What the heck this makes it seem impossible to me. When I was 190lbs I was about 10% body fat. If I gained just a single pound of fat while going up to 200lbs, I would have been the same bf%?!?!

Well, I guess it makes it seem easier on the flip side. If I'm 200lbs and 12% bf, and when I go down to 190lbs but lose 4lbs of fat and 6lbs of muscle (think about it... losing more muscle than fat), I will have gone down to 10.5%.


So far in my cut I went from 200lbs to 195lbs without losing an ounce of strength. Actually, I've GAINED a tiny bit of strength but I feel the deficit is catching up to my recovery and will probably go back to baseline levels where I was at the start of my cut.

it just gives slow recovery and even if you actually are fully recovered, sub-optimal performance.

that is to say then you can increase your lifts with shitty recovery every day. just slower.
