the line, or something like that.

damn that was an intense ass round!!  Diaz has a strong ass chin...  should be a rematch i think??  close fight.  when Daley rocked Diaz at 4:00 mark he should have finished Diaz.  he let that one slipped.


id rather watch diaz fight better talent in ufc, he's really on point lately..

i dont think daley could have finished diaz, the diaz bros are well known for getting massively rocked and hanging in only to submit you soon after.. i just think daley will always get outclassed by diaz, daley doesn't have the discipline/stamina to go 3+ rounds with diaz.. after round 1, he's toast versus diaz's type of style.

i'm surprised he got finished the way he did, he was just gassed already by the end of round 1 lmao.

diaz/gsp please, or diaz/kos + diaz/sanchez first, as tune ups for gsp.

but.................. what a bunch of wimps.. I post my april 2011 dunk mix, one guy replies - really enjoying it, then mr west58 acts like a complete douche, i chew him out, and my thread gets deleted/I get banned.

bottom line, if you want to learn how to train like a pussy and obsess over "foam rolling/iso extremes", going to a mat specialist, and becoming a parasympathetic athlete while measuring your stool softness, go on over to wannagetfast.com and train like a bitch. Some people will be like, "hey adarq, why are you giving them site traffic by even listing their website on your forum"? Well, I still will enjoy reading that forum through my proxy firefox plugin, because at least once a week someone actually makes a post, and it is usually filled with hilarious overanalyzing.

I agree that i stepped way over the line, but, what I said is the truth. Calling his son unathletic wasn't a polite thing to do, but he brags about molding his kid for years, unfortunately using many schroeder-like ideologies, but what does his son have to show for it? He purposefully keeps his kid from lifting using traditional methods, because he's still trying to get him to "fire right". The attack on his coaching of his son is definitely the only questionable part of that post, because let's not forget that he has wasted many young athletes time & energy by experimenting on them with iso extreme training protocols. In his position, he shouldn't be "experimenting" on anyone other than himself. As a coach you're supposed to utilize methods that work with your athletes, not use them as lab rats having them utilize ridiculous training methods.

I understand that much of my videos look the same, i'm working my ass off to keep pushing my limits and get to where I want to be, but unfortunately that doesn't include learning a new trick dunk every day of the week for months on end. People who hate on my dunk videos for the "trick aspect", are people who are just looking for a reason to hate.

My situation is far different than a sprinter posting vids and not including his times.... If you look at the last time I posted videos on there, the progress is clearly evident, so you can in fact see that I am "jumping higher and landing harder/more impressive dunks", which would equate to demonstrating improvements in sprint time.

Here's the main issue I have with your stance: I don't go around posting "That's boring i've seen that 100 times" on people's videos who are working their ass off. His comment was hardly justified, because the footage I posted is way better than any other I have ever posted on that forum. He doesn't follow my adarqtv youtube, pretty sure of that, so it's not like he had seen everything that was in that video, in fact he hadn't seen any of it. People who follow my adarqtv account, who are into seeing others progress & support them, also commented on that video with positive feedback, even though they have already seen every dunk in that video... Those people would actually have a legit claim to being "annoyed", since they are watching footage they ALREADY saw, the exact same footage...... but they aren't, they are people who, for the most part, if they don't have something positive to say about a video, they leave it unsaid.

I wasn't trying to get my dick sucked over there at WGF forum, I was simply posting a video which demonstrates all of the hard work I have been putting in. The very first reply I got from "Ryz" was extremely positive. I am open to negative feedback, but more from a "performance standpoint". Forget tricks, simply keep raw vert/hard dunks and training. It's not like i'm posting a video where i'm jumping "lower or the same as previous videos". It's not like all of the work I put in has resulted in me "squatting less weight or working out with less intensity". Those would be valid gripes. What I posted was a video which demonstrates my improvements in vert/athleticism, due to my work ethic with training, so for someone who is full of shit to go right at me and "call it boring", looking for a reason to hate, is very disrespectful. That's a performance forum, NOT A DUNKING FORUM, that is a VERRRRRRRY big difference. A dunking forum has more of a right to just tell me to get lost, because i'm not improving my tricks like I should be, i'm not going out and practicing on low rim to make sure I get that windmill down etc, so to dunker's I am "not dedicating myself to the game"... But from a PERFORMANCE STANDPOINT, there is without a doubt that I have improved my athleticism greatly compared to previous videos, and that is why we talk on performance forums & not dunk forums. Think about Ryz's initial reply to my video, and then think about west58's, look at it from the perspective of "improving athleticism", not dunking/tricks... "West58: Boring, need more props" etc.. ... ... ...

So his reply was very disrespectful from a coaching/athletic improvement standpoint, that's why he got his anus gaped.

