i had a twisted dream last night though.... i was in some special forces unit, whatever.. and we were pinned down by sniper fire.. crazy intense.

awesome, he looks so rugged in that pic.. they have a few near this 'wealthy dog park' i go to, such impressive dogs. havn't seen them anywhere else though.

Theyre pretty rare in Texas too, the price (1200-1500 for a solid akc papered dog) + the old myths surrounding them made it that way.  Its still said over and over how they were bred to "kill lions", when the truth is they were bred to HUNT lions and keep them at bay until the hunters got there.  No dog can kill a lion but people thought this along with them being "uncontrollable".  The ridge is an adaptation from the wild dog they mixed into the breed and thats where that myth stems from.

Rhodesian's seem to command lots of respect, i never see any altercations involving them.

yea theyre dominant dogs, so athletic and energetic.  Ive never seen a puppy as fast as he is, its insane.

he grew so fast.. how much is he expected to weigh?

he'll weigh between 100-110 pounds full grown.  Hes a great dog around people, I take him to work with me and hes very friendly to everyone in the gym.

2 things about ridgebacks to always remember if youre thinking of getting one

1. ENERGY ENERGY ENERGY.....

2. They will cuddle the hell out of you any  chance they get.  Everyone I know that has one says the same thing, they are going to get in your lap every chance they get, so get used to it.

hah nice

any vids of him running? or vids regardless?

didn't know they were such cuddlers.

i feel you.. but, the subforums are logically categorized pretty good.. i'd rather not combine say, politics with off-topic.. that kind of stuff wouldn't be too good imo.

Yeah, i know its weird because that's the concept of the anonymous thread , posting without account, so that makes those threads spam-vulnerable.
I didn't check if you can block sub-threads from the feed. I mostly use the feed for quick access to the new posts and then the "Recent posts" from the main page and the "Show undead posts since your last visit" when logged on. One easy workaround is to subscribe to the "Recent posts" which does not include the anonymous threads.
Edit : Subscribing to "Recent posts" won't work , anonymous posts don't show in the main page listing but when you go to the actual page they do, FML
No big deal, just letting you know.

Certified adarq.org watcher, remember how i caught the google bots by just observing the posts count increase ratio  :wowthatwasnutswtf:

gj :D

ya i temporarily removed full anonymous posting... we can post, it'll show up as anonymous etc.. but i temporarily removed the ability of non-members to post.

i was kind of enjoying seeing how big that spam thread was getting though.. haha.

Yup^^^

Andrew is aware of it though... to me it's pretty annoying because I always see the hole as highlighted with new posts in the side bar.

true...

ok ok gotta fix it soon.
