Chavez Jr vs Canelo was one of the worst fights i've ever seen.. Chavez Jr is nowhere near Canelo's class, we all knew that. He couldn't even just say F it and throw some bombs. Canelo stood the entire fight (in between rounds - it actually looked like it was making him tired), but still made it look like a sparring session. My only hope going into this fight, was that Canelo would KO Chavez Jr brutally.. Chavez Jr has a strong chin though, but I figured he'd get so tired and take so many shots, that maybe it could happen.. He was just in there to survive though, so didn't open himself up much.

Canelo put on quite a performance.. So sharp, beautiful counters/combos, excellent jab. I hope he sits between rounds vs GGG though.... HEH.

Can't wait for Canelo vs GGG.. that should be a very interesting fight.  :wowthatwasnutswtf: :wowthatwasnutswtf: :wowthatwasnutswtf:

OMG I was literally only paying attention to julio cesar Chavez only hoping he would land some good hits or use his size as an advantage but he did nothing he was letting canelo hit him. To such an extent canelo put himself on the ropes to let julio do what he "supposedly" does best and even that he couldn't do anything. canelo deserves an apology from Chavez for such a poor performance and I wouldn't blame Mexican fans if they switched to canelo camp. The worst fight ever. Before it was hmm julio cesar is tall but now its 'wat a mismatch, who is julio, what did he do to deserve this, I'm thinking he was used as a stepping stone but turned out to be a sparring session.

Julio was never good and never will be good.

But atleast the announcement of ggg vs canelo was the only bright point of the match. Can't wait. Canelo is soo tough and can take punch really well I don't know if golovkin may be able to upset him. Especially how Jacobs exposed him.

Also this match before would have deserved its own thread but now it doesn't. There were some points where Chavez got aggressive but then stopped. man wat a bad match, its the complete opposite of the klitschko vs Joshua fight, it was the same in greatness but in the opposite direction, great disappointment.

1 month physio is finished and I went to the gym today.

Did some hip mobility stretches - single leg glute brige, lying with knees bent and moving the left knee outwars as far as possible, which is just a few cm above ground and below it will pain my hip.

Hip stretches

Empty bar squat jumps 3 x 5

Wide stance deep squats with pause at bottom, I went down to a point where I couldn't go no further where the point where if i pass it would pain my hips. so just enough to feel stretch and little pain. 3 x 3

Empty bar squats just did a bunch, when I did it there was no pain and when i reached reps 8-10 my hip had a mildy sharp pain. so had to stop. It wasn't injury becuse i could rest and then squat again with little pain to none. So was annoyed that pain was still there when i did 10 reps of empty bar squats.

did some calf raises and thats it.

Went home to foam roll my sore hip area. applied some heat rub.

It's annoying when you get this niggling pain that won't go away and the only thing i can think of is either stretch it or foam roll it. but it doesn't go away.

Best heavy fight in ages. The thing i liked about this is that klitschko came back in the round after his knockout to deliver a kitchen sink :p to joshua and knock him out.

Most people thought he wouldn't be able to get up from the knockdown but he did and then reserved his energy up to 10 and 11 and just delivered an onslaught.

I think thats the way to beat klitschko who is good at counter punching and is very cautious and you have to force the pace and charge at him it confuses him, hit to the body slows him down especially his age, def not saying age was the reason why klitschko lost but it was aj's determination.

Most heavyweights i have seen is slow people and slow hitting and now i seen this which i loved.

Boxing / Klitschko vs Joshua (Spoilers Hidden) A must see fight

OMMMFFFGGGGGG    YEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!     ONE OF THE BEST FIGHTS I HAVE EVER SEEN AND IT LIVED UP TO ITS HYPE A 100%
90,000!!!!! FANS.

:motherofgod:   :trolldance: :trolldance: :trolldance: :trolldance: :headbang: :headbang: :D :D :wowthatwasnutswtf: :wowthatwasnutswtf: :ibjumping: :ibsquatting: :motherofgod: :motherofgod: :motherofgod: :trolldance:

I am just sooo happy I was literally shouting and screaming towards the end of the fight. The best fight I have ever seen with action and anticipation and drama.

