finally decided to put some weight in my weighed vest, been wearing it for an hour, pretty fun.. going to long distance walk with it soon

it's only 12 lb but ifeel that extra weight for sure... quads/calves/glutes feel to be working harder just from walking around with this thing.

happy bday dude, we're approaching the big 3-O!  :uhhhfacepalm:

thanks alot man, hah ya, will be fun to try and jump higher as i get older.

thanks alot lance, surprised u didnt use a GWS pic for that.. hah

still love that pic, thanks lbss@!#

happy birthday mang, I couldnt find any funny pic so I leave you this one from a board of a teather I saw in Argentina

what is that? lmfao.. what kind of teacher? why does a teacher have a board like that wtf?

thanks alot guga!

happy birthday boss. this gonna be a year of improvement getting closer to breaking those teeth on the rim. all jokes aside you the best trainer out there man.

one thing that'd be great man is if you could write some stuff about speed training. that'd mean a lot to me cuz i take your word seriously. something like what you did with the single leg jumper's toolbox. shit was dope. peace man.

thanks alot speedstik.. hope i do break some teeth on the rim, gotta get lighter + much stronger to do so ;F

ya man i been meaning to blog more just havnt.. if you want to get crazy fast (past 20m), become a beast on natural glute ham gastroc raises... ie natural ghr's etc, like the one on my adarqtv account.. that's one of the best indicators of potential for speed imo.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAYNE!!    29 Reps!    :personal-record:
The best is yet to come.......and the worst.  ;D

Hope u have a good one.

29 reps, lool.

thanks fedexpress!

Happy birthday man!

thanks steven-miller!@ hope your knee heels up quick.

Hey andrew,

long time no chat

happy bday btw

quick training question if cool?:)

just then i did 175kg times 5 trap bar deadlift on blocks (about kneeish high) rack DL if you will

Im 6 foot 3

about 88 to 90kg (200lbs ish) and

looking at your PR vid of 315lbs times 5 at 145lbs

i thought i would try this and adjust weights by adding my extra bodyweight 55lbs or so (385lbs times 5) which i did.

I also looked at your bottom leg position too which my trap DL replicates angle wise

and trying to keep spine neutral

SO phew:)

just wondering, my back feels ok now, but how do feel this would compare for vert leap benefit in comparison to your half squats that you do? ( i dont have ready access to a power rack btw)

keep up the great site and work:)

jon

thanks for the birthday wishes.. as for trap bar, it's definitely very similar to my half squat style lift, the biggest difference is how motor unit activity is initiated & the eccentric portion of the lift etc.. with half squatting, its pure leg/hip drive and there's that lowering of the bar controlled for the eccentric, which is a crucial part of the lift, because then you have that reversal point etc.. not sure how you're trap barring but i doubt you are slowly lowering, could be wrong though.. regardless, if you get significantly stronger by trap barring, it'll transfer over to vert.. because it's still leg/hip strength that you're improving.

adarqui, replicate how T-DUB is running/lining upto the basket. Then your on your way to producing masses amount of full-body elastic energy.

There is no great T-DUB coil or spiralling of the myosin filaments from that position your in within that pic.

See the guy with the red shorts in the pic?, he is facing in the same direction how T-DUB is setting up when he plants.

In that pic from your last dunk session, your feet/legs/torso have to be pointing to the right wall (the direction the guy in the red shorts is facing), IF your to replicate T-DUBS super dunk/action/elastic energy development.

Watch the vid, watch where T-DUBS left foot/legs/torso plant & look where the camera is at. He is completely face on (facing the right wall in your dunk picture). Overtime this coiling will generate huge amounts of elastic energy especially in the achilles tendons & throughout the entire body.

i understand exactly how t-dub jumps..................... but again:

again, why do i have to replicate t-dub's jump when i could replicate GC/YH/AUT's jump?

Trolling?.

I posted you the quote. Can't really make it any clearer.

Quote

^ 'as the descending weight'.   T-DUBS bodyweight.
'twists in the bands on the way down'.   T-DUB planting/torquing.

