Ah I seem to have written something confusing contraction wasnt the word I was probably looking for,
What he said was basically I could hammer the ground and move patches of grass, but driving my leg up was not as powerful as bringing it down.

I see. For that you will need to strengthen your hip flexors and knee flexion.

Welcome Ryhan!

This is a great place to be if your goals include speed and vert. I recommend you read this: http://www.adarq.org/forum/performance-training-blog/free-training-free-customized-athletic-programming-free-online-coaching/

Once you have read that, please head over to the journal section and create your own training journal! Adarqui can best help you if your first post in the journal contains a completed version of the form in the thread I linked above.

Good luck with your training!

You have a strong squat for your weight.

"Ive been told by my coach that I run slow because my pushing is far stronger than my contraction."

If that is verbatim what your coach said, that makes no sense at all. A contraction is required for any movement, pushing included. Perhaps he meant rate of force development (RFD) or reactivity?

yes but can you do 60 mayweather situps, then i'd be impressed :D

what do they look like?? never herd of them...but i have started to arch my back and do sit ups...makes it harder and i feel that it helps my core for squat

yea i know those are hard...if i trained for a long time (maybe 2-3months) i could possibly do those...but are they really that important?

Not really, but 60 would be beastly

Progress Journals & Experimental Routines / Re: THE DREAM JOURNAL

Upon rereading my own dream I have realized that I had two dreams which melded into one another. The swimming pool scene was a bridge between the school dream and the ninja dream. I can remember far fewer details about the ninja dream that school dream, despite it being more "recent."

Can you sprint right now, or is all high impact foot stuff off the table?

All off the table until at least next week. My ankle feels strong enough to sprint but I'm trying to actually do what the PT says this time around, instead of trusting my own obviously untrustworthy self-perception. That means nothing high-impact until at least next week and maybe the week after.

Oh, well I hope you recover quickly.

Nice dream, Joe.

Two nights ago I dreamed that I was shaving. I finished and then realized as I was getting dressed that I had missed a spot just below my lower lip. I went back into the bathroom, shaved that spot and then as I was starting to get dressed again, I realized that I had missed a spot at the corner of my jaw. I felt very exasperated, but went back and fixed that. This happened several more times with various spots on my face and neck. Not a fun dream.

Hahaha. That would suck.

I had a really long and rather vivid dream.

I am in my school, except the lockers are like 1.5 times taller and a bit wider. I go to my locker, which happens to be next door to the classroom of my favourite teacher in 8th grade. We talk for a bit, then I tell him I have to go. I start walking away from the classroom when I encounter a friend of mine. We walk around looking ast all the changes from when  IWas last in school and talk for a while, then that day ends.

The next day I come into school again. I spend about 45 minutes running around looking for my locker, but cannot find it. I see a really fat teacher, who I remember having something to do with locker assignments, but she refused to help me, bitch. So, I go to my first class, which is econ, despite being where the science labs usually are, and tell my teacher I will be back as soon as possible after I find my locker.  I run outsifde the school, for some reason, and in place of the London landscape there is a skate park, a pool, bamboo trees, and a ninja temple. I run back to class with my backpack, and my teacher tells me to sit wherever I want. I sit with a few of the people I hang out with in real life. The class was supposedly economics, but we spent the entire time debating legal and moral matters and being taught about the procedure of law. That went on for a while, there was even a formal debate. I leave that classroom and look out a nearby window: night had fallen. I go to my next class, bodybuilding 101, heh. It takes place at an indoor swimming pool. We split into groups, and for some reason Seth Rogen is in one of the other groups (he was also sitting in the back of my econ class). Brucelee, from this forum is in my group. Each group has to come up with a rap and a posing routine then dive in the pool. When it is my groups turn I start rapping and posing, but no one else does, and Brucelee walks away looking really sad. So I get out of the pool, and am suddenly dressed again. I follow Brucelee, but before I catch up with him my friend who I sat with in econ class joins me. He is short, Chinese and really good at parkour (in real life). We go outside, but Seth Rogen and his group from the bodybuilding class stop us, nothing really happens, we just talk and then leave. By the time we catch up with Brucelee we are at the Ninja Temple. Brucelee looks really sad. The ninja temple is on a hill about 100 metres above everything else, with trees that look like a hybrid between palm and bamboo growing all around it. Brucelee jumps off the side, only to be caught by a branch of one of the trees. My parkour doing friend dives down and saves Brucelee. The dream ended there.
