i dont think its all about the motor learning aspect.

most of the adaptations would come from synaptic facilitation.

same issue is covered in pavel's books, i think more in power to the people. pfaff talks about something simmilar, there are some organells in the myelin sheets, and basically the neural signal is 'lost' or not 100% of it gets to the muscle. through repetitive usage of that pattern, the organelles become like 'superconductors' and nothing is lost...vague explanation but makese sense somehow, ill try to find the exact interview.

ADARQ & LanceSTS - Q&A / Re: plan for offseason
« on: December 23, 2010, 05:15:40 pm »
i never got this: pack as much training volume in one workout as u can.

what do you think is better? doing 10*8 for exercise 1, 10*8 in exercise 2, and 10*8 in exercise 3    2 times a week?

or splitting that into 5*8, 5*8 and 5*8         4 times a week?

the latter seems to give the body more chances to recover, let u mentally and physically b more fresh for every workout etc...

id do the latter without thinking

well the deload is to be done only when you have 'over' worked your system...that is you fatigue ur cns and then you deload so you supercompensate....if you dont train 'hard enough' to fatigue your system, then there is no point deloading.

theres 2 cases why your squat may go down :
1) too little training in the period before - now you need to increase the training stimulus (more weight/more volume/more frequencey)
2) too much training in the period before - now you need a deload, so a decrease in the trianing stimulus

so in your case, if you want to use a deload, you need to train harder the weeks BEFORE that deload.

but if everyfing is working, why overcomplicate it?
