maybe its fate?
 :P

 :ibsquatting:

ok so.. the good news is, today im like, ok im going to re-write the forum.. in nodejs

so first, i just search.. and i found this ridiculous nodejs forum.

i'm doing test migrations etc.. hopefully in the next few days we can play with some TEST migrated forum variation of it.. I won't just spring it on everyone obviously. It's so much fun though, every page is live updating, so fast, really nice clean simple responsive ui.. ;)

also i guess more good news for me is.. once we migrate over to this.. i'll have finally have some motivation to start lifting 'seriously' again.

with so much of my efforts dedicated to nerding out, it wouldn't be right not to use the 'new forum' to it's fullest capabilities.. ;f

only issues with new forum:

1. need better bbcode/post form
2. need to maintain all of the "OLD URLS" with "rewrites".. they wont actually be rewrites, but they'd be express/redis translations of the old urls to maintain those.. everything moving forward would be the new structure.
3. add in the upvote/downvote stuff

todos with forum:

- my built in evernote/notetree stuff
- possible 'blog/page' features for people who want to do some of that
- some of the training log enhancements
- better galleries/features for the random images/hot chix threads.. just a barrage of dimes in your face.

since this will all be in javascript (node.js), i can finally feel good adding some real code to the forum..

ok so it's basically 1 to 2 weeks worth of migrations before we possibly switch over.. it's not definite either.. but ya it's going to be alot of 'work' on the migration side of things.. it's fun tho so whatever.

pC!

oh no another 3 hour sleep night.

mayweather is a freak.

watching him in slow motion is pornography.

too bad mattysee's eye got wrecked.. fight changed immediately.. but danny garcia, man, such crisp fast punches.. brutal combos.

mayweather. i know basically nothing about boxing but the fact that mayweather has just two more fights than alvarez despite being 13 years older says to me that he's spent most of his career picking and choosing huge fights, and alvarez has fought a lot of subpar competition in quick succession. experience on big stage vs. elite boxers (even if never pacquiao) > experience on small stage vs. sub-elite boxers.

happy to be wrong and of course my analysis is worth approximately -$0.02.

gotta say, i'll be pulling for money. he's hilarious.

ya, pbf has handpicked a ton of opponents.. waited until they "got old" and out of their prime.

However, shotime is making him step up against younger talent, which is exactly what his career needed... and the thing is, i think that's just going to get floyd to step his game up to that next level.

man im so pumped

got this PPV loaded & cant wait to watch the fights.

i have mattyse by KO and floyd by decision (like usual).

I think mattyse is going to be able to catch garcia.. and i dont think garcia has ever had his chin tested against anyone with mattyse's power.

floyd is just going to clown canelo i think... canelo is WAY too slow to be able to get anything off.. only chance he has is when floyd gets cocky on the ropes.

In one of the all access episodes, canelo's camp says his personal best in the 800m is 3:30... EEK :f

nooooooooooo! i didn't get to watch that, I was going to watch it until now you told me.  :uhhhfacepalm: I always tell myself don't come on here before you watch a match else you will run in to spoilers, but today i forgot, damm nevermind, i'm not coming here until i have watched mayweather vs canelo no way am i going to forget that. lol

Dammn, he got knocked out, by the guy who has 8 losses especially to ponce de leon and he looked good in his match against ponce de leon. now you have already started and now you must finish.

what happened, did mares get lazy and caught off guard? or something else.

EDIT: Just watched it, what that was crazy....
abner mares was doing good especially a few seconds before he got knocked
he was controlling the action a few nice combos and then out of no where a knock out punch from gonzales, you were right, that was nuts, i didn't expect it from gonzales, even though he had the record of 1 round ko but with 8 losses i didn't think he would be able to pull it off with mares, and then the second one, woooww the number of left hooks to the jaw was just unbelieveable lol at the commentators " mama miah" and shouting at this lmao.

it was a good fight but shocking 1 rd kO.
 :wowthatwasnutswtf:

sorry for the spoiler man !!! :<

ill be more careful next time.. i think gonzalez was just very hungry and he's still pretty sharp.. he timed mares perfectly.. mares was probably a bit too confident.

One of the greatest comeback

Quote
1 Lasse Viren
Fell in the Olympic 10,000m final only to get up and win gold in a world record time. Munich, 31 August 1972

At the start of the Munich Games, Lasse Viren, a 23-year-old Finnish policeman from the small village of Myrskyla, was not widely known. Indeed, the heats of the 10,000 metres were his Olympic debut. But when he stumbled and fell just before the halfway mark in the final his chance of victory seemed to have gone. The Tunisian Mohamed Gammoudi (who had won the 5,000 metres at the 1968 Olympics) tripped over Viren and gave up two laps later. But the Finnish runner calmly got to his feet and chased his way back into contention, overtaking Britain's David Bedford, the long-time leader, to not only win the gold medal, but set a world record of 27min 38.4sec. Ten days later, he also won the 5,000m (in an Olympic record time) - a double that he repeated in Montreal in 1976.
