i said it a few posts back but i'll say it again:

imagine if Bekele had gotten the marathon WR..

he'd have the current 5k, 10k, and marathon WR.

 :o :o :o

btw, 2nd place went under 2:03.

pretty crazy.

it's kind of odd but then, not so much. women haven't been smashing records, but dudes have been. you'd think if it was the shoes helping this much, that it'd benefit the women as well.

https://olympics.nbcsports.com/2019/09/29/berlin-marathon-results/

1st through 3rd ran crazy times. then 4th is 2:06:45.

Bekele wasn't even in the lead the whole race.. he had to catch Lemma & Legese (who was running out of his mind, on WR pace). Then Bekele eventually drops Legese at ~35 KM and maintains WR pace, Legese drops off a bit but still goes under 2:03 (which is a very big deal).

The fact that 3 guys were on WR pace @ ~35 km is nuts tho.. When Kipchoge got his WR last year, he dropped everyone at like 20km or something.

marathon is changing.

still can't believe it. incredible.

imagine if he got that WR? he'd have the current 5k, 10k, and marathon WR's.

he's the greatest runner of all time, that's for sure. Kipchoge is still the greatest marathon runner of all time. I'd love to see them battle it out again soon.

also, I ordered this singlet last week, good decision -> it's been worn for the marathon WR, half marathon WR, and now second fastest marathon ever. :ninja: :ninja: :ninja: :ibrunning:

been busy af.

been jacknobbering the last 3 days. really tearing apart my adductors/hamstrings, in a good way potentially.

felt those spots in my muscles as i was running today. but instead of feeling worse after, i felt great. good sign.

bw after run: 141

- decent for not having run in like over 7 days
- as mentioned above, felt spots in my muscles that ive been hitting hard with the jacknobber .. trying to break up whatever is going on in there, that's causing them to be tight. this has been going on for years i imagine. but got worse with injury. so, main mission right now is to somehow restore function there. i have some excruciating spots in my adductors.. i can hit most areas and everything is fine, then bam, too much pain. good that im identifying more spots now.

This might might be my next thing - if I can stomach the cost, but there are some cheap Chinese knock offs...

i know someone who really likes the hyperice (or hypervolt) not sure if they are the same. gives it some decent praise.

coleman destruction, 9.76.

AND, GATLIN GETS SECOND. man that is CRAZY. huge race by Gatlin. he's been running "awful lately" then pulls this out (@ 37 years old). epic.

100m:

Coleman, insane performance. 9.76

W 10000m:

Hassan is basically Mo Farah, but potentially better.. dominant at 1500m, 5000m, 10000m, 13.1.

100m:

no one on Coleman's level in these World Championships. Noah would have been close.

Coleman cruised the end of his semi 100m & still hit 9.88.. :o The finals are coming up in a few hours.

400m hurdles:

omfg can't wait for the finals in a few days. the WR is definitely going down.

Worholm ran 48.X coasting out the last ~150m it was nuts.

Worholm vs Rai vs Samba, going to be SICK.

10k:

Can't wait for the women's 10k finals tonight.

Hassan! :wowthatwasnutswtf:

W Marathon:

women's marathon was nuts. i think 28 women quit? the heat was insane, i think it's 110F+ heat index?

the outdoor stadium has "AC" (huge fans blowing). so apparently it's not as bad on the track. but lots of people saying the fluctuations in temperatures (warmup areas <-> track) is really rough.