'it enables the muscle to store high amounts of elastic energy'.

15276
sickenin, do u think people can just change their technique to jump like t-dub? ie, mimicking his runup speed/plant etc?

lol ya that pic is funny

15278
wait, t-dub has a secret technique to jump insane? who taught it to him? or does he do it naturally? and if people incorporate this spiraling technique, how many instant inches can they expect?.

It's not really a secret technique.

All T-DUB is doing is squaring up his body/feet to the basket (increasing elastic torque throughout his whole body, mainly achilles tendons) enjoy being a rare freak of nature, as opposed to you who dunks mainly head on.  Your not storing & releasing any elastic energy dunking that way the vast majority of people that have to work their asses off under the squat bar hoping to reach just some decent percentage of his inhuman natural strength/power levels.

T-DUBS secret lies in his Achilles tendons due to all the winding/twisting his body imparts on them when he plants his feet through 100's/1000's of dunks genetics , all he has to do is get off the couch and jump 50''. Whatever he does , boingvert , air alert , backpedal bike , abs&stretch ( AUT ) will seem to work and gain him inches.

There is no way performing weighted calf raises can compete in terms of generating elastic energy with the technique/forces T-DUB generates when planting/dunking. (Refer back to the quote in OP/watch vid) anyone sane would believe that being probably the best jumper/dunker in the whole word has to do with some ankle rotation.

Bam.

Fixed

perfect.

BAM.

im confused, t-dub squares up to the basket, yet i dunk head on, which makes no sense, because dunking head on is squaring up to the basket..

what's even more confusing, is the fact that i don't dunk head on, i rotate into my plant and my feet are usually pointed to the left of the rim/basket.

here's a pic from last dunk session:

here's a pic from today:

explain to me how i jump square? i rotate hard into my plant..

t-dub is never squared to the basket....  maybe you should stop talking out of your ass and post exact examples of what you're trying to talk about... http://www.adarq.org/forum/crazy-weird-analysis-stuff-)/various-jumpers-plants/

you know who adarqui plants like in that thread? AUT/GC.. similar plant on my best jumps.. you notice how most of the people in that thread don't plant at all like t-dub, yet still fly? that's because you have no fucking clue what you're talking about.

here, lemme help you..

not squared:

squared:

now explain to me how people who jump squared jump around just as high as t-dub? also explain to me how people who jump with a slight rotation (darlington/AUT/GC/YH etc) jump as high as t-dub?

lack of sleep is catching up with me, felt like i was going to puke for the entire dunk session, head foggy etc.. so lame so annoying.. gotta keep it up tho and fix this sleep schedule, gonna take a few more weeks i imagine until it's completely set in.

anyway landed some nice dunks, had a few nice jumps.. did like 45 dunks.. first dunk session of age 29 haha.

next session = thursday OUTDOOR... then hopefully sat or sun indoor at my fav indoor court, not 24h fitness.

Those VMOs are quite coming out right there...

ya i noticed that too, im a vmo king.

I don't get the "3 plates" thing though - why do you consider a 45 lbs plate "a plate"? Why not 55 lbs or another value?

because in usa, a 45 lb plate is considered "a plate"..

btw i been leg draining every night for last 3 days, forgot to log it

8/15/2011

bw = 145
soreness = calves
aches/injuries = right hammy, left hammy slightly, STILL SOME GREEN MUCOUS
diet = 295 x 5 hsq rested max no warmup, 3 hour walk,  PB + 6 egg burrito,  315 x 5 hsq rested max no warmup, pb, bw-exercises{calve-raises=100, pushups=45, glute-bridges=180}, 25 min leg drain

happy about today.. hopefully my hamstrings feel better tomorrow so i can dunk, wanna dunk early, dno if ill go indoor (24hr fit) or outdoor.. prolly indoor, got an itch for indoor lately.

pC

lots of misses, overall weak sesh but some real nice jumps in there at times.

huge PR!@!$!@

315 x 5 RESTED MAX NO WARMUP @ 145 !!!!!!!!!!!

strong set too......................

rendering vid immediately and uploading, shoulda used my good cam haha..
