Yeah I agree the side bar is somewhat annoying, especially as the whole forum name doesn't get into it and you see "...", but then again you can't afford to lose screen real-estate viewing the entire name so...

right that's why i have the ellipses '...' i'd rather it be pretty small.

i changed the color on it so to make it a little less eye catching, except for the highlighted tabs.

But it's also useful, I takes away from having to watch around and see what forum has new messages into it.

yup, i've come to find it very useful.. for example, i just woke up, there was 7 active tabs, just clicked through each one looking at the new threads.. very fast nav.. i need to add those mods to it that siefullaah proposed.

Probably anxiety related ^^^

maybe..

i do remember it being very cold (hospital setting), and i was ~147/~7% body fat, absolutely shredded (had been shivering on occasion like a little wet dog)

probably had something to do with it.. lul

The thing that kills me if I saw this progress yesterday I would never have broken my diet lol. The whole reason I lost motivation was out of frustration at the lack of progress on the scale. Anyway i'll start from scratch today, lets finish this thing.

yup, make sure you're looking at the real data before you get frustrated.. your mind will easily play tricks on you to get you to stuff your face.

regardless, sticking to your diet more often than not is still effective.. sometimes you need to just give in and cheat.. if for some reason a day of cheating leads to 6 days of motivation, then it served an effective purpose.

i'd cheat 1-2x/week when leaning out.. but that's 5-6 days of staying focused.. everything depended on my 'stomach shrinking' though.. as i stuck with it, i'd need less food to satisfy me, even with the cheats, so it just adds up throughout the week and you get that good fat loss..

i honestly loved the fasted or non-fasted long walks to help with the fat loss.. sucks that it's making you feel achy etc.. cycling your legs a bit more, on occasion or for some significant duration, really helps to loosen up those quads.

Boxing / Re: great boxing tonight - lots of beatdowns

I don't see why Ward would move up when he already beat the top light heavyweight. Bernard Hopkins already said he won't fight him because it'd be a boring fight (and he'd get destroyed), so who is he going to fight? Pascal, Cloud, Pavlik? lol

ya im just telling you what came out of his mouth though..

he said he wants pascal, HEH.

http://www.boxingnews24.com/2012/09/andre-ward-says-he-could-move-up-to-175-soon/

chavez jr wants to fight ward.. man he'd get RAPED.

Just give me Ward vs Sergio, the actual 2 top fighters.

i'd love to see that but, ward isnt going down.. he's actually going to move up.

fight will never happen unfortunately.

Takes my focus off the center of the screen. Doesn't help that its such an eccentric color. It's not a big deal, just a slight annoyance.

ya i was just thinking about getting rid of the color and just light graying it...

i kind of dont like the red colors in the forum either.. i dno, might grey those out also.

we'll see i have to keep fucking with it.

The side bar is just annoying. Sure it's useful but I'm so accustomed to the old forum and other forums.

calm down brabus, you'll be able to hide it eventually.

why is it annoying if it's useful? i just need to clean it up etc.

high blood pressure runs in my family, i've tested really high on a few occasions... really low on others, so i stopped caring.

i had ~160 over ~90 once during a 'fitness fair' that the hospital setup.. measured by two diff ladies.

i was in insane shape then too, that was when i boxed.. was very weird.

dr j is part of the original evo sport/arp people in mn. so he has been working with jay for a long time. i never posted any questions just thought he provided good insight. more than anyonelse was willing to share.

and yes it is a collection of posts. i left some questions in to provide some context.

honestly i didnt do anyreal editing, just thought it an interesting little read to share for people who are into jays stuff

ya i skimmed it and it was definitely interesting, seemed very practical instead of the usual mythical b.s.... i plan to really look at it soon when i get some time.

thanks for compiling that alexv.

interesting news: got let go yesterday (because of phone call from potential employer), received a job offer today, took it, doubled my salary & this company is crazy legit..

pretty happy, that year off plan where i re-dedicated myself to computers/programming while working a dead-end job has seemed to work exactly as expected.

Tell me more about this miracle 20 rep squat. Might give it a try during low intensity weight training, hopefully it will help me get faster :D

pc

check out the "MEBM", maximum effort beast mode blog article on this site.. in it's purest form, a 20 repper isn't really low intensity though.. it's 20 reps done with a 10-12RM, so that's pretty brutal.. however, preparation for that is simply 20 reps with 15+ RM etc.. still feels great, lots of blood flow, achieve fatigue if you go non stop etc.

MEBM style 20 reppers will definitely 'make you faster', but via the usual ideology of making you stronger.. the one nice thing about 20's is like raptor says, you can increase velocity on the reps since it's a 10-12 RM.. once you get around 15+ reps though, they can be pretty brutal.

Basketball / Re: A WHOLE BUNCH OF DUNKS AND SHIT.
« on: October 10, 2012, 07:51:36 pm »
I mean I get the "he's got a great structure for jumping" but as far as strength goes... I mean com'on...

Yes he might be very glute dominant and have some glute hypertrophy but seriously, this is the last guy you'd say he's got "some pretty strong legs". Yes yes, the Ziani story all over again.

even if he was doing that shit on 9' it'd be pretty impressive.. his coordination/style in the air is really sick.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RrDAPXzXpTY

Can somebody explain to me how THIS guy is jumping so high?

no idea, i was confused as well.. even if the rim is a LITTLE low perhaps, he's got some nasty hops and even MORE nasty movements in the air.. his style in the air is pretty nuts, and some of those dunks are just :o
