Nope, I definitely also feel it in my glutes. Because of the posterior chain, from calf muscles, which I keep my knees locked and that places stress on my hamstring and that connects to my glutes, which gets sore too.

So you are not alone. But since its body weight calf raises, it makes sense for the glutes to fatigue quicker as the calf muscle has high endurance rate then the glutes.

So my hip has been acting strange, I can squat deeply now with body weight with no sharp pains or any pains whatsoever just can feel tiny stress at the hip joint, which is normal on a hip based exercise like the squat. But for some reason the pain of the hip is still there. It would pain at certain positions i sit e.g. when you sit on the floor with the shin under you and if you lean back the stretch of the quads connected to the hip would pain mildly. When I move my leg in the lateral direction, meaning sideways bending at the hip, then is this pain at the side of my hips. Or sitting cross legged and you lean at certain positions the hip would act but a little change in the direction of lean would not pain.

So I was wondering, is it safe for me to get back in the gym to do squats, light ofc and progress slowly, or wait until the pain has gone completely out of my life lol.

OMFG I was just watching the highlights and I thought the sea hawks were gonna win but the patriots managed to get it to over time and steal it.

is during overtime first one to score wins?

damn patriots stole the win.

seahawks didn't play bro!! :D

falcons.

but nah, american football overtime works like this now (it used to be sudden death, first to score):

if the first score is a touchdown, that team wins
if the first score is a field goal, the other team has a chance to tie with their own field goal or win with a touchdown
after this, any other score wins the game

i think it can end in a tie after 1 overtime, in the regular season. I imagine they'd play two in the superbowl.

patriots earned that win. everyone thought they were toast after the first half.

pC!

lol where the fuk did i get sea hawks from is beyond me. I meant atlanta falcons.

I will chose this team from now on.

awesome. Its been a while since federer had a win.

When it comes to wimbledon roger federrer will find it hard to win against the aggressive players like djokovic, murray or others.

Boxing / Carl frampton vs santa cruz rematch
« on: February 02, 2017, 08:07:24 pm »
Wow, that was some damn awesome match, I'm so happy for santa cruz. He had a better game plan. He knew how to avoid the hits from frampton. He would come close to make frampton miss then back up and then hit.

Frampton was not easy, far from it. He was still the same aggressive fighter and the results a md again lol.

Mikey garcia fight was awesome too, he knocked out zlatican, brutal ko. Mikey garcia great fighter.

Great fight.

Just like you have knee support braces or ankle support braces, but is there anyway to wrap or put anything as a hip support as i sprained my hip for trying to squat 60kg last week and now its been painful to do certain things without the pain coming up, I was wondering is there any sort of support for the hip flexor.

I can comfortably squat 60kg up to 3 inches above parallel but any lower then my hip starts screaming.

no. rest.

x2, do not mess around with hips. Those injuries can become chronic, very fast.

Also avoid anything that aggravates it, especially deep squatting with heavier weight.. hip injuries usually take a long time to heal, and it's so easy to experience a setback.

:/ sucks man.

when moving around such as lifting leg up high to climb on something or when lifting my leg up it aggravates it. So hard to not aggravate it. But I def will avoid deep squatting. Just up to point where it doesn't hurt like 3 inch above parallel.

thanks for the tip guys

Tuesday.
I did sprain my hip last week and it is sore when I go deep into squats, or extend it back. So had to be careful with the squats. Which I do 3 inches above a nice good parallel squat. Any lower and my hips just scream with pain.

Empty 20kg bar jump squats 3 x 5
squats 3 x 6 @ 50kg
RDL 1x6 @ 80kg, 2 x 6 @ 100kg
Calf Raises 3 x 20 @ 100kg

Wednesday did some runnings, 5 x 50m, it was sub zero degrees the temperature outside for a while now, so it is hard to walk 30min in the cold to the gym/track and do my sessions. unless its a gym session  then i can relax once i reach inside and get warm.

Today was the same as tuesday but instead I did 80kg, the same weight which I tried to do at a nice depth and caused a sprain on my hip, doing 3 inches above parallel is very comfortable.

Weight: scale is low battery.
Injury: sprained hip.

Comment: its been cold week and I'm starting to get into the groove of training and can try and keep it constant.
