having been myself deeply in love with the BSS, my mind is shattered each and every time I read this man's log.

Thanx BMully and (again;)) Vag!

Andrew I'm so proud you'll sticky the thread. I mean, that's a major honor for me, really.
I see your point talking about the diagnostic technology and I agree to an extent. The scenario you described is true without any doubt, but of course the benefits of progress exceed by far these kind of downsides.
And what you say can be actually applied more in general: if you know "too much" than you could face some difficult choices, and have multiple options, and choose for the worst. But I like having the chance to choose.
As for me, yes I was sort of depressed. Not only for the knee. I was studying for the most important exam of my life, trying to get the new job, and then I had to move far from my family and my friends, to a whole new reality. I felt like everything I was at that time was fading, while it was only changing.
And changing actually helped me. Playing with the pros, for example, was a great confidence boost for sure. The new reality helped me react, I was lucky I had people who love me near me and I was able to find the strenght to turn things around from whithin.

but enough talk for now, gotta go out and play :D!

P.S.:How do you, being yourself a bonafide ankle-breaker, like my handles? :P

Hey thanks Enzo. My thinking process is to pretty much rest now in the Autumn since there will be raining etc outside... so basically I need to rest as part as my training process if you will (and if I will :P). I'm training with pretty much no rest at all (consistently) for like 1 year+, maybe it's time to give the body some due respect and let it recover. I could still do core work and maybe some kind of one-leg RDL... pure hip extension, low volumes, just for the sake of it. And upperbody work, bodyweight work (pushups, pullups etc).

Then if I get healthy, and if my injury is overuse-related (it would appear so) - then I might get healthy again. I'm also thinking of switching to low bar squats and I plan on getting into that using box squats first to learn to sit back more...

I have an amalgam of things in my head... I even plan to write an article about the "perfect plan" (yes, pretentious words here) with a thorough analysis of whatever a "perfect" plan should contain from all the standpoints of training (that includes a lot of stuff).

Anyway, regarding the bounds: I think you can still do one-leg consecutive bounds on the left leg... there's nothing that can stop you since the right knee is the injured one... just make sure you're fit enough to do them so you don't injure that too. I'm doing them (I won't from now on) and I'm always thinking "be careful, be focused" when I'm doing them so that I don't get injured.

These were the last ones that I did:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sXzpg-ylt9I

I know how it feels like.
I will keep your advice in mind, as always. As for now, the bold part is my mindset also. I just prefer to avoid anything even remotely dangerous except playing. Playing is so much of a demanding activity I don't want to do much else for the moment
Glad to see you will rest. That's a much needed rest indeed man. I'm looking forward to your big time comeback man.
I can see that coming from here: Raptor dunk mix. Karaoke soundtrack. Short shorts. High jumps. Awesome!;)

As for Enzo... I get very hardly impressed/happy about someone... I did for him. I really am a passive guy and pretty much a hater in essence... not with Enzo for some unknown reason I guess. I genuinely am happy for you man, hopefully you stay healthy. Usually when I say stuff like this is just "politically corectedness" when I don't really mean it so ... you know... it's genuine for you.

thx emil.
I always felt this sort of (no homo LOL!) connection too. both of us single leg leapers, both of us on the same page (you were better when I started, and your best is better than my best though) althletically.
what I've always appreciated the most about you (wit humor and english mastery come as close second ahah!;)) was your insight-analysis ability, and your overthinking attitude in general. though it can be some kind of an obstacle in the way to achieve your goals sometimes, it is a clear sign of how much you care about it.
that's what makes you special, above all the other things, in my eyes. your passion.

the best advice I can give you, from the bottom of my hart, is: fix the knee. I know this means stop training and undergoing some expensive exams. but when it's about your health, money are always well spent. And simply don't worry about losing your hard gained results. when I stopped lifting, I thought I wouldn't be able to dunk again. It took the hell of an hard work with weights to put down a legit dunk for me, so I simply thought I would have lost it all. But I was eventually able to bounce back.

stop training, fix the knee, rest, don't rush things up, return pain free, BAM!
some seriously hard times might be ahead. But you can make it. I know you will.

you have it in you man.

DUUUUUUUUUUUUDEEEEEEEEE

ENZO IS FLYIN.

i knew you'd be back, just didn't know when.. but i didn't expect that kind of comeback LOL.. ridiculous.

those dunks were better than any i've seen you do.. well maybe a few from way back were just as good, but these had some serious aggression/passion behind them, so ya these are the best i've seen you do :P

i love it man! big respect to you for getting everything back on track.

i woke up not wanting to dunk today, but i feel like trying to destroy a rim now hahah.

my yotube comment:

"this video is amazing.. i bow to you.. you are jumping higher than before, look even stronger/more in shape.

raptor mentioned bounds, but remember, keep it simple and don't do any dumb advanced stuff.. whatever you've been doing has been working great..

im seriously impressed.

thanks for the shoutout too..

peace man, really looking forward to your next video."

peace!@$$@!%!@

a lot of replies!
I don't know where to begin from guys!

thanks for the kind words andrew. I've been on a rollercoaster, emotionally speaking, for quite a long time now, overthinking about what I had to do with my knee, staying madly focused on every little message from my body, going mad each and everytime some weird shit happened...when they told me I could play, something in my head switched on.

Bottom line is: I wanted it so bad. It was all about mind over matter for me. And if my mind was strong enough, I owe that to you and all the other guys working hard and motivating me.

Yesterday was my birthday. I couldn't buy myself a better present than that video ahah!.

I'm trying to be as active as I can man.
The new job takes so much out of me, (9.5 hours/day....sometimes 12 h) I try to go out there and ball every single time that I can though.
Some A-rank pro baller is expected to play around here in a couple of weeks. And I'm talking about guys who played-play in the top national league and in the national team. So I'm pretty excited about it.

Knee is doing fine. A little bit of discomfort from time to time. Nothing that I should be worried about too much, I think.
I got to do a CT and see a specialist on July the 2nd.

That's it.

Ps: I LoLed at your last post ahah!