Let's recap of what happened. SO.

First few rounds anthony joshua and klitschko not doing much testing and just being cautious, I felt as if anthony joshua was nervous and then in round 5 i think bam joshua comes in gun blazing and then does damage and knocks klitschko down, OMG at this point i am excited, but klitschko lands a counter and makes joshua dizzy. I didn't see the counter and I was thinking wow did he tire himself out that much that he was basically just not defending and just was a sitting duck and luckily klitschko was fazed by the barrages of punches and could not put joshua out who basically standing there ready to be knocked out but realized klitschko landed and was hoping the round ends quick. Then next round more drama and more scares klitschko with that sharp right hand, which he is always loading up to land and joshua always doesn't see it coming and is knocked out omg and for the rest of the round joshua is getting hit and has to survive and I was hoping he does. Even the next round klitschko starts on the attack and joshua again just could not do anything but try survive. So joshua plans to rest the next round be inactive and then in the last round OMG I am soo excited the barrages of punches and that punch that hurt klitschko and that deadly upper cut from the left hook which goes over klitschko and somehow joshua manages to bring in an uppercut to wobble klitschko, klitschko goes down he is too dizzy to even go to referee but referree continues and then again another knockdown. OMG the amount of times i was shoting at this point. Joshua just had to finish it and then the stoppage. TKKOOO!!!!!!.  So happy for joshua.

This fight will go down in heavy history for sure because of the anticipation and drama and its been a long time since klitschko been stopped and joshua pulls off a tko victory over klitscko. Klitschko's hands are powerful the way he jumps/steps into his punches def steel fists. But joshua digged deep and put him away. Its how bellew was saying to use his youth and just force the pace and thats what he did.

Victory.

BEst fight i have seen and even yet a fight which mayweather vs pacquiao failed to produce. This is what i wanted to see in that may pac fight.

Heavyweight boxing was the foundation of where boxing highlights of the past and that glory has returned back to the division with such an enormous victory. Congrats to Joshua.

So much to say but woowww amazing fight.   :wowthatwasnutswtf:  :headbang:

Porter is good for sure, but man he's hard to watch.. That mauling style isn't pretty.

All that head butting :(

Reminds me of Bradley Jr.. as much as I love Bradley, too many head butts.. Porter & Bradley make for very dirty/ugly fights. Their opponent should have the option to wear head gear.

Ye, I don't like those type of fights where they don't fight smart and it's not really a toe to toe but a rumble style (don't know the word) where it results in hold and being tangled up all the time, when they both try to destroy they just jump in.

Quote
Shawn Porter is probably the classiest interview, especially post-fight, that you will ever see. It's funny how he can go from headbutting psycho pitbull, to nicest guy in the world.

lol true

Damn! That KO was savage. Especially how he set it up, through the damaging blows to the body and combos to body then to head, just really bad.

jermall charlo is making his way up.

Jason sosa vs Lomachenk (spoiler below)

Slippery lomachenko is 2 words to describe that fight

His fight against sosa was so much one sided that it was unfair, he was practially bullying sosa, he was so confident in his defence that he can let his hands go and throw flurry of punches just to keep him on the defence like an annoying fly that won't go away, like a group of people who are poking you from all directions and you can't block all of them, that was lomachenko. I like that tactic, to throw punches to hit and to throw punches to keep them on the defence and when they are on the defence holes open up near the body and from the side of the head for offensive combo.

I don't know anyone who is good enough to fight lomachenko unless he moves up to 135 to fight mikey garcia. No need for rematch with salido, i was looking at his first fight the highlight and him coming in overweight by 11 pounds  :o (it seems you can't hide this lol) and this has really made lomachenko a better fighter as you he starts pointing out any low blows or dirty tactics from the other opponent.

It is going to be a close fight like the first one and I fear it could go anyway because I would like andre ward to win.

Wats an effective type of foam roller to buy especially for the hips but also effective for general tight muscle relief.

general foam

trigger point therapy

rumble roller.

I was thinking of going with the rumble roller.