When I see someone working their ass off for power/speed/vert, trying their hardest to improve, I never offer negative feedback, only positive suggestions, and i'm always supportive. If this person just so happens to be using dunks to demonstrate that improved athleticism, I don't look at it from a "ability to do technical dunks" standpoint, I look at it from a pure athleticism standpoint. If I want to watch trick dunks, I'll go watch TFB videos.. Regardless, i'm rarely EVER one to cast the first stone, once one is cast my way though, I go at you, it's a problem in the business world/shaking hands world, but it's me, don't disrespect me and we won't have a problem, it's even worse in person, but it rarely ever happens in person. West58 wouldn't utter a negative word to me in person, and i'm not acting like a tough guy, in person you can see my dedication/passion/intensity way better than on video, disrespecting it in front of my face just never happens, because weak minded negative people never enter that realm.

Well, all I care about is 47, head on rim. I got tired of claiming numbers based on dunk stills etc. That wrist band I wear in each video is 4 inches, with a reach of 95", and my hand is 8 inches, so anyone wishing to formulate numbers from a video can do so a bit more accurately given the wrist band.

Hitting my head on the rim is the goal, but that doesn't mean I want to give any importance to any number less than 47... Being proud about any number less than 47 would hold me back. I'm already at war with my body to try and get it over 40, I can't even waste mental energy worrying about exact measurements other than just a quick visual of how high my forearm is on rim or how close head is to rim, other than that, i don't care about it anymore.

Including all of those numbers in the video would also be hell and annoying :F

How knowledgeable is Chris Korfist?.

korfist seems really knowledgable.. i've seen some of the dvd's, they are ok.. you can gain alot just from the articles they have & the previous forum which doesn't exist anymore.. i'm not really into their style of training, but korfist/dan seem to get good results with their athletes.

if you're into traditional barbell training, their system will be very foreign to you.

ok so day pretty much sucked, ill updat journal tomorrow, didnt do any actual training just glute bridges/calve raises, feeling better tho, if i sleep good tomorrow back at it big dunkin.

only good thing about today is i finished my april dunk mix, 4:20 minutes of dunks n shiz.. i like how it came out, cant wait til it's uploaded.. very quick edit but i like it, think some people might enjoy it.. gotta do it bigger in may though, may dunk mix has to be better.

ok so, try to sleep at 4am, been trying to fix my sleep schedule for a few weeks now.. got it down from 6am to 4-4:30 am.. but sleep sucks now, i wakeup way too much.. so i've gone back to using melatonin to try and help me get a better night's sleep, but that shuts me down mentally when i'm dunking.. i've noticed that when i use melatonin, the next day i just can't get into that 4th or 5th gear.. i consider myself to have 5 gears while dunking.. when i get lack of sleep, sometimes i'm fine, i can still tap into that ability.. but when i use melatonin, even if i get alot of sleep, much of the time i end up just being unable to psyche up at all, i can literally feel this "haze" in my brain.. i just can't get into 4th or 5th gear, usually can't even get into 4th, like today... whenever i have this "burning feeling in my eyes", i'm just fucked, nothing i can do to have a primed workout, and with my goals, i need to be primed every god damn day.. im fucking up..

ok so, i also need to eat more fiber.. the best i ever felt in life was when i was boxing.. tons of cardio/heavy bag/jump rope/whatever, but my diet was crazy high in fiber, at least 60g daily, from cans of red kidney beans (2-3 per day) and bananas.. body felt great..

maybe i'm just older now but honestly, i feel "like shit" alot.. sleep schedule has alot to do with it i imagine, but when i was boxing i was going to bed around 3-4 am every night, so not sure if that's it.. i was 22-25 when i boxed, i'm turning 29 soon, so age definitely could be a factor.

another thing, contributing to that shitty feeling, is my calves just feel HORRIBLE.. today i finally decided to ice them, wrapped them incredibly tight in a good ice pack, 10 minutes each calve, they felt so much better after that and still do.. definitely need to get back on that.

i feel best when i do my high rep lifting sessions, regardless of how i do them.. but i have to stretch before and/or after to really get that light feeling in my body to the max.. when i stretch + high rep (LTMP-VOLUME), i feel amazing.. when i stretch + singles (LTMP-SINGLES) it's mixed, sometimes i feel great, sometimes i feel shitty, but i seem to feel shittier and shittier as the days go on without LTMP-VOLUME sessions.. the cardio-lift sessions i've been doing, are definitely doing me good lately with my body composition goals, and i do feel "Better', but they have intensified my calve achyness issues, but that might be ok now with multi-day icing treatments.

ok just getting that out, because today sucked, i feel horrible, landed my best reverse though and some ok dunks, but given how i feel and how i just couldn't get into 4th gear, it pisses me off so damn bad because things could have been alot more productive had i resolved these issues already.

if they don't bother you, then they can be a nice bodyweight exercises to get some kind of strength stimulus if you don't have access to weights.. if you have access to weights i'd stick with walking lunge/BSS/stepups.

i actually hurt my knee pretty bad doing full ROM pistols way back hah.
