OMG NASSER BEAT MILLER-UIBO AT 400M DAMN. 48.16

insane.

nasser is solid, i knew she could potentially give uibo a run for it.. but still expected uibo to get it done.

uibo got caught slipping. she had no idea nasser was about to be even with her coming into turn 3.. by that time it was too late. incredible.

Wow Michael Norman last place in his heat.

hoping Kerley gets the championship, fan of that dude.

He'll be back. Michael Johnson had similar setbacks at the start of his career.

yup. he played it smart.

that "special" berlin footage that Tom Hiver puts out.

seeing Bekele chase down Legese in this footage, is incredible.

I heard Spence Jr / Porter was FOTY.

niice!

It was a great fight but spence showed he can fight any style. he was the more accurate aggressive fighter but it wasn't easy. shawn moved around, hit him and roughed him up and errol had the face to show for it, but errol spence was clean and throws concentrated hits while shawn he would go rough and try go wild at times and missed a lot but knew how to move out of danger and sometimes would get caught midway. but great fight notheless.

ya damn. im going to find it soon and watch it.

porter is such a skilled brawler. im never impressed with his boxing skills but always impressed that he makes every fight tough, for whoever it is he's fighting.

spence got them skills tho.

close call with gizmo tonight. still freaked by it. lucked out.

quick recap:
1. walking the pups down a quiet street (north/south).
2. ~100 yards from palmetto (cars go 50+ mph, very busy road) (west/east).
3. someone's dogs just bumrush a weak fence and my dogs freak.
4. by the time i realize it, a few seconds later, gizmo is ~40+ yards from me, running full speed towards palmetto.
5. so i had to hit the afterburners with james to catch him.
6. i didn't even know i was running with james.. i just reacted into a full speed sprint knowing he was closing in on the busy street. kind of had that "impending doom feeling", and just went all out.
7. once i got to him, about 20-30 yards from the street, he finally stopped and i also realized james had been flying with me.

was insane. never had that happen to me before.

luckily he was running with the leash attached, it probably slowed him down a bit. even so, he was flying with it dragging against the ground. normally gizmo doesn't even move if i'm not holding the leash, he hates it dangling on the ground etc. he'll just freeze. but this incident freaked him so bad he just took off.

whenever i'm by a road with cars, i hold the leash tighter, just in case something like that happens. so i was kind of holding it relaxed because we were in such a quiet spot. never in a million years would i expect him to freak AND just take off non-stop. now i'll be more aware of that.

i'm still surprised/baffled at how far he was, only a few seconds later. i mean he was def very far from me, it was insane. a true holy shit moment.

so lucky.

after that ~15 mile track, best ive felt afterwards. nothing tightened up for 2 days. something is tightening up very slightly so, hitting it hard w/ jacknobber. planned to run 20 miles tmw, but going to some meetup. so, def will try to do a long run thursday.

injury could be clearing up after 8 months total, but not sure yet.

Noah Lyle has lost his form a bit lately, but it's still beast enough to be world champion.

depressing.

As somebody suffering from Achilles issues I particularly feel his plight! Hopefully his Achilles recovers and team USA expand their health insurance and stick to one system.

yup.

the sad irony of someone (who has already been on team usa several times), racing through "tears" (achilles pain) to keep health insurance.

ridiculous.
