It's suppose to aid in muscle growth and recovery by increase of growth hormones and test.  Could some nutrition guru's chime in?  And what's this i hear about it also increasing estrogen while it increases test?  and therefore you would need an aromatase blocker along with it if you're goign to take it.

Strength, Power, Reactivity, & Speed Discussion / What toad should i take?

Basically, I'm wondering what direction I should go for my squat routine.  I was told by steven-miller to do 3 sets of 5 reps adding 5 lb each time.  I did that and i kind of stalled at 265.

Then kingfish told me to go back down to 225 and do high volume like 8-10 reps, and work up to 4 sets of 10 reps!  So now i am doing 2-3 sets of 8 -10 @ 225.  I got up to 235 and could not manage 8 reps on 2nd set.

Then this powerlifter said I need to get on a routine or program.

This leaves me on a dilemna.  Thanks for your input and negs.

I was doing seated calf raises and all of a sudden my right calf freezes and something is pulling it and there is some pain (for some they would classify this as extreme pain.  I have high threshold for pain though). 

I look at it and my calf muscles are literally moving like it's jello, as if there is something inside my calf wiggling.  I could not continue.  AFter few min, it got better but it was very sore and would hurt just extending it.

The next day, it was still sore after I tried running and play bball on it.  I tried squatting and it didn't really effect calf muscle but this time during the middle of my squat, the tip of my quad muscle began to spazz out / cramp up.  Good thing was I managed to rack the weights or else I would have been in bad shape freezing up in the middle of my squat.

So what is going on?  I usually warm up but that doesn't matter, because I seem to cramp up towards the END of my work outs and I used to cramp up like this towards the END of bball games.  Could it be creatine? (heard that creatine doesn't cause cramps)  dehydration? i drink tons of fluid.

Nutrition & Supplementation / my body is not utilizing all this fat

My diet is very rich in protein and good fats, and carbs post workout.  I definitely eat very good.  Lots of seafood, chicken and steak.  However, my body doesn't seem to like to burn all this fat I have around the belly, chest, and mid body.  My legs are starting to look like olympic lifters, but I have so much fat stored up in upper body.

The problem is, the second I start to eat on a calorie deficit, my strength goes down.  For example, I was able to do 5 x 255 x 3 full paused 2 sec squats.  Then, I lost 3 lb in a week, and I could barely do 1 set of that now... on the 2nd set or 3rd set, I'd fail at rep 4 or 5 and get pinned.
