Played bball for 3 hours a bit of shooting but mainly pick up. I was able to dunk today on almost every attempt and felt 'bouncy'.

damn nice!

I tried getting my friends to throw me lobs, but the timing was always out of place. My bodyweight is down to 85kg.

:ibjumping:

Women's 100m Final

Elaine Thompson won in 10.71.
Torie Bowie 2nd in 10.83 and Shelly Ann Fraser came 3rd in 10.86.

ya, sick.

i was just coming on to post about that and:

usain bolt: didn't look great in his start, but man o man did he look good towards the end.. beastmode.

mo farah: 10k gold.. not sure why these guys are holding back so much though man.. push the damn pace. Mo Farah fell and still had no problems.. seemed like an easy win for him. Glad he won but, not sure what his competition is thinking tbh.

Bolt V Gatlin showdown :headbang:

Still recovering from this bloody chest infection. Feeling pretty good but the chesty cough is hanging around. It's been nearly two weeks since I lifted which is a bitch. Have basically done nothing since the ball game last Wednesday. Thankfully my weight hasn't changed. Still around that 92-93 mark and a mirror check this morning confirmed my body comp is pretty much the same which is lucky considering what I have and haven't eaten the last two weeks.

Am going to lift tonight and see how I go. Will do an easy-ish session. Prob just squat and ohp. Will also use this opportunity to start squatting in my oly shoes again.

Plan for next week is to lift twice, play ball and jump and then re-introduce track work when the cough is completely gone. No point here at this time of year doing the track in the morning. It's usually 5-6 degrees which isn't going to help anyone.

damn you been dealing with that chest infection for a while now..

i tell you what, i've only been sick once in the last year but, I don't have much contact with people anymore.. So easy to get sick when you "go to work". Prior to taking this year off, I got sick a ton the previous 3 years.

Yeah it's been quite persistent.

It's mainly the kids. People send their sick kids to school which is the worst thing. Then everybody gets it. I think my immune system is worn though. I get this way pretty much every year so need to do something. Been looking into different probiotics and stuff like that to help me in the future.

Yeah there's been a lot of illness going around this winter. It's also been the coldest/wettest winter I can remember. I'm just counting down the days until summer and warmer weather!!!

bad luck to get sick right after starting the new gig. if it makes you feel any better, my brother has MRSA in his ankle and my friend had a case of strep so bad last week that when he went to the doctor, the doctor went and got all the medical staff together to look at his throat. it literally bled. and he had a 104-degree fever.

Yeah it's definitely not a very good look having a day off after just 1 week. I was hoping that I'd recover over the weekend, but I didn't recover in time. I'll be at work tomorrow. Sorry to hear about your friend and your brother. It's ironic that you mention MRSA because that's my new job- booking surgeries at a Hospital. I don't know all the terminology, but I've been taught that if somebody is a MRSA they have an infection and need to be placed last on the theatre list.

I guess that's why I'm just so disappointed with this job is that its in health care so unless you're a doctor or a nurse it's a real dead end job. My plan is to work here for 6 months and then transfer to another Government department hopefully in Treasury or Finance, but even in a social area like Housing etc. would  be fine because at least there is chances for career progression.

I ended up getting sick a couple of days ago and have this nasty cold and very chesty cough. I've taken the day off work today even though it's only my first week, which doesn't give a good impression, but I'm seriously run-down. I spent the whole weekend in bed drinking teas and lots of fluids. Hopefully I feel better tomorrow.

This week has been a hard week. I started a new job, which is actually a downgrade, but I only took it because it's a permanent job with the Government so security wise it's very beneficial (I was temporary before). I started my new job on Monday and I guess I just hate the work+ it's a bit of a learning curve. So far everything that can go wrong has gone wrong mainly just minor stuff, but it has been frustrating and my colleague is a 58 year old who looks in her 70's...asking her about past workers there's been 5 people in the last 5 years and in my head I was thinking I've been here less than a week and I already want to find another job!!!

So yeah it's been a shit week. Drank way too much alcohol (last week I was drinking to celebrate this week I've been drowning my sorrows everyday except today), but I'm just going to put it behind me now and focus on the positives and start going to the gym instead of the pub after work. Travel wise the job is a bit of a bitch as well, but I'm just going to suck it up and try and make the most of this opportunity.

Training wise I played pick up 2 days on the weekend and did around 30 ME jumps. I need new shoes, but I'm going to hold off purchasing any until around October once this rain fucks off.

Bodyweight- 86.8

Played pick up for an hour and shot around.
Had 15 jump attempts they were fairly mixed. I need new shoes that have grip as they are worn out.

Bench-
It felt so weird since I haven't benched for about a month.

Played pick up for the first time in around a month. I won every game except for 1 in best of 11 in 9 games.

Jumps-
Had 10 dunk attempts and managed to land 2, but they were pretty ugly. My RVJ is around 34 inches atm, which is good considering my body fat.
