:uhhhfacepalm: I don't know anybody of any nationality that thinks the republicans do your country any good except for stupid fucking Americans. The Japanese hate republicans, the English hate republicans, the Irish hate republicans, the French hate repubicans (add in the rest of Europe), all the Africans I know hate the republicans...I could go on for days. Your countries political system is just a horrific mess. Theres really not a huge difference between America and China and Russia these days. You big countries are just a fucking horrific cluster fuck of a fucking mess...

ADARQ & LanceSTS - Q&A / Re: LR vs RL plant for Dunking
« on: February 14, 2011, 12:04:27 pm »
Pushing a Heavy object - Right foot forward
2-foot jump plant - LR
Kick - Left leg
Starting sprint stance - Right leg forward
1 foot jumping leg - Right leg

I'm right handed and jump much higher off my right leg than my left. Also, my handle (such as it is) is much better with my left hand than with my right. When I do jumps at the rim I reach with my left hand, because my shoulder is higher on that side so I can reach higher.

The differences are huge, too. I was never much of a soccer player but when I'm messing around left leg is a lot more powerful and a LOT more dexterous (see what I did there?) than right. Even popping a basketball up to myself off the ground, left foot is automatic. Dribbling with my left hand is MUCH more comfortable than with my right hand, although admittedly I suck at both. LR plant is probably twice as good as RL plant, shit just gets awkward when I try to go RL. Sprint isn't quite so much of a difference in terms of which foot starts forward, but in a race I would definitely do right foot forward.

Interesting thread.

Shit is just confusing bro...you sure you ain't left handed...lol. Maybe your partially ambi-dexterous or something....or maybe ambi-sinister!!!

wtf....i'm the complete opposite...
I do everything with my left leg..in terms of one foot jumping i'm waaaaaaaaay smoother off my left leg...probably 'cos i've been doing that for years tho..most right handed ballers I know are left leg jumpers...

There benefit gets diluted because if your body has already filled it's need for the vitamins and other compounds in bananas it's more than likely gonna have you get rid of em. If possible you should def be eating at least 5 different fruit and vegs a day. If you eat 2-3 bananas that's fine but you should still be eating 4 other different fruits or vegetables.

.. whenever i write gatorade, it's quarter of a scoop and i've only been doing that since AFTER i got staph, to help down my cephalexin pills.......

Well that makes a world of difference! I was thinking you were downing 2-3 bottles of gatorade a day! Anyway dude, i'm still saying you need to get some fish/fish-oil, vegetables and a variety of fruits in there. Banannas are great but their benefit gets diluted to down the more frequently you eat them. But yea, you're right, it's not as bad as I thought it was!

Go back over your log for the past 2 weeks and count the amount of gatorades and fast-food entries you got in there man. I'm just going by what i'm seeing.

And dark chocolate ain't bad for you..once it's real chocolate! Anyway i'm just giving you my opinion on it man. You helped me out and I wanna help you out. I do know about this stuff- I've studied immunology, nutrition and biochemistry all in depth. I went to one of the most renowned schools for immunology and biochem in the world. I thought the whole idea behind the site is athletes tryna help each other out and that's what i'm tryna do. I don't want you to take it the wrong way bro. I'm sticking by my guns though - i'm betting your diet ain't doing you any favors in the health department.

As for your fat intake - you've got pretty much zero intake of EPA and DHA. Two essential fatty acids that your body basically can't produce by itself.

Eating a bunch of bannanas ain't gonna give you the same health benefit as eating a selection of fruits and vegetables either. I think the reccomendation set in America is for 5 different fruit and vegetables a day. I've read the reviews and journals by the people who set these guidelines and basically they are telling you to eat that much 'cos they know if they tell you to eat the proper amount you'll just give up 'cos it's too much. The guidelines set in Japan, for example, are much higher. It's like over 10 portions of different fruits and vegetables a day.

Bottom line - any nutritionist, or health scientist or doctor worth their salt, would look at your diet and say it's not optimal for a normal person or an athlete.

I can't say whether it is or not..i'm not a doctor and I can't take your bloods or do tests on them to see. Any diet where the majority of your calories are coming from processed foods (Gatorade, candy, pizza, Fastfood Chicken Sandwiches, refined carbs and i'm sorry to say you can include protein shakes in that list too) is not a good diet. You should be eating real food dude. More vegetables, fruit, meat, nuts, grains and starchy vegetables too. Anything that grows naturally - plant or animal - and ain't been fucked with - that's what you wanna be eating. You're getting way too many calories from sugars and processed carbs. Your fat intake is majorly screwed from what it should be too...I know you're dropping weight and that's great for vert training but the way you're eating ain't gonna do wonders for you immune system or your bowels man! Just being real.

The great thing about this website is we got you and other people who have knowledge in different areas. People like me can go to you for advise about that. Biochemistry and nutrition is what I know about and i'm telling ya man - Your diet ain't doing you any favors.

Adarq - As much as I love the website and what you're doing for everyone - and I gotta say this too, so don't be pissed at me, your diet just ain't healthy man. Not by a longshot! If it was playing a significant part in you being sick/not feeling I wouldn't be suprised!

24
It's not as simple as that. Loosing 5% of your weight won't necessarily increase your vert by 5%. Having extra weight ain't going to help but I wouldn't hold out on a one or two inch gain if I was you. You might get it and you might not.

It should get better by itself eventually. Most illnesses do otherwise people would be dropping off left, right and centre. It's better to go to a doctor when they'll let you but don't worry too much man. You'll probably be fine.

That shit is stupid man. Doctors and the medical system are a fucking mess. Anyway dude, best thing to do right now is relax and wait it out. I'm pretty confident you're not dying - have some faith in your body dude! It ain't gonna just let some little infection overrun it!

Haha...love the big dude watchin ya.

FWIW, most bacterial infections are gonna be staph or strep and the vast majority are not serious.  But if you're getting recurrent infections you've got to get to the bottom of why your immune system is weak at the moment.

WORD. Don't worry man. Get to the doctor if you can. If not you're a healthy dude, if you weren't you wouldn't be able to put in all the work you do. Your body would shut down. I'm pretty sure it's not gonna be the end of Adarqui!

Staph infection doesn't equal MRSA. Also the common cold and flu can lead top organ and tissue damage. Doesn't mean that always or even usually do.
